  • Terrible, really terrible

  • well, im glad people are spreading more beatles to the world. no matter which way you think of it, thats NEVER a bad thing! go beatles! and the people trying to spread it to the world and doing a great job at it! :D

  • I liked them but some of their costumes are really ridiculous

  • its not the paul i saw on numerous concerts. the paul i saw was left handed. there are 2 pauls/

  • I saw the guy who plays John up close....he's really old.

  • I love Paul but this guy (along with paul) Still play bass with a pick! lol

  • @ventriloquistguy There is corroboration for my points at various places on the internet. And the answer to your question is "suspension of disbelief"... the thing that makes you believe a movie is real, or that these guys are "the Beatles" for a while. Nothing wrong with it, just don't tell everyone that you were in Narnia riding unicorns all night, or tell someone they're wrong in spite of technical data and private/public admissions from the band and people they work with. OR at least say why

  • Isnt Rain the band that did the music for Birth of the Beatles?

  • @devlindomini Yes they did the music for "Birth of the Beatles". I have the film. It took me years to find. They did a great job with the music and it's a good flick. Some Beatles fans nit-pick it but it's as "true" as any other bio-pics on Rock artists and it's MUCH better then "Backbeat" since it's music is better and it's OK for family viewing.

  • @JMYodaTHX

Birth Of The Beatles!!! You got that? That's great, I havent seen that since I was a kid. I do remember it as being better than Backbeat too.

  • I was going to the bathroom and this guy in the bathroom started to sing this but hewas creepy and smelled like alchocal and didn't sing well!

  • I saw theese guys in scranton pa. last september. They ARE 100% real and 100% tight. The 5th guy does a lot of keyboards but primarily uses them to do the horns and strings and what-not so they don't have to have an orchestra like "classical mystery tour" who I have not seen yet. The 5th guy also stays off to the side and does not play a beatle..no costume or hair. see them if ya get the chance..........

  • Good but its to slow

  • @SEANFIR remeber they are using 60's equiptment for mics so its a little crapper

  • "Paul" needs to be left-handed.

  • there is something wrong here...

  • I am a pro muso and i think these guys appear to be great!BUTthe playing is so slick and tight and the vocals are right up there allthe time ...it does beg the question of whether they play with backing tracks and recorded BVs as well! Any one in the business knows just how many shows and bands use backing tracks the best i ever saw was Def leppard ..the guitars were note for note sonically perfect to every song...Impossible especially when you are jumping around

  • man their gear must have cost a fortune

Rickenbackers are super expensive and a Grestch Country Gentlemen is worth a fortune, while the other guitars may not cost as much they dont come cheap either but hey these guys know how to use them

  • Well I bought Tickets to Rain 5 months ahead of time, front row, seats 1 and 2, right in front of "John" got so excited the week ahead, surprised my dad with the tickets, then went to the wrong theater. FUCK MY LIFE.

  • TRY YO GUITAR THEY SOUND AWSOME

  • Rain is way overated..Song too slow costume too short and Paul is too heavy.

  • Overated compared to what ?

Ever seen them play live ?

I am guessing NO... Are they the real Beatle's ? NO ...then shut up dogman !!

  • Rain are awesome. But, WHY do they play everything so slow? Listen to the original. They copy everything but 'tempo' spot on.

  • whered they get the costumes someone please tell me

  • they had to get them custom tailored

    costs around 300+ per costume

  • ebay i sgreat!!1lol

  • Spot on!

  • Man, they do a great job sounding like them!

  • I just went there yesterday

  • This is amazingly impressive! Where are these guys from?

  • these guys aren't bad at all i just wish the guy who played paul was left handed

  • i love how they change threw time period

  • i think he is now!! i went to one of the newer ones and he was playin lefty!!!

  • @unclepic1 I saw them live a couple months ago, and the strange thing is "Paul" can play the bass left handed, but plays an acoustic guitar right handed.

  • @unclepic1, i know they have different shows all over the country but the guy who plays Paul on Broadway in NYC, is ambidextrous, though played mostly left-handed like Paul. Just came from a show tonight. I Cannot. Stop. Thinking. About. Tonight's. Show.

**youtubes more Beatles and Rain videos**

  • @unclepic1 the guy who played paul when i saw them a week ago trained himself to be left handed :) im so glad he did

  • @crowheartwarrior haha i know as a big beatles fan it really does take away from the experience

  • they'll be as big as the Beatles some day...

    just kidding.

    AGHH I love them.

  • am a massive beatles fan and went to see them in boston as a gift from the girlfriend, wasnt initially bothered about going as i dont like cover bands but OMG they were amazing! one of the best shows ive ever been too and ive been to a hell of a lot over the years.

