The other beautiful thing about Wooten is unlike technical behemoths on guitar (Batio, Cooley) and some on bass (Sheehan) that sacrifice musicality for tech chops, Wooten plays with a lot of emotion and just down to earth feeling in his playing, and has a lot of taste. He is literally extremely well rounded in every aspect of bass playing and is measurably the best in the world technique wise and creativity wise (Claypool and Manring are high in creativity too though), but Victor is the number 1

He can also produce sounds from the bass that absolutely no other player can get or has been able to replicate and has the best, cleanest, and fastest slap in the world, making him a clear technical behemoth in that field. His tapping ability is also known to be unmatched. The funny thing though is comparing Flea to him. Flea is an amazing bassist and definitely one of the best, arguably in the top 100 most skilled, I'd put him around 60's, but comparing him to Wooten is laughable.

He is undeniably the most technically skilled and creative bass player alive, no one even comes close except maybe Michael Manring, but the gap is large.
