As great a singer/composer/performer as he was sadly it was his sexual recklessness that did him in. Freddie was simply too permiscous. Had he wrapped his meat and his partner's he'd still be around pumping out great tunes. So sad to not have him around. The most talented always die young. Freddie will however be timeless.

this video is specially meaningful. I know that mr Mercury died of aids in 1992 and this video was recorded his appearance right before he died. It is sad. I believe that he is a very good performer and songwriter because i have only listened to bohemian rhapsody of Queen and found it extremely touching and attractive. the song affects my emotions.
no this didn't record his appearance right before he died.. this was allmost 1 year before he died.. these are the days of our lives video is probably the last time he was captured on video and that was shot on the 30th may 1991.. 5-6 months before he died. There is a photo here on youtube which shows him allot closer to his death, and it's not something i would suggest looking at as it makes you really sad seeing it.

I know this is selfish but I still find myself being angry at Freddie. To be so careless, so cavelier in his hedonism. A person can live his life as he sees fit but such a loss to the music world Is so sad. I honestly think queen would have had a major resurgence, much like Aerosmith has undergone. Who knows what might have come out of them over the years.

Queen is probably the best rock'n'roll band ever. I can only compare them to bands such as Guns'n, the Beatles and Rolling stones, and I found their 70's catalouge unbeatable. This is, of course spekaing from some affection, since I grew up with these songs, but I find this to be true.

Freddie's impact on rock 'n' roll music is simply eloquent! He was such a great lyric writer and his vocals were sharp, distinct, and i love how he and the other band members always harmonized. Queen is surely unique from other rock bands because of Freddie's femininity. We love you Freddie!