  • Bostonmurf, they're not a cover band, - because they dress and act the part, unlike cover bands, and so, they are a tribute band.

  • that sounds really good

  • Thefifth person to join the band named "The Beatles" was Pete Best.

First there were John, Paul, George and Stu Sutcliff. Needing a drummer, they auditioned Pete Best who joined them as the fifth member of the band.

Sorry to burst any Bealte-lore bubbles.

  • i just saw them

    IT WAS FREAKING SWEET!

  • I saw this the other day and i was in the 2nd row..it was amazing!

  • These guys are worth the price .... all 4 members are former Beatlemania Broadway guys .... and yes they have a 5th beatle playing ...... no tapes .... all real music performed live..... Joey,Steve,Joe and Ralph are true tribute "Legends" and have a 30 year resume to prove it! See them!!

  • yeah i know..they were amazing!

  • I saw these guys in October. They are absolutely phenomenal. They do the Beatles' mannerisms perfectly and the music is amazing!

  • so truth fairy theres a fifth rain beatle ?

  • Yeah there was this other guy doing various sound effects and stuff that came out and bowed at the end of the show.

  • Because there was actually a fifth real Beatle. Know as the Black Beatle. And of course he was black. He played keyboard on most of the Beatles albums. I forget his name and am too lazy to look it up but he exists.

  • Wrong! Billy Preston, "The Fifth Beatle", only played on one album -- Let it Be. That was 1969.

  • Yea but im not wrong about there being a fifth beatle. So whatever.

  • k well u know shit about the beatles if there is a fifth beatle it should be one of their original members not some guy who places barely anything

  • Yes i know alot about the Beatles. I know probably more than you. See, a true Beatles fan dosnt belive in all the bullshit publicity stunts they pulled. You probably think Paul died dont you? If you knew anything about the Beatles you wouldnt be trying to down my comment I left a long time ago. Nirvana had 3 original known band members. But if you actually knew the band you would know that there was really 4 band members. Tard!!

  • Well actually Pat Smear was a touring musician. He never played on any of the band's studio albums.

    TARD!!!!!!!!!!

    Nice try though.

  • He didnt play on any of the albums because he was picked up after the release of Inutero, TARD!!!!! But on tour he played and sang backup vocal. Did the Unplugged with them also, and Kurt introduced him as their new guitar player. Was also credited as a band member on the Nirvana Unplugged album. Just because he wasnt on previous albums dont mean he wasnt a band member. TARD!!!!! Anything else?

  • Comment removed

  • @hypercamnoob1 yeah i saw them, the guy plays the piano

  • Paul is Beast!

  • and i love joey

    [the "maccartney"]

    lol his actually pretty cute!!!

  • im gonna see this guys in jan!!!

i cant wait i heard they were awesome!

im gonna be in row 6!!

    im so excited!

  • SEANFIR you are obviously deaf and dumb.

  • I agree with Joe as well...everything is live

  • Seanfir, I can ASSURE you positively, there is absolutely NO lip-synching in this show. The instruments ARE played live. There IS a keyboard guy doing a LOT off to the side. And the 'George' is playing a synth guitar a lot of the time. It's all real -as unbelievable as it appears. Cheers!

  • I did notice him, but that does not discount what I know about microphones, and instruments. If you watch these videos, you can see that there are times when the vocals don't match up, the instruments are out of synch, and sometimes the bassist stops playing altogether. It's still a decent effect. I can guarantee what I saw on PBS was pre-tracked. I've recorded live and produced my own tracks for over 20 years. It's ok to believe, though. peace

  • Hah, did you ever think that maybe things don't match up do to my horrible video recorder and the bad quality of Youtube? Everything is set off a bit.

  • You're just mad because you still live with your mother and have nothing better to do except watch MASH and pretend to know what "musicianship" is on youtube.

  • @SEANFIR to be fair due to camera quality sound and vision are often out of sync which makes it look like it's not 100% official . I don't think anything is lip synced or mimed, because it would defeat the object of a live show

  • I'm sorry this upsets you, but I am a professional musician and have seen they're whole show on PBS... It's convincingly done, but about 50% fake. Some instruments are played, but many are pre-tracked along with vocals. You mention that a keyboard is used to play the horn parts, but no one is playing one on this track. Also there is a thing called proximity effect, a person who sings close to a mic is louder, farther softer. As good as they may be, they can't break the laws of phycics. SORRY!

  • If you had been to the show, you'd know that there is a fifth member who plays the keyboard and does the extra sound effects. And none of it is prerecorded.

  • That's 'cause you can't see the keyboard player in this clip, hun.

