I used to say to my wife only 10% actually gets to the charity. Her answer - guess what- if you can answer this correctly you feel bad all the time like us. I have a successful financial services company and tonight I have decided I am going to do something direct as a charity, which we will set up ourselves.

The only reason people act as if they really care is because caring sells. You see celebrities and folk stroking their egos telling people to donate as much as they did. I, frankly, don't care about these people. Am I a bad person? Maybe, but I'm far less a bad person than those who donate simply because they can claim they've done so.
