  • Very ironic. It gets even more ironic when you realize that the whole mess in the Middle East is British fault in the first place. If they'd not go there and stirr up the region with colonial politics, treating arabs (just like Indu people) like some kind of lower grade folk (volk?) and then would not place Jews in such prepared enviroment, there could be peace there today. So great job showing that, I'm waiting for more.

  • Yes YouTube, please block this "drummer badass" troll from spreading frankly shit(ly) written hate spew. (sigh)

  • I'm jewish and I find this hilarious.

  • LOL

  • U HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE JEWS HAVE BEEN DOING TO THE POOR PALESTINIANS U PEA HEADED CHIMP! I am ashamed to be british when i see this!

  • @jamie1986griffiths one, he isnt british, he's australian, and two, it's true and fucking funny so calm down

  • @jamie1986griffiths if you were truely british you would laugh and mock and then come over all mildly pessimistic about it. Why you so fussed about it?

  • I lol'd cuz it's true

  • AHW YEAH, ROCK!!!

  • @TheALFChef אנגלית*?

  • I love Tim minchin but he did not write this song. I first heard it by a drag act in 2006

  • @ladwithdodgyusername there's another video of tim playing this song in 2006. Maybe there's a connection? Maybe the act was based on him? I hope so. If not, I can definitely still appreciate his talent :)

  • Tim you are the most awesome witty bastard ever.

  • i love the "pigs" in the middle of each piano interlude

  • it's not funny !!!!! people are killed there everyday -_-

  • @mellyamel

He's mocking the fact that they fight over such stupid and petty causes like religious beliefs.

    It's social satire.

  • @GenericPlaque it's not abou religion.... it;s abou existing

  • I am also for peace. There is already reconciliation work between arab christians and mesianic (christian) jews. Definite peace will come when Jesus comes back.

  • @tazpi - Wouldn't it be better for people to work towards peace rather than wait for the remote chance that the bible is true & Jesus will return?

  • @mddawson1 Well basically I believe that Jesus WILL come back and I believe that the intention of mankind to make peace especially in the middle east although is wellmeant will bring us to use a euphenisme a lot of problems. And even without believing in Jesus even an atheist should understand if we look the last 6000 years men can't make peace.

  • @tazpi - Meaning humans were peaceful in the previous 189000 years? What we want is for people to think logically - which is better, live in peace with your neighbours or fight with them?

  • @mddawson1 Well it's not the place to discuss that I don't believe in the evolution theory. But I want to say that of course there are people who wants peace and are nice people for human standards. But for God's standar I think nobody can say that he has never stolen or lied. And I don't think that mankind can ever make real peace here on earth.

  • @tazpi - Which God? That is the issue because your god is incompatible with others god/s. Even if you could provide definitive proof that a god existed then there is still the question "Does he/she deserve our worship?" Based on all the religious texts I seriously doubt it.

  • @mddawson1 The creator of heaven and earth, of mankind of all the nature. Your human father doesn't deserve that you love him, does he?

  • @tazpi - Google 'scientists create universe', maybe God is actually a Dr Sheldon Cooper residing in another universe,

  • @tazpi - Yes parents do deserve that you love them but if your father acted as god does in the Bible then he should be jailed for abuse. Do you think that Joseph Fritzl's daughter should love him???

  • @mddawson1 Maybe we don't agree in this issue, but Australia is a great country!

  • I like the logic of this song. Thank you for your music.

  • Dude can jam. 0_0

  • 32 people eat pigs.

  • @franksui

Of course we eat pigs, bacon is the god of food!

  • @SuperSmashyfication I meant 32 people who "disliked" the video. lol

I'm not Jewish or Muslim. I eat pigs too. :)

  • Fantastic and btw my sis has a keyboard and she can do this really good and she is really fast! <3

  • He Is sssoooooooooooooooo good It's not fair!

  • who want to be the leader of the idiots? ME !!

  • damn you israel !

  • urgh he needs to die.

  • @danielpoole1234 No, no, no you have this all wrong. YOU need to die.

  • @danielpoole1234 and YOU are exactly the kind of person this song is aimed at. your probably some religious, homophobic, ignorant idiot that refuses to listen to anything that makes sense. if you want to spread your closed-minded comments somewhere, this is not the place to do it. go look up israel and do some research before sharing your ignorant thoughts.

  • @BigBadNightWolf What's wrong with heterosexuals?

  • @tazpi i diddnt refer to heterosexuals. i have no problems with them. i have problems with homophobes.

