Anyone who wants to know what happens next should know that after Ballet Shoes Noel Streatfield wrote a couple of indirect sequels to this book, 'Theatre Shoes' origianaly 'Curtain Up' and Movie Shoes origianaly 'The Painted Garden'.

In fact all of there dreams do come true.

WHAAAT????NO!!!!!!! posy was an incredible dancer, and pauline was an incredible actor. and they just give up their dreams? NO! that isnt fair. petrova wasnt nearly as driven as the other two, and yet she was the only one with a happy ending.

and yet in the end they show them ALL happy. well, they shouldnt all be happy. 2 of them have just had their dreams crushed.

this ending ruined an otherwise brilliant movie.

Books way better :) In the books Winfred isnt a snobby brat, she is poorer than the fossils too, she does say pauline looks right for everything but she didnxt say it snobbily and she did have a point in the film anyway!!

Even Emma said it herself, Twilight sells sex. I don't beleive her acting is as good or genuine because Emma has literally been raised in the spotlight and I have grown up with her. Just my opinion but still it counts as a good one I think :) amazing movie btw, bad ending though.

I liked the movie but I hated how Posy was portrayed. I mean she basically learned no leasons for acting like a spoiled brat after her teacher dyed and then no leasons about running away...instead Pauline decides to take the movie deal even though she doesn't really want it all so that her ungratful sister can go and learn ballet. I like the books take on all them much better.
