so, aitai means "want to meet"

"aitai" also means "conflontation相対" but this word is too rigid and not coloqual, so we NEVER use it in love songs.

I am very aware that 会いたい means "I want to meet/see you" but the problem with this is he adds the word "super" to it. You can NEVER say "I want to super meet you."...so "Super confrontation" makes the most sense...

...but this is exactly why I gave up translating this song...I like to try to stay as close to Japanese as possible...some things just make sense in Japanese and will not translate to English very well...

We often use "cho aitai", if we want to say, "I want to meet you so much". "cho 超" means "super". FI, Superman is Chojin超人. But we never say, "super aitai". This expression I heard for the first time in my life, so I think it was made by the lyric writer just for this song because of rhythm of the words or something like that. Additionally, not "super confrontation" but "want to meet you so much" fits better to the context of this love song.

i notice my roommate (japanese living in america for many years) likes to exchange between "chou" and "supaa" alot!! shell even say a sentence and use both adjectives at the same time. example: "chou kawaii, berii berii kyuuto, supaa kyuuto" im wondering if this has to do with residing in america...people in japan dont keep emphasizing the sentences with the same meaing over and over again do they?

but yeah, she doesn't make that much of a distinction between "chou" and "supaa"...*makes a note*