  • @BigBadNightWolf What's wrong if somebody quotes the scriptures who says that homosexuality is a sin?

  • @tazpi oh for fuck's sake. stop looking for a fight. its pathetic. its wrong to judge or condemn a person because of their sexual preferance. its disgusting to refuse them of the right to marry. it makes me sick that people can walk down the street and spit at my friends and not get the same sentence as i would if i called someone a nigger. (im not racist im using examples) it pisses me off that you can judge a person and call them what ever the hell you want and blame your beliefs. grow up.

  • @BigBadNightWolf I don't judge or condem homosexuals; God does it. I have nothing against homosexuals I have something against homosexuality.

  • @tazpi if you have a problem with the isue, you have a problem with the people. what do you find so threatening about two people in love?

genetalia is just gods way of accessorising.

quoted from somewhere... i cant remember.

  • @BigBadNightWolf What do you read in the bible about homosexuality?

  • @tazpi sodomy is a sin. how clearer could you get? masturbation is also a sin. when was the last time you jacked off? dont tell me your a perfect follower

  • @BigBadNightWolf A long time ago. Before I've become a believer I was a sex addict but Jesus set me free. Of course sometimes I have fallback. But then I stand up and ask for forgiveness and the strenght do not do it again.

  • @tazpi oh god. thats not even what i asked. i dont care about your addictions. we were talking about homophobia.

  • @BigBadNightWolf Yes that was what you have asked me. You asked me if have never jacked off? And I agree that I am sinner who have found grace who sometimes have a fallback. We are all sinner: a woman who dies with 90 as a virgin, a man who has sex with his girlfried without being married, a fagot, a pedophil. We have to convert to Jesus and change our lives. And of course there will be fallbacks.

  • @tazpi you speak like religion is the most peaceful tihing on the planet. no religion has EVER been peaceful, or forgiving, or accepting or even lets a person be themself. there are always rules that restric who you are. i dont want to beleive in anything that wont let me be myself ((within reason. no murder, pedophilia etc...)

  • @BigBadNightWolf I am not speaking about religion, I am speaking about Jesus the son of God, about his words (old and new testament) and I am speaking about having forginess through Jesus and following him.

  • @tazpi ohh and suddenly jesus has nothing to do with religion? what you said just then is what religion is based on. believing that you can do what you like and not feel guilty because your imaginary friend will forgive you.

  • @BigBadNightWolf Jesus is the absolute thruth who revealed us how to come to heaven. Relgions are the invention of men who wants to go to heaven on their one terms.

  • @tazpi re·li·gion/riˈlijən/Noun

    1. The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, esp. a personal God or gods.

    2. Details of belief as taught or discussed.

try to know what your talking about before arguing on the subject

  • @BigBadNightWolf My definition about religion is of course not the offcial definition but the definition of newborns.

  • @tazpi new·born/ˈn(y)o͞oˌbôrn/

Adjective: (of a child or animal) Recently or just born.

Noun: A recently born child or animal

    what. the. fuck.

  • @BigBadNightWolf John 3:5: Unless somebody is born of water and the spirit he can't enter the kindom of God.

    Homesexuality = sin and sickness.

  • @tazpi right. so god gives us fredom!! (to live as he tells us to or we go burn in hell)

yeah. this sounds like someone i want to respect. this guy is a sadist.

  • @BigBadNightWolf Well God give us rules because we ourselves don't know what is good for us. When you don't give rules to a child he will eat the whole day chocolate and play withe the playstation the whole night.

  • @tazpi so im not mature enough to make decisions on my own? being in love with someone is wrong. and i should suffer an eternity for being with somone i care about.

when kids play up here they get sent to their room. we dont set them on fire and watch them burn.

  • @BigBadNightWolf But God warns you, you can still change your life.

  • @tazpi ohhh so he can count to three first. i can just imagine.

"ONE.... TWO.... DO IT NOW OR ILL MAKE YOU SUFFER IN THE PITS OF HELL!!! DO YOU WANT TO BE SET ON FIRE????........ THATS IT! THREE!!!!"

sounds like a real nice guy.

  • @tazpi

Your God isn't instituting rational rules like "Don't eat chocolate all day or stay up all night, because you'll feel sick the next day." He's making up ridiculous bullshit like "If two men fuck each other, kill them." and "If someone works on a sunday, kill them." or "If someone tells you to worship a god other than myself, kill them." Even if your God is real, he's more monstrous than any human being who ever lived, and deserves no worship or respect. What he would deserve is contempt.

