Thank you, I love purple and yellow together, I really thought the yellow was a bit too dark this time. But the cake was nice anyways, thank you very much...
That was a beautiful cake. I love the flowers. I am about to make a cake for a sweet 16 b'day with a Hawaiian theme. Would you please tell me how to make the stamens for the Hisbiscus flower? I have less than a week to make this cake and I really want to add hibiscus.
Hi there, thank you very much for your comment. For the flower you need a floral wire. With a needle nose plyer, bend the tip into a circle and then bend sideways. Take your fondant and create a cone shape. Push the fat part on your wire and press in place so it wont come off. shape tip as desired and hang upside down to dry. Make very tiny balls too and dry on paper towel. After dried and the petals are attached to your bud, attach balls to tip with a gumpaste water solution. Let dry.
Wow, thank you. I do see what you mean. maybe using the dull side of the foil or not making the base so large, also huh I will also try that fondant idea. Thank you
that is a beautiful cake!!!!! the only suggestion i have (being that you asked) is the board itself..maybe covering it in fondant or a not so shiny foil, otherwise it is perfect: from the colors to the flowers!
This is absolutely wonderful! I am making my daughter's grad cake this week, and I wish I would have come across your video 3 weeks ago! Beautiful!!
