Now I know this is not the only factor in determining what a child will be like when they grow up, but it is one of the major factors in the outcome. I don't understand why parents, especially black parents, hit their children, all it does is teach them to either be violent themselves or be fearful of others who are violent to them. I used to think it was o.k to spank kids until I realized the real damage that it does. children need reason, understanding, comfort, love, friendship,
You know, you're alright. When I seen your user name, I immediately judged you.... I know it was wrong.....sigh. But I'm actually glad I stopped to listen to what you had to say, it was very informational. First let me say this, I think all parents before they make that big leap to have children should take a psychology class. Parenting is a major responsibility, and the way you raise a child will most likely determine what that child will be like as an adult. Now I know this is not the only fa
How come black parents never adopt a white child? I've never heard of one case, and I can't find any cases by doing a search online. Why is it always white parents adopting black kids and not the other way around?
International child adoption is a crime. To take a child from it's own culture and bring him to another country and raise him like someone else and then change his name so that the child is now untraceable. They say God tells them to do this but God never said take a child from it's mother. What I see is Ethiopia doesn't have government and it's corrupt selling every and anything. I have seen the West has stationed itself in Ethiopia to sell our children. this is the modern day slavery.
certainly do. But kids brains are not fully developed. So they can only process so much talk. I do my best to try to make my son believe that I will tear his tail up if necessary. And then I secretly hope that this fear along with my wearing his ears out will help him become the man God would have him be. As for those "parents" - hopefully they'll not have the opportunity to "parent" any other kids ever again. And
and talking back. It was ok to talk back while walking away or from the next room, but not to her face. When we did, we may or may not get a whipping - most times not. Mama probably whipped each one of us 3-4 times during our entire childhoods. Still, we hated it and have whipped our kids even less. All of our kids except mine are young adults, and the fact is, they are not as respectful as we were and are. I think it's because we had more discipline. And yeah, I know parents can talk. I
My child is 13 yo and I still have mixed feelings about corporal punishment. My mother had 10 of us and was very definite about when she wud use corporate punishment. We knew from the cradle that if we hit one of our siblings for any reason, including self defense, we- got a whooping. I remember getting a whipping when I was 3 for hitting my 13 year old brother. She also threatened, and sometimes went thru with corporate punishment for direct sassing. Or in other words, looking her in the face
I wasn't surprised at the news. they looked like some serious sickos. They DON'T screen these people! This is exactly why the country of Eritrea doesn't allow outside adoption.
@YaNVme Adoption OUTSIDE of the country is strictly prohibited. We'd like to keep our human capital, i.e. out future, safe from the hands of potential psychos. In Eritrea, we also don't practice changing the name of an adopted child. We want them to respect the people that brought them into this world.
Your videos are so great, beautiful and very very informative than the US media. Thanks ...
The problem that I have with east-Africa (SOMALIA,ETHIOPIA,RWANDA CONGO , UGANDA etc...) they are extremely poor and they bring children to a crazy world ..what the hell is that? I am from AFRICA from an oil rich country (GHANA) I am in USA .tough I can afford it I will not just make baby for the fun of it ....they parents who letting the babies adopted are part of the problem ...that's my view . .
@YaNVme . You are one of the most talented youtuber I have ever met online and you understand what is going on around you and all over the world better than the average black-American. Can you tell me why BLack-amer. refuse to see AFRICA beyond TARZAN MOVIE and poverty? AFRICA is the world's fastest growing economy with so much potentials. It has poor countries , well structured, democratic and very advanced countries. we are not all poor or all of us are not from SOMALIA or CONGO...
@egbigan I completely agree with you. Many are ignorant in thinking Africa is a jungle and poor. I have never been to Africa, but I know better. The image of poverty is the image that America paints regarding Africa and people often believe what they see in the media.
@egbigan That's a great question. I have mentioned this briefly in a few of my videos but I've never really elaborated on it. I would prefer the term Black or African American. I have never identified with American, even when I was very young. I use American only if reference to my nationality because I was born here and my parents were born here also, but to just simply call myself American is not a title I would limit myself to. I will always acknowledge where my ancestors came from
I spank my kids but i believe its a time and a place for that and its not the first resort. You get better results from small children by explaining things to them than hitting them cause most of the time they dont understand why they are getting hit. Also i find it disrespectful to hit a child in the face. I am not gone let someone else tell me i cant discipline my child but i do know some folks dont know how to spank. They beat cause they got emotional issues, those folks should do spankings
If more black families would step up and adpot black babies then maybe it would be so many situations like these. Also if more black families would be open to having and raising children maybe there wouldnt be some many in the system. And if more of us valued our children as blessings instead of burdens then maybe things would be better as well. Did you know the # 1 killer in the black community is abortion. but since most dont consider that a life its not looked at that way.
did you hear about the woman who adopted two children from africa and killed one of the sisters by beating her with a pvc pipe in her back. The sister survived the beating had kidney problems. On thing I can say as a mother and a black women we need to tell the truth. a lot of us are not adopting our babies. A lot of us dont celebrate children or family. i mean myself we have 4 birth children and still consider either more of our own or adopting and folks think we are crazy. we are almost shuned
I am really sad about this story. I don't care how rebellious the child was...I feel that parenting classes should be a requirement by law for those who have concieved and are planning to become parents. Right now I'm a nanny/babysitter part-time and most of the parents I work for do not spank yet there children are so well behaved. All these parents had plans to start a family before having there children and they equip themselves with the parenting tools necessary to communicate with children.
Murder is MURDER, But your perspective in this video makes me very upset on the novelty that people have for another person. Where is the fucking EMPATHY these days. You Have made a good Impression in this video and I think that you would make a good mother(if you are not already). You are a rare JEWEL! Good Video!
This is such a sad sad story. Hitting is hitting, but I do believe there is a difference between spanking and hitting. I believe that being a parent is one of the hardest things to do. People just have kids, or adopt kids, that don't know, or understand how to raise them. You have to go through school to learn, drivers ed to drive, but nothing to be a parent. People don't know how to be parents these days, nor take the time to learn, but common sense is a start..