  • @gguilford72 The death penalties for that was before the coming of Christ. As christians we shoulden't kill homosexuals. God loves homosexuals but if they contiue fuck each other in the ases the will got to hell. Jesus want's to give to everybody a second chance. Like he has done it with me.

  • @tazpi

Oh, my bad. God doesn't want us to kill gays. He wants to personally set them on fire forever. Like I said he deserves contempt, because he is a pathetic child who cannot separate his own emotions from actual morality. Good thing he's fictional, or we'd all be getting fucked in the ass by him.

  • @gguilford72 THANKYOU!!! someone who knows what they're talking about :)

  • @gguilford72 Everyone who doesn't repent and convert to Christ comes to hell. You can't judge God God will eventualy judge you.

  • @tazpi

Oh, my. You say that when I die, my soul, which doesn't exist, will be sent, by God, who doesn't exist, to hell, which doesn't exist. How incredibly frightening. If your God does do this, he is evil. Good people do not torture people for not loving them.

  • @gguilford72 "The fool says in his heart: There is no God" quotation from the bible.

  • @tazpi

You don't really understand the bit about me not believing that the bible is true, do you?

  • @gguilford72 love your argument

the bible is a great work of tales that are false

  • @gguilford72 That's your problem.

  • @tazpi

I love that I've reduced you to uselessly proclaiming your own correctness with absolutely no logical backing.

  • @gguilford72 The logical backing is that: you can lead a horse to the water, but if the horse doesn't want to drink......

  • @tazpi

There's no water. You've led the horse to a dried up lake bed and commanded it to drink.

  • LOL he should come here to Israel and sing it, we'll love you :)

    (just don't bring any pigs)

  • @JoanOfArc10 Pork is delicious, they can smear themselves in shit for all I care, pigs make great food. I'm more of a chicken guy, though. But I'm not black. Ah, another controversial day.

  • @OnkelStein Dude, you sound black as night, take it from a black guy lmao

  • @Koncreteis Haha, I'll take that as a compliment !

  • love how he says pigs in the middle of him playing the piano like how musicians say yeah haha

  • All religion sucks. No religion ever has always been peaceful. Ever. They all preach peace love and harmony.. but only to those like yourself, they needn't ALWAYS look the same, but they sure as hell better act like you and believe what you believe.

  • Tim Minchin for president

  • Tim Minchin for president :)

  • gonna see him in june-so siked

  • 3:39 "oh yeah, ROCK!"

  • I live in Jerusalem. Come on over here and sing. Please!

  • The funny thing is that he´s not even wrong. For all the sane people watching religious arguments and conflicts it is always silly because in their absurdity they have much more in common with each other than with the rest of mankind. At least us who live in 2011.

Tim of course is brilliant and insanely funny being an atheist!

  • I want to not eat pigs with the jews :D

  • @LastOfTheWilds920 So the peace anthem had no affect on you whatsoever? Shame, I was quite convinced by it. I want to not eat pigs with you...

  • the melody is beautiful and i like his voice a lot too

  • 3:55 EAH!

  • ...i miss sideshow... damn you good news week! DAMN YOU!

  • He's a fucking machine on the piano.

  • 28 people eat pigs :'(

  • I just want to say, this song is quite catchy and my friend and I having been singing it quite a lot lately. xD

  • Man! The start of the song sounded so melancholic. And the rest of it just made my day:)

  • good thing i dont like eating pigs... like apple sauce tho :P

  • actually it was never about religion, the palestinian/israeli conflict it's always been about the land , and palestinians arent all muslims there's alot fo christian palestinians as well since jesus was born in palestine , we do not hate jew people , we just hate that there's taking over our homeland , palestine will always be for palestinians there's no doubt in that

  • HAH! Brilliant!

Though, I warn you in my opinion, the resolution to this feud is to restore soldiers' honor by letting them slaughter each other to bits. There would be nothing more fulfilling than to look your enemy in the face and kill him than to tiptoe about and dishonorably stab him in the back. After war comes peace; peace is only a side effect to battle.

  • That little squeak at the end just made my day :)

  • funniest damn video ever!!!

  • This isn't about war, it's comedy.

First time I saw him do this I laughed so hard. I was expecting something really serious.

  • 25dislikes want to let the terrorists win....

  • we watched this in assembly for peace day

  • @Grunt121andtzm

agreed. I think the lyrics and chords of Tim Minchin could solve any war

  • LOL JITENNNNNN?

  • KRISHNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • Genius.

  • STOP TALKING ABOUT RELIGION! D: enjoy the damn comic amusement in the song, for pete sakes! (Didnt say god then, because that would SURELY start another religous war!)

  • come on everyone.. how about a halal kosher buffet??? ; )

  • @007badboy88 :Exactly! That's the point of the song; that both sides could break bread together!

  • mddawson1:thank you for uploading this, Tim Minchin is a comedic genius and what musical chops this guys has!leave out the politics peeps, it's about the music like Rhondda and others said below.

  • great song

  • & furthermore...what a comedic genius Mr. Minchin is to take such a serious & divisive subject & create a song with such a light touch...many musicians would be wise to emulate his example & lighten up, already!

  • What chops this guy has; his piano playing is exquisite...but to the Palestine-Jewish question:I'd posit the opposite of love is not hate but disinterest and it's squalid cousins:apathy and ignorance. To hate is to have one's emotions involved because both sides do not feel respected and/or honored in their respective viewpoints. That's the issue that truly needs to be addressed.

  • @rhonddanunes :yes respect is everything in this. Sometimes you hear two sides talking about how much they 'hate' the other side like President "I'manutjob" in Tehran about Zionists & you think, just get married already, we know you wanna they way you go on & on about it.

  • ...pigs...

    what a genius!

  • Oh Tim you go you cool freaky guy with rockstar hair

  • i love how he bashes the bass at the end

  • Paul's hair looks particularly short and spikey in this episode. I like it! <3

I don't eat pigs.... I only eat chicken.

  • In all fairness there are enough religions stating if you dont believe in them then you go to that religions version of hell therefore no matter what you do your going to hell think it through. ;)

    AHHHH the piano :D

  • not to be off the subject at all but i was so proud of myself today cause i got the sheet music and played it through on the piano. gosh...it was fun to sing along!

  • "Busking on the Gaza strip" outstanding!

  • Some of you may think it's insensitive but I think it highlights perfectly the absurdity of fighting over land based on religious boundaries. How hard is it to coexist?

  • it made me laugh.the palestinian conflict is not basicaly religeous.it is also economicalsurvival.jews live 20 times better than any palestinian, they live better on the land that was called palestine since thousands of years.most palestinians are without stability or future asurances, they cant be what they want to be because of ocupation, security, poverty and political corruption like arabic leaders.you cant talk of peace without solving the tatality s consequence of ocupation, refugees r 3.5mlion

  • What are you trying to say about palestinian people!

  • What's all this religious arguing crap? Just appreciate the song.

  • we dont eat pig you dont eat pig its seems like its been that way forever. so if we dont eat pig and you dont eat why not not eat pig together

  • You're right, fuckin idiots... Leave it out..

  • Hang on, just listen to the music , this man is stupidly funny and you're sat here arguing about religions get a grip, you weirdos

  • It is not wrong from both sides, only from one side. Learn the history! Read about al nakba 1948 and so on! People who don't know the history of the conflict are just blaming one another. ^^

  • @OtokeOtoke right.the usa,gb media are pro israelis because of jewish control and money, hollywood is owned by jews.the american public are totaly asleep, they only think of money, beautiful girls and good cars, politics nd geography dont interest them.unless they feel threatened they dont react on politics.so it is very easy to govern a nation with such ignorance.their ignorance is our cross

  • @dreamer4all Not many people are aware of the truth about Palestine. It's because of the strong advertisement. The history of Palestine is unfortunately being removed from the books. More than 500 palestinian villages were removed from the world map. What right gives the world to change the history?

  • @OtokeOtoke one of the aims of imperialism is rewriting history as they want. we have to take care about that. the neo goebelism is very efective, they can even change us who are aware of that

  • @dreamer4all Yes, that's really crazy. They make it look like it's the truth. If something happens, they can report it on their own way, because they're controlling the media.

  • @OtokeOtoke let s try to make this world a better place.im exagerating but we who live outside palestine suffer much less than those who live there specially in gaza now. we have a better chance to let people see the truth about it. you know im not a moslim and i saw ur channel you seem to be a practicing moslim. for me it is not a matter of religion but home town and justice.salam

  • @dreamer4all Yes, that's true. I respect all religions that believe in God. I don't judge people because of their religion. Also, as a muslim, I have to respect the people of the book. Unfortunately, the sionists don't respect muslims and christians. It makes me sad, when the media talks bad about islam. It's a part of their propaganda I guess. In europe now, islamofobia is growing. And what they say about islam is not even true. I support peace and I know that palestine will be free someday.

