Hmmm....apparently they never read the Exodus account. The people built a molten calf, which is a Pagan ritual. They tried to change what it was by naming it a festival to God!! Was God pleased? The enemy wants to be 'like Christ' so surely if we lift Christs' name on High and sybolise His death and resurrection with breaking of bread and sipping of wine then alternatively we inadvertantly lift the enemy's name on high and celebrate the enemy with symbolisms of his pagan festivals. If God wanted us to celebrate the birth, death, and resurrection then He would 've said so in His Word like He did with Israel for the Passover and the other day's He commanded to celebrate. With that being said, then these day's that have nothing to do with Christianity should've never been started. They were started for the converting pagan's shortly after the time of Constantine, because they clutched to ther false religion. Also none of these day's coincide with the actual events.

Its sad to me being Christian to learn of all these things when my whole life i have honored these days for the fact that i thought i was honoring Christ ... not Pagans.. So now that i know myself or myfamily will no longer be celebrating these holidays, although it will be difficult to let them go

I used to be pagan and it was really NOT a witness to me for christians to "christianize" pagan holidays. It was confusing and I would have left christianity if I didn't personally know Jesus as my Lord and Savior and gotten born again. How can you expect to convert pagans when it sends such a mixed message. Adopting pagan practices was forbidden in bible. Paul creatively reached the pagans by explaining their unnamed god was THE God, didn't need to compromise the truth to be "seeker friendly"
