i wonder why the feeder (pad holder) has them slipping a jab though.... most times a fighter counters a cross with a cross; so to me that's very odd. i guess it makes for good flowing, but the reality of it lacks a lil bit in my opinion
The slip from the pad holder can represent both the jab or a cross, as they are both straight punches. And don't forget a person can easily slip outside of a cross and deliver a jab counter. The jab is actually the more common punch thrown by all (experienced) strikers, sometimes 2 or 3 to one compared to the cross. There are so many possiblities, one has to think outside the box somtimes.
