  • this is a great review man, thanks!

  • Really good review.

  • Well done!

  • many thanks, really helpful

  • Thanks for a great review. This is exactly what I needed to seal the deal! : )

  • "Please keep in mind I am not a model"

    LOL :D

  • Well done, great review in every way. Good job

  • Yea, but no tripod holder?

  • Great review. Thanks tells me all in need to know. No fannying around or time wasted during the review. So many reviewers like the sounds of their own voices that they dont actually tell you anthing much about the product. This review makes a refreshing change from most.

  • Best review ever ! I am wondering if my 550D (T2i) with a 70-200 F2.8 or F4 can fit into the "main gap" properly ?

coz' i hv tried it on the FastPack 200 and the zip struggled to be closed...

    thx ~

  • You're awesome! I was wondering if my 7D would fit with a 70-200 and you nailed it! Thanks for saving me from buying the 350, which probably would be too big and cumbersome for me to carry all day. Great review :)

  • thanks for your review:-)

  • Very good camera bag.. can i put a tripod as well? If not, which is the best camera bag with side access and can accommodate tripod?

  • haha, my friends called adam parker!!!

  • Great review! Thank you very much! I'm going to get me one on Ebay right now. :)

    All the best,

    Shahar Glass

  • i bet that macbook pro

is awsum viewing your photos on

    kind regards

    ps nice vid

  • i think the carmazzi1bag will be the next great laptop bag

  • Good for you haha! Good luck burning!

  • Nice review!

Just please, pleaaase buy a new couch. That's without a doubt the most hideous couch I've ever seen!

  • @TijmenDal HA!! Yes it is about as ugly as can be. It's 30 years old is a complete piece of trash. I plan to replace it in a few months and will most likely burn it to the ground when I do.

  • @aparker1981 OMG! That couch is in my new movie. Well not yours but a friend a friend of mine has this exact couch. It's murder on the camera too.

  • can the fastpack250 hold a tripod?

  • @KarmagraphyBM not by default, but you can place a mid-size tripod on the side using the water bottle mesh and a bungee cord. See example in my 2nd video entitled "Lowepro Fastpack 250 Usage Review - Size, Durability, Comfort - post trip"

  • Excellent review. Thank you. This bag is now on my Christmas list. Great to see that there's room for my iPad too.

  • Really reaally awsome review!! You made up my mind.

    Thanks!!

  • Thank you so much. This is super helpful.

  • Is my 15.4 macbook pro fits on this fastpack 250, because i got the fastpack 200 and i would upgrade to the 250 fastpack, si i don;t need to carry two bags one for my camera and other one for my laptop 15.4 macbook pro and ipad plus chargers!

  • Definitely. ;)

  • I'm considering this bag as an alternative to the Slingshot 200 or 202 AW. It's because it has the sling functionality while still keeping the comfort of the backpack.

  • So not even Alexa Internet will show even the web traffic statistic for the website shown in the video. It's a bit of a disappointment. But then again, there are other great photography blogs I can follow. Thanks anyway!

  • Hey, is your website (blog) closed down or something? Because when I type in the full URL address as shown in the video I get the message that the server is not responding. I use Firefox 3.6.8. I did a quick Google search and I clicked on the fourth link in the result list which is the statistics page for that website on Alexa Internet web traffic website and I got the "504 Gateway Time-out" message telling me that the server did not respond in time.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • is it water proof or weather proof, i dont want to go diving with it lol just from rain????

  • @looftastic the main upper and lower compartments hold up well to rain. The upper compartment has a plastic lining on the outside. This is how I would estimate the bag's rainproof capabilities based on my limited experience.

    1. drizzle/light - all day,

    2. moderate - 4+ hours of exposure

    3. heavy - 2+ hours of exposure

    4. monsoon - 30min to 1 hour

I was pleased with how well it held up.

  • @looftastic THE BAG CAN HANDLE EXCESSIVE RAIN NO PROBLEMS EVEN SUBMERGED FOR A FEW MINUTES

  • Brilliant review!

  • I wish they made this bag a lot slimmer, maybe a version for cameras with no battery grip.....

  • Thanks for the detailed review! i'm going to get one today! :)

  • Heeey I got that tshirt too. Is it the bubba gump on times square? I went to new york to celebrate new years eve 2010. Oh and the The Shrimpin' Dippin' Broth is really great.

    But hey, great review.

  • Thanks for your quick answer!. I've checked witht he airlines for carry-on size and both the 250 and 350 seem to meet the requirements. I'll be going to the local shop next week to check them out. I've also seen another similar bag which has a flap on either side- i.e. left or right handers. It's more than 2x the price of the Lowepro but I can't see that feature being worth that much. Again, thanks for the info- it's a big help!

  • Nice review, thanks for the info. It seems that my nikon D700 with battery grip will fit nicely in the caqmer compartment. What I am really wondering about is what about the size when traveling on the airplanes? With the new restrictions of carry-on luggage especially for international travel, this is a major concern of mine. Can you give any advice about that?

