@AKix32296 not a huge fan of the movie/storyline (always felt it was a bit goofy) but the music/soundtrack is top notch. i always thought it was every bit as musically interesting as the stuff bowie was doing at the time. in fact, i still don't understand who had more influence over the other-- UK glam or rocky horror soundtrack/o'brien. take a look at marc bolan in the mid 70s. the film clearly had a huge effect on his appearance/stage shows (or perhaps vise versa?). i'm straight, btw

I agree with what you're saying about Bowie, I can see influences from the UK glam and Rocky Horror in his music/style. I will have to look up some of Bolan's stuff in the 70s, I'm not really familiar with it. RHPS had an impact on a lot of stage productions. It was so intentionally campy, but the music was still awesome.
