@SoundOut260 In my opinion the nite ize inserts are rubbish - sorry but i think they are. The difference between the TLE-5EX and the TLE-20 is essentially power. The 5EX produces 140 lumens in an aa maglite with a runtime of about 6 to 6 hours. The TLE-20 only produces 36 lumens (but with a 15 hour runtime!). The other main difference is that the TLE-20 will also work in a 2 aaa solitaire (but with lower output and runtimes!). Hope that helps mate!
@tigreslokos Yes definitely boosts output and runtime. It is noticeable. Not quite as good as the manufacturer may claim but a huge improvement on the original bulb. Hope that help.
@tigreslokos Its a definite upgrade for a aaa maglite however, for the same price as this drop in, you can probably get a decent flashlight! Glad to be able to help. I have still got my upgraded maglite - its been working for 3 years and i still think maglites look cool lol!
@Alloutdoor1 haha I totally agree, I bought the mini mag aaa because its good looks and functionality lol.. but i found the TLE 20 for 10 bucks on eBay + S&H, i'm gonna buy it and see how it does! thanks for everything man, really apreciate it! (= cheers
@arabianights The drop in will work in a solitaire but you wont be able to use it with the lens. Not very practical but it does work. Thanks for the comment.
Allright mate do you know if this upgrade is the BEST one to get theres so many on the market it gets confusing sometimes

nice video! i just upgraded my mini maglite AA with TerraLUX TLE-5EX LED rated for 100 lumens, very neat.
one question though: are you sure this TLE-20 works in solitaire as well? i've been looking to upgrade my solitaire as well.
thanks