  • @RentnerSpassV I've traveled with this bag a lot and will be doing so again this weekend. When the bag is completely full it will just barely fit under the seat in front of you. Without a laptop it should fit fine. And it is very small for th e overhead bin, especially when compared to the size of bags people take as carry-ons these days. So, in short, it should not present any problem for air travel.

  • Wow great review thank you, I am now almost positive I might buy this bag.

From your point of view though, do you think I can fit a d90 w/grip and 50mm (as quick access part), another body, a flash, 18-105mm, and 70-300mm in the camera compartment?

  • @Thundertits8D Fitting all that in the camera compartment would be tough. I think you could fit the following in the camera compartment if you tried. D90+grip+50mm, flash, 2nd body. Also you could put in the 18-105 or the 70-300, but not both....unless the 70-300 could go in depth-wise, then maybe you could get them both in there, but I doubt it. Hope that helps.

  • @aparker1981 Than you very much for your quick reply, maybe the fastpack 350 will work? haha idk.

  • Thanks for the review! Saw the bag at Digital Photography, and it's what I need. Read reviews, helped. Watching your video, helped A LOT!

    Thank You aparker1981!

  • Great video! How does the quality of the 28-135 compare to the 24-70? I am looking into getting a 28-135 as an all around lens for my XTi. Do you have a website or Flickr for your pictures?

  • great video!! thanks for sharing!

  • woow.. just bought one just before saw your preview, I didn't realize it was so nice.... ! I mean I suspected now I'm shure :)

    thanks about the review

  • Nice video!

  • Definitely?

  • Nice review. Only one lacking in this bag careful. There is no strap for the tripod. I think Lowepro forgot about it to place it on the side.

  • Superb and informative review!

  • great review! im getting this bag soon

  • Hello, have you tried this one under rain? Does the content get wet? Many thanks

  • I would also like to know how does it hold up in the rain.

  • Why do the manufacturers think that everyone wants to carry their bag over the LEFT shoulder?? I am used to carry it over my right shoulder and that way these bags are useless to me (and everyone else with the same preference).

  • I'm not certain, but I would guess it is so that you can reach into the bag with your right hand. Since SLRs have the firing controls on the right hand, that results in the quickest bag-to-shooting transition possible. Just my guess though.

  • I think rrnt is lefthanded. No issue if you grab the cam with your right hand. Issue is if you can even get to the cam..

  • Thanks for the review it helpedme to take the leap to purchase the backpack.

  • Hey Adam I just wanted to thank you personally for a great review that really sold me on this bag. I am seriously considering one now that I have seen EXACTLY how much can fit in it and also the other compartments and the size of those compartments aside from the camera and lens area. Very nice review Adam. Please keep up the great job. You deserve to have many fans checking your reviews. Aloha buddy !

  • awesome review. now i'm sure, lowepro 250 is a good purchase..

  • great review shows all the features well, i buy this bag if it had a space for a tripod and a weather proff cover, still great bag and review

  • thanks! great video! I wonder if it can fit a small school binder? I'm a college kid that would love to use this as an all around "carry" everything" type of bag. Of course I'll still have to figure out how to carry my math book around on some days but oh well.

  • I was curious, so I grabbed a big old calculus book and shoved it in there. Without the bag being stuffed with other gear (i.e. no camera in the lower compartment) I would say you could carry a 1/2" binder and a big textbook without issue.

  • Awesome review! Thanks! It answered a lot of my questions.... I'm leaning towards getting this bag for my SLR a lot more now.

  • nice review - very helpful. This is my top pick for my T1i so far.

  • this is by far the best lowepro review that I've seen... thanks...

  • Great review. Thanks for posting - very helpful!

  • awesome review!

  • Which flash are you putting in there, the 430EXII or the 580EXII?

  • @a1000formsofmind That was an old 420, but I now have a 580 EXII in the upper part.

  • Great video man, I didn't think that bag was big enough for my stuff but you showed it's got the space. Thanks for saving me about $100 off of a bigger bag...

  • Awesome video

  • Very good review!

Would it work to have a body with the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 attached in the bag?

  • Ok, so I've checked, the 5DII with a 70-200mm f/4 fits in there with about an inch to spare. Since the 70-200mm 2.8 is .8 inches longer (2.8 IS is 1.0 inch longer) I think that a body with that lens will fit in here just fine.

  • Great! Thanks so much!

  • Thanks for your interesting video. I want to fit a 15" lenovo laptop + Canon Rebel XSi with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens + EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 lens. Do you think it can handle that ?

  • I'm not 100% certain on the 15" laptop, but, my 13" with a neoprene sleeve has a good amount of space in there. I think it can handle it just fine.

As for the camera gear, yeah, the bag will handle it with no problems.

  • This is best review! Thanks.

  • Very nice review thanks.
