  • Good cover. Using a marshall for beatles though.... is a big NO NO haha.

  • wow thanks for showing me how to play this I been loving this song for years I love youtube!!

  • the beatles is a very happy band to play in theU.S

  • this nice becausei love the beatles

  • Here you are again - you seem to play everything. This song was my inspiration to learn guitar - i couldnt get enough of it so i thought ill just have to learn to play what i like myself. Ook me a long time to get to this song though.

  • Hey. I just noticed this guy is wearing an ultracool Zeppelin In through the out Door style shirt! I WANT ONE!

  • I love this. I think the Gretsch sounds fine. And the distortion works for me. Why do people need to digitally copy a song to make it authentic. Isn't it possible the Beatles played with some gain or overdrive, especially live. Wouldn't that make it rock. Some people cannot think for themselves. Thank you, nice work.

  • Not bad dude, not bad at all.

  • yeah, gretsch, what the hell were you thinking...hahahaha... thanks to you, I'm playing it on a 57 Levin arch top acoustic now. Hope no puritanical music fanatics hear me ! Thanks for the free lesson. Gretsch sounds just fine mate. Poor souls spent all their money on the Rickenbacker, and couldn't afford the 80 ft flag to tell the world they have one........so they track down people playing Beatles songs without one and criticise. The fact I can't afford a 60's strat means no Hendrix for me Haha

  • dude that sounds badass dude really hard-rockish

  • wheres the Rick 325 like Lennon's? XD

  • @gretsch player in the video: The Gretsch is fine, as that's what Harrison used quite a bit. But, it should have a clean sound as well, as George usually had, WITHOUT any Marshall amp, or other distortion effects, not appropriate for the tune. Thanks.

  • DUDE - WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING PLAYING THAT ON A GRETSCH ? SERIOUSLY - GET REAL- YOU KNOW -- "YOU CAN'T DO THAT" GET YOURSELF A RICKENBACKER.

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES I know. It's a glaring hole in the collection.

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES I say the Gretsch is A-OK, as Harrison used one, of course complimented with John's Rickenbacker. The problem I noticed in the video, is that the player has some type of distortion or "fuzz tone" effect on. The chords should be clean and sharp. No distortion needed for You Can't Do That. 5/14/2011

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES Not to mention he's using a Marshall. Need a Vox for early Beatles. Accept no substitutes. The Gretsch wouldn't sound too far off if played thru the Vox. It's the Marshall that's killing this.

  • @RubHerSoul1 That's true.

  • @RubHerSoul1 - LOOK MY FRIEND - YOU AND I BOTH KNOW THAT SACRILEGE HAS BEEN COMMITED HERE. THE PROBLEM IS IT'S A LITTLE TOO LATE TO CORRECT IT. LET'S JUST HOPE & PRAY THAT IN THE FUTURE THIS INDIVIDUAL WILL SEE THE EVIL OF HE WAYS AND NOT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN.

  • @RubHerSoul1 what?! i think it sounds great.

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES

    dude stfu...it sounds good.......vox blows....Marshall rules....

  • @Saintwalker31 - CLOWN - IT'S A JOKE. A PLAY ON WORDS. TO EXPLAIN IT TO SOMEONE SO SIMPLE MINDED AS YOURSELF. THE WORDS ARE " YOU CAN'T DO THAT". I BET MONEY YOU STILL DON'T GET IT DO YOU?

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES I love people criticizing this guy for not owning expensive instruments and equipment to play this song on, but no one mentions that he's doing all down strums during the rhythm parts. Also, you may want to lay off the caps lock.

  • @NoahALanger - GOOD! THEN YOU'LL LOVE ME. I PURPOSELY LEAVE THE CAPS ON TO TROLL FOR ROAD RAGERS. (MENTALLY UNSTABLE PEOPLE WHO GO OFF OVER TRIVAL THINGS) I.E. LARGE LETTERS VS. SMALL. ( THAT BE YOU ). MY COMMENT WASN'T MEANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. IT WAS A PLAY ON WORDS JOKE. THOSE WORDS IN PARENTHESES " YOU CANT DO THAT " OH ! AND BEFORE I FORGET. DID I MENTION HE'S DOING ALL DOWN STRUMS ON THE RYTHM PARTS ?

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES i bet you don't have a rickenbacker dude? I bet you don't

  • @newamanece - 360-12-V64 AND 360 - SIX STRING. BOTH IN FIREGLOW. EAT YOUR HEART OUT DUDE!

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES show me one of your videos to prove it

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES I doubt it, show me some videos pal, see if it's true :P

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES a video where you are playing like a real musician, I wanna see that, with your phony 360-12-V64 AND 360

  • @newamanece -COMING TO A YOU-TUBE CHANNEL NEAR YOU SOON ! WHAT SONG WOULD YOU LIKE TO HEAR ? HINT - MUST BE THE BEATLES. MAY I SUGGEST " I DIG A PHONY" ? BET YOU'D ENJOY THAT ONE !

  • what a lot of you guys are missing is the 9th in the d7 turn around. it really adds the right dimension.

  • @fanzappa Yes sir! Those type of chording and other details are what separate the pros from the amateurs. For example on 8 days a week, there's a quick last second A7(which most of the cover version players on yt leave out) where the words are: "not enough to show I care", the A7 is used on the word care, ending that segment just before it goes back to the regular verse. And, there are those tricky, what I call "Beatle chords", which Harrison practically invented, which make a BIG differerence

  • respects to you my man- fantastic.
