The dmv sucks so bad. I lost my license 12 years ago. I call them and Im on hold for a fuckin hour. I go to the DMV and they send me to another branch. One branch has info that another does not. Its a FUCKIN CATASTROPHIC MESS? Who invented this shithole. I am in MASSACHUSETTS! One guy got A job years ago at the registry and then they realized it was a great biz and he asked the govorner to get more help and they hired all his friends weather they were losers or not! just need a clean record!!!!
The DMV is terrible! The guy literally failed me today because he said he didn't like me. I wasn't rude to him or anything, so I don't know why but he failed me. The guy flat out told me that was the only reason. I stopped at all the stop signs, looked both ways, perfectly parallel parked, perfect K turn and everything. So that goes to show even these government run places are discriminatory.
The Dmv in my area won't except the Drivers license that they issued you for if you want some things there and then sometimes they won't even ask for any id at all. I just renewed my license and they asked for no id! I could have been an identity thief and they would have given someone elses my id to use. Lol.

We drove from Dayton to Centerville to their DMV, and they told us to take the test i have to go to lebanon. So i ended up driving an hour to lebanon, we got their and i took the test. I passed than went to the building next door and waited 45 minutes to get in front of the line and showed them a copy of my birth certificate, my old passport which apparently expired a couple years ago,..
@hiian123 my MILITARY ISSUED ID CARD THAT IS VALID (my dad is an Air Force Civilian), my debit card, and my social security card and they did not let me get my temps!!! Apparently they needed a copy of my birth certificate with a special seal from the us govmt so we had to drive all the way home get my actual birth certificate from the bank vault, and go back and get my picture... I hate those motherfuckers!!!
DMVs are run by state governments, not federal government. If you want to make a point about federal government inefficiencies at least use department example run by the feds.

My dad gets VA care and he is very happy with it. I have insurance that is provided by my employer but NY state subsidizes it otherwise my employer could not afford to provide it so in a sense I have government health care. I am happy with it. France may be where the solution is for the USA.
The USPS runs a $1 Billion Deficit each year. Government employees are very depressing. In 2010, I'll be looking at all the state's budget deficits and I will laugh & laugh. Keep driving folks, nothing to see here, the recession is over, everything is fine:) One word of wisdom, "Don't get sick." Figure out what good health is, get well and stay well.

You should check out the history of USPS, entrepreneurs undercut the iron fist of USPS and provided mail delivery at a fraction of the price, but the government shut them down. Henry Wells vs USPS. Fedex and UPS operate under a loophole where they deliver packages only. With no competition and using 'Other Peoples Money' the government ensured that USPS would be a money drain. @skyding8962 There are reasons why people go in person not because of a bad driving record.
1) People don't have credit cards so they have to pay in cash.
2) If you need to take a new picture (so you haven't age in 12 years so you kept the same driver's license for 12 years. )
3) You have to abide what your renewal notice says. It will tell you if you need to take a written test
4) To take an eye vision exam for older drivers
