As a Utd fan growing up, I always think no one can beat Ferguson... Then i saw some documentaries of his Derby County and Nottingham Forest's days... That blew me away... Never in my mind clubs in Division Two went straight to promotion and the instantly won the Division One... Forest's case is way more astonishing, winning the European Cup... 4 or 5 years earlier they were fighting for survival in the 2nd Division and now European kings...
I dun care who the fuck you support, Cloughie the best.
the FA has always been a load of shit and UEFA they always go by what the ref does even when both clubs involved in the match disagrees with the ref it s a joke

God, what we've lost in football. When you look round at the top people in football management today, with the odd honourable exception, they're all a bunch of tossers.
Perhaps Cloughie, along with Bobby Robson, was the last of the peoples' managers. Men who actually knew what it was to actually work for a living before you started in football. Men who could handle young players, who had a sense of humour and a sense of social responsibility.
read the info bar: "Brian Clough and Peter Taylor made their name at Derby County between 1967 and 1973, before going on to manage other lesser clubs with varying degrees of success."
''how do you react when one of your players say you are wrong...'' ''i ask how he thinks it should be done, we get down to it and then we talk for twenty minutes and then we decide i was right''
What a nice video, never seen the clip before where he and Peter Taylor are interviewed by Hugh Johns out on the pitch. Quiet ironic that despite what he said, he never did manage to sort things out with Sam Longson.

Hello friends from England, this was a great of your football, one of the largest in the world.
He brought an average club like Derby to win the second division title and more ...
Unique character.
In Italy a man has done more or less a thing, the great Tommaso Maestrelli, I invite you to know his history.
Forza Lazio.

Only the idiots at the FA could not see he was the best England manager they never had.
jnmklo9 2 years ago 36
@jnmklo9 the reason they never signed him was because he told people what he thought of them and the fa were scared of what he would say
binladen668 1 year ago
@jnmklo9 Winning or fair play means nothing to the FA. It's all money just like everything else in life now
HoosierMF 1 year ago
@jnmklo9 that cos they were scared he'd change the FA... and rightly so...