  • Hey SEANFIR, there is a keyboard player on the stage, and he is playing all of the horn parts live, and the voice tracks are recordings of the singers of this band, he just plays them along with the live show.

  • I remember seeing that guy and thought how it was kind of cool how they had him looking actually like a "5th Beatle" (He didn't have any costume tho) With a 60's style haircut and English look.

  • RAIN is seriously the best beatles cover band there is

  • Cover bands don't dress up or act the character,...and so,... Rain is a tribute band not a cover band.

  • @SEANFIR you're thinking of the law of wave dispersion, not proximity

  • @SEANFIR if you figured it out, dont you think professinals would have and, shut them down, and cancelled their touring? sorry to rain on your parade but RAIN is all true.

  • As a musician, I was also impressed, seeing them on PBS, but I must say that after close scrutiny and years of running live sound myself, they are lip-synching! But they're pretty good at the lip-synch!

  • You haven't even seen them live. You are the worst person to be judging.

  • Just saw Rain on PBS, and they are very good. However, I think American English (another Beatles tribute band out of Chicago) might be a little better. Check them out if you get the chance.

  • OMG These Guys R Great And Everybody Thinks Im Crazy Cuz Im So 14 Year Old Listening To 60's Throught 90's LOL XD!

  • im 14 and ive been listening to the beatles scince i was 6. they never get old!

  • Dude I No I Love Oldies Cuz U Never Have To Worry About It Not Being Alittle Trippy Or Not Having Any Rock Solos But Now Of Days People Listen To Some Dude Who Just Talks About Himself Like Flo Rida. His Name Is Probably Florida But He Made It Flo Rida

  • Rain was awesome on Cape Cod!!!

  • i saw them at the north shore music center. i almost started crying when they played imagine. mostly because it was so moving, and because i was pissed that i wasn't alive in the 60's.

  • where was this recorded?

  • the begginging was funny because they said "we please ask that during this performance you will not smoke....ANYTHING!!!!"

  • I was at their concert last night!

  • I went too, on Sunday the 22nd. It was amazing! My daughter and I just went crazy over them!

  • yooo great honestly if i heard them on the radio i swear to god i wouldnt know the differnece

  • I saw them the other day, and they're amazing. They really do sound like the Beatles. If you closed your eyes it could've been them

  • They need a left hand bassist!

  • these guys rock..and so do the costumes

  • Saw them last night on Long Island. Amazing. Don't think Beatles ever sounded so clear and nuanced

  • I saw them yesterday and they were freakin' amazing!!!

  • Hah I just saw them on friday

  • ni se parecen

  • i saw them last night, today is my birthday, they aren't as good as the mahoney brothers... they are much better. to be honest, i don't think that they really act or sound like the beatles

  • Oh, I just saw them last night!! BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! So awesome. It was my birthday, so the Ringo guy gave me a signed drumstick! OMG.

  • Wow that's awesome! What a great birthday present. :D

  • Dude Thats Fucking Awesome.

  • rain is great but the only prob is paul is right handed xD

  • ha i saw that too. but other than that; he's pretty damn good

  • youre a fucking idiot and need to back to school.

  • You're one to talk, 'Sir Can't-type-the-word-'go'".

  • (today is jan 26) i just saw them yesterday and they are AMAZING!!!!! i thought they were the actual beatles at first!! my whole family got chills wen they walked out!!!

  • I like 8 Days A Week, the Beatles tribute band out of Cincinatii, Ohio. I saw them in Michigan City Indiana and they were just plain fun. Funny between songs and stuff.

  • Yeah, the Rain show had some funny things between songs as well. :)

  • The guy playin John...actually looks like him!

  • It's amazing how much all the guys look like the originals

The only one who doesn't much is "Ringo"

    and "Paul" looks plastic :P

Amazing show, I suggest every Beatles fan go to see these guys.

  • that's very odd. Ralph was a pretty good look a like when he was younger (a slightly better looking version of Ringo)

all in all, Rain is one of the better trib bands out there still

  • yes, i saw this months ago in seattle, and it was fabulous! not quite as sensational as the real band of course, but it was definitely worth it.

  • I do not agree. I think Fab Four from California are amazing. They pay more attention to details, they have a left handed Paul, all of them are thinner, their voices are close to the real thing. Finally, they perform any of the albums unlike bands such as 1964 Beatles Tribute Band.

  • ilartiste, I saw the Fab Four at Pearson Park, Anaheim and they changed my life. They sounded exactly like the Beatles. Their "John" did most of the instrumental parts from Sgt Peppers on his keyboard. Their "Paul" looked just like Paul McCartney and sounded just like them and played left handed. They played all the albums with perfection. They are awesome.

