  • As a Utd fan growing up, I always think no one can beat Ferguson... Then i saw some documentaries of his Derby County and Nottingham Forest's days... That blew me away... Never in my mind clubs in Division Two went straight to promotion and the instantly won the Division One... Forest's case is way more astonishing, winning the European Cup... 4 or 5 years earlier they were fighting for survival in the 2nd Division and now European kings...

I dun care who the fuck you support, Cloughie the best.

  • Well put together. Thanks!

  • common as muck

  • 2:45 - 2:55 an absolute classic! LOL!!!

  • Such happy times with Derby. RIP BC.

  • the FA has always been a load of shit and UEFA they always go by what the ref does even when both clubs involved in the match disagrees with the ref it s a joke

  • Did Brian live to see Nigel get the manager's job at Derby?

  • @WatchVenusSpa no, he died a few years before...

  • 5 - 2

  • 5 - 2

  • 6.10 and Derby C. scores against Leeds in a title decider and Jackie Charlton goes crazy with his keeper Madeley.

  • @barbarian981

the keeper was gary sprake in 1972.

  • Hello friends from England, this was a great of your football, one of the largest in the world.

He brought an average club like Derby to win the second division title and more ...

    Unique character.

In Italy a man has done more or less a thing, the great Tommaso Maestrelli, I invite you to know his history.

    Forza Lazio.

  • what is the song at 4.00 pls

  • @killerf2006 it's Slade with "Gudbye To Jane"

  • God, what we've lost in football. When you look round at the top people in football management today, with the odd honourable exception, they're all a bunch of tossers.

Perhaps Cloughie, along with Bobby Robson, was the last of the peoples' managers. Men who actually knew what it was to actually work for a living before you started in football. Men who could handle young players, who had a sense of humour and a sense of social responsibility.

Oh Brian, how we miss you.

  • read the info bar: "Brian Clough and Peter Taylor made their name at Derby County between 1967 and 1973, before going on to manage other lesser clubs with varying degrees of success."

    Too true

  • brain clough died in october 2004 not september.

  • THE KING

  • greatist man that lived

  • "Other lesser clubs" - he managed Leeds also (unfortunately) you bafoon.

  • @LUFC1965to1975

Hence why he said "lesser" clubs

  • @mofi500 Your attempt at humour is poor.

  • It's not only his inimitable management skills. He could also play the game at the highest level.

  • michel sheen did a great job on the dammed united he sounds just like clough..

  • ''how do you react when one of your players say you are wrong...'' ''i ask how he thinks it should be done, we get down to it and then we talk for twenty minutes and then we decide i was right''

  • Thanks for posting this. Nothing need be added, its all there. All good wishes to Nigel he will surely be his own man.

  • Longson should have been publically lynched for what he did to Derby...the masonic vermin who run Derby should all f off to planet saturn!

  • Clough rules but those SOCKS were a bloody disgrace!

  • What a nice video, never seen the clip before where he and Peter Taylor are interviewed by Hugh Johns out on the pitch. Quiet ironic that despite what he said, he never did manage to sort things out with Sam Longson.

  • THE LEGEND, miss you Mr Clough

  • Only the idiots at the FA could not see he was the best England manager they never had.

  • @jnmklo9 the reason they never signed him was because he told people what he thought of them and the fa were scared of what he would say

  • @jnmklo9 Winning or fair play means nothing to the FA. It's all money just like everything else in life now

  • @jnmklo9 that cos they were scared he'd change the FA... and rightly so...

  • The Greatest - all the best to the next Cloughie in the same office =))

  • The Greatest!

  • The best manager of all time.

  • @Marius12Black...The same era..1967 upwards...The Great Jock Stien.

  • @johnnybhoy2259 Both were very good managers but Cloughie had something that any other manager never had...

  • The best.

  • Better than all the rest.