  • @OtokeOtoke We understand that most Muslims are regular everyday people who want to live their lives in peace. But at the moment there are radical Muslims who are killing anyone who disagrees with their world view, even other Muslims. Speaking about respect, I am an atheist - I do not believe in gods. For that I could be executed in many Islamic countries. Where is the respect of an individuals beliefs?

  • @mddawson1 There is a good sura about religions in the Quran. It's says that you're religion is yours and my religion is mine. If you believe in nothing, than that's you're choise. The "radical muslims" you are talkning about, who are they?

  • @OtokeOtoke I have a question for you, do you believe in Thor, Zeus & Horus? I am guessing you don't which makes you an atheist to those gods. I just take it one god further. Atheists don't "believe in nothing", we are just like you - we love our families, care about our country, follow sporting teams, etc. Not bowing down to an imaginary friend gives us more time to do these important things. The radical muslims are those who commited 11000 terroist acts killing 15700 people - Al-Qa’ida, etc.

  • @mddawson1 Do you think al-Qai'da did according to islam? No, they didn't. You don't need to be a scholar to know that. According to what I've studied at school, an atheist is someone who don't believe in God. Yes, I know Zeus, who is a greek god. I know Thor, who is a god worshipped by the people in the Nordic Countries. Of course, a long time ago. Honestly, I don't know who Horus is. We studied about these at school and it was actually very interesting to learn what people worshipped before.

  • @OtokeOtoke - al-Qai'da are using Islam as there excuse for their acts, it would be nice to hear moderate Muslims around the world denounce their actions. Unfortunately al-Qai'da & other groups like them have a double negative affect on the Islamic world by creating fear & hatred of all Muslims & many Muslim deaths. Much of the terrorist acts have hurt & killed fellow Muslims. BTW Horus is an ancient Egyptian god.

  • @mddawson1 The thing is that the media doesn't want Islam to look good. Even my classmates didn't have a clue about real face of Islam. Some time ago, I wrote an article about islam. I only got negative comments. They didn't seem to know what Islam was about. There is always someone who refer Islam to terrorism.

  • @OtokeOtoke - I think the biggest fear of the average person in western countries is the intolerance of personal freedoms found in Islamic nations - we don't want to lose any of our freedoms. It took centuries to seperate church from state to achive this so we don't want sharia law, etc. Some Muslims in England & Australia want sharia law introduced. For some reason the laws of these countries are not good enough for them, perhaps its is because they don't pander to religions?

  • @mddawson1 Yes,but those who want sharia as national laws are a minority. We all know that sharia laws in europe won't work, because we don't live in a homogen society. This is what then "media" want, it want to fear the people in the world and develope islamofobia. We know that the media is controlled or at least some of us know.Sharia isn't all about what you think. It's just a small piece. The reason why the sharia are strict is because we shouldn't do bad things. It's normal to fear the laws.

  • @geoffdoor I am a human being like all other people. Maybe if people recognised that fact then they wouldn't make ignorant racist comments.

  • @mddawson1 definitely a minge bag comment.

  • @the6thmonkey :Are you a racist slug? Not even gonna dignify that remark by calling you a pig.

  • @mddawson1 Oh yes they would, they'd just find something other than race to rip on.

  • @OtokeOtoke no, but its totalitaire.

  • @OtokeOtoke oh for fooks sake ...you have no sense of humour, I was christened and can still laugh about loads and loads of jokes poured on the Christians, this is comedy...if you have no sense of humour ...don't bloody watch it and by the way..I changed my religion to Wiccan a long time ago so am protected from nuts like you;) xx mwahhhh x

  • @OtokeOtoke It's not that I am against the Islam as much as against boring people like you who try to explain it. Just like I'm not anti-burquas as much as anti-clothing on women in general. Who cares, it's still religion. People who are not into it will not suddenly start believing in some kind of flying spaghetti monster just because of anything you have to say.

  • @Bruinsma1987 Seriously, this subject is quiet old now, let's just end it. :)

  • @OtokeOtoke and steven gerrard plays for liverpool - whats your point HIMEY...

  • @mddawson1- You are very good. I thank you for uploading, and applaud you for standing up for yourself. All these people who say we're insensitive need to understand that people are looking purely at the difference, not the similarities like TIm does.

  • fuck politics its all about the piano

  • Not only a funny text, the piano piece is also brilliant!

  • did you guys watch the video?

  • nice