  • I just saw these guys last night in Schenectady, NY

    they were amazing

it was like seeing the real beatles live

  • it really is, i saw them earlier tonight in Raligh, NC... they were really good

  • I was there at the Raleigh performance. Performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps was outstanding. You'll not likely get a better chance in this lifetime to see what the Beatles were like.

  • yea it was, george had an awsome solo, and hey jude was great at the end

  • bleh the beatles rock hands down

  • imitation john is bad, paul is great

  • I saw them in Nanimo on July 16th. They were great!

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha, like it?

  • makes me think that the 5th guy is their "George Martin." he provides the extra instrument part. these guys play LIVE, and sounding like the Beatles, that's the hardest part.

  • indeed, he also doubled as paul a couple times

  • i didn;t see the crazy accordian player when i went, it must have been a different day.

  • Sounds like a lot of you here went to the Seattle show. Did you see the crazy guy playing Beatles on Accordian outside the Theatre?

  • my friend and i were the only ones singing who u could hear when it came to the people 18 and under on hey jude, so when she got embarassed and got all quiet so i was the only one singing, or the only one i could hear!

  • That's exactly how I felt. Everyone in my section turned and looked at me and my friend because we were the only ones singing.

  • LOL Better Then Having Ur Sister Screaming At The Top Of Her Lungs So Happy And Singing To Every Song Then Have Her Almost Sit On U

  • i went on jan. 27 in toronto! and i was one of the only pple in the under 18 part of hey jude too:P

  • haha i was there too... i know what you mean we were standing and screaming the last part. it was fuckin great.. all the old people (who were alive in those days just sat and stared) were like ... ?

    rain was great

  • I've seen Rain 4 times, saw the beatles live at Candlestick Park in 1966 - so that makes me one of "the old people" - but you'll never catch me sitting through this! RAIN ROCKS!!!!!!

  • grr lucky...i've seen rain, but the beatles were before my time =(

  • when he said "men only" they whispered, so he was like "VIAGRA!"

  • who's playing the bass when the macca guy stops?how much of this song is on track?is this acceptable in America?keep music live!

  • It said that nothing was pre-recorded. There was a fifth guy though. He came on stage and bowed at the end of the show, so it was most likely him.

  • All of the musical parts are played live. It does appear that there is a sync issue between audio and video on this clip which does make it look like the bass player is not playing the part you hear. I can tell you from behind the sound board at this show, that there is no playback of any sort.

  • Saw them Jan 31st in London at the JLC as soon as Paul got the crowd going they wouldnt stop (espally when they did the Sgt.Pepper set and hey Jude) I liked the end of day in the life with the nuke holding the note

  • Paul needs to be left handed

  • the guy playing lennon needs to lay off the bangers and mash...fat bahst

  • me and my 2 teenage friends were the loudest people in our area.

  • Yeah, I was the only one that was loud where I was sitting. When they asked people younger than 18 to sing, my friend and I were the only ones in my area that sang.

  • Part 2 of 2 - God forbid if someone doesn't get their car out of parking lot right away. Torontonians have no clue how to enjoy live events. here's the rule: come late, look dead, leave early.

  • I was there on the Friday as well, which was the 19th. So I'm not sure if you mean you were there Friday the 19th, or Saturday the 20th. Either way, I agree with you about the crowd. I felt quite bad because nobody was ever cheering.

  • oh right! the 19th! my bad..didn't the crowd suck rocks?

  • Yeah, it definitely did. I felt obligated to scream my head off every time I had a chance, because I was so close to the front, though.

The singing at the end during Hey Jude was pretty good, though.

  • (Part 1 of 2)saw them January 20th (friday) at Hummingbird. Not bad. Bugs me that they leave out lyrics of the songs in the interests of time. would rather hear complete versions. Typical toronto crowd was barely awake. came alive about 3/4 of the way through, musicians tried to pump them up & then crowd REALLY came alive once over (again typical).

  • They are totally awesome... great musicians and great stage presence. I adore them and seen them several times... please post your comments on their new web site if you wish, write to me if you want the address, it does not come up in a google search, it is brand new. I was there too on the 27th, I adored the atmosphere especially after intermission!

  • I saw them today (jan. 27) row Q seat 5

  • i saw them the 20th also man row v seat 52 at the humming bird

  • I saw them Jan 20 at Hummingbird, row EE section C

  • hey, omg i like JUST got back from Rain, it was soooooo amazing! i couldn't even believe it, they all looked soo great, the whole show was unbelieveable :)

  • SAME!!! I was also there!!! I was in row W, seat 28. Greatest experience in my life!

  • ya for sure best thing i've ever been to. we were back in row Y. im going next year for sure.

  • hey! i was there last night. i saw the january 20th show in Toronto. great concert
