pantera is NOT thrash. pantera is groove metal. always was, always has been. except with like the terry glaze days, when they were glam metal. but from pretty much everything after the album powermetal, they were groove metal. even on cowboys. listen to clash with reality. thats groove. and there is not argument with vulgar, fbd, trendkill, or reinventing. its all groove. and there are no shitty solos in pantera. dime is the greatest. and groove is far beyond powerchords.

yeah walk is fairly simple, not much talent until the solo. and that does take a lot of talent to pull off.. which fall out boy doesnt even attempt, but aside form the fact that i think fall out boy sucks cock, the solo in the song walk is really complex. he does shit in that solo that people never did before. like false echoes. and improved scales and he randomly switched to A in the middle of the solo and still made it sound sick. and you said i wasnt a normal person cause i listen to pantera.

yeah some of his shit with mr big and racer x is pretty complex. but even paul gilbert got pretty limited at times. cause he used basically all of the same stuff. like at the end of technical difficulties. thats crazy, but its just the roots of everything he plays. dime had so many different styles put together. like the 10s solo, the hard lines and sunken cheeks solo, the domination solo, the goddamn electric solo, they all had different roots. 10s isnt fast, but it has so much emotion in it.

thats true, but all of his solos, fast or slow, were all based around the same scales. hes a very technical guitarist. dimebag never took a lesson in his life. he gave lessons though. but never took em. he played some major and some minor, but most of them he improvised. true talent. and yeah just like this dime4life1666 brotha is saying, dime was brought up with blues roots. that opened so many doors to what he could do. thats where most of the emotion in his playing came from.
