Teh NFC has the NFC West which has been the worst division in the NFL for the last 5 years.
Also the AFC won 10 of the first 14 Post Merger SBs and 9 of the last 12.
So since it's been AFC vs NFC in the SB the NFC has won 20 and the AFC has won 19.
The first four games were before the merger but it would still only be NFC 22 AFC 21 if you count GB in 66/67 as NFC and Jets Chiefs as AFC in 68/69.

Think the cowboys have to worry bout their own team. We have nothing to lose right now because we have nowhere but up to go. The cowboys however are in a tailspin. TO is getting unhappy, we saw the true nature of Romo against philly. Have the cowboys gotten out of the first round of the playoffs once since Aikman retired? Well then by your faulty logic, the Vikings should be considered more successful than the Bears. Vikings made it to four Superbowls and lost all of them. Bears made it to two SB and won one with that Great Bear defense of Richard Dent and Mike Singletary. And let's not forget the offensive magic of Willie Gault and "The Fridge". Not really. Teams play to win Superbowl's.
Last I checked, Niners and Cowboys are tied with five, although the edge should be given to the Niners since they were the first to make it to five.
Furthermore, the niners have the highest winning percentage in Superbowls (5-0).
So sorry, but having all those 13-3 seasons but choking in the playoffs hardly makes you successful.

If the Cowboys and or/Steelers win #6, it does not make them the greatest team ever. That means Ben Roethlisberger and Hines Ward would have TWO titles. The greatest team was the 70's Steelers because they had so many players--22-- on one team that won four Super Bowls. The Niners (with 6) are the only other franchise
who had players that won four SBs with one team.
