Hi Paul, This is a big movement in the vegan peoples of today. I am not at all against being a vegan but I am against people making it a religion and saying that they follow the Bible and Yeshua and saying that the Bible teaches that we should not eat meat (it doesn't). This book is the cause along with Gospel of Peace. The main way to spot a phony is to compare it to Torah which is the standard and Rock that will stand the test of time. Eating healthy is great, I support it fully.

@peacewalker7 Torah is the light through Yeshua the Messiah. Not Christianity but the original faith it is peace, justice and mercy. There are a lot of books that have things that seem sensible but only one see us for who we are sinners in need of a Savior. It is good to ask questions and seek truth and when we are honest we see that we are flawed and have a propensity for sin.
"No-one to add or take away". Yes and the Roman Emperor at Nicea et al. And his/their version has become what today is now being described as the Word of God. Know that what has been translated from the Greek is different to the Greek version as is the Hebrew. No, more importantly, that Jesus was Aramaic and was not known to have written anything to be later read. And so what is known about him is what is known mostly by ones who never knew him. Jesus did say, "it is not goes into man that defiles him but what comes out". And so, would it matter then to He if we were to be vegan, vegetarian or carnivorous. Surely being awarded the gift of "free will" we then can choose to ingest whatever we choose to eat without fingers pointing in accusation. At 09:53 he says, "the bible tells us we can't pick and choose". That's exactly what the Roman Emperor Constantine and the Council of Nicea did in 325 A.D. They picked and chose 4 gospel books from the 30 over books written about the Essenes, Jesus, John the Baptist and the Apostles. One of the books they left out was The Gospel of Peace.

@mohanaturo they didn't decide on the books of the 'roman bible' at the council of nicea. they voted on things like: do we portray jesus as deity or human. (deity) do we incorporate aspects of paganism (the cross, easter, xmas) and 2 or 3 other things.
Traits that I've found from experience that people who are so emotionally invested in the Essene Gospel of Peace:
1) they are VERY IGNORANT of the Bible
2) they have a definite anti-scholar, anti-truth, anti-rational "Don't rock my boat with the facts, just let me be stupid--it makes me happy to believe this Essene junk. I know it's not the truth but (insert rationalization here which is only limited by the blind person's imagination.)
Why do religious dudes always feel like they need to grow beards? Anyway, what does diet have to do with religion anyway? If you want to talk about diet, fine, I'm for that, but why this hooey about scripture? @thedurianking Men are supposed to have them? Scripturally? Have you read The Maker's Diet? I just think that the health aspects should stand on their own. Ascribing common sense food intake to a creator (whether or not one actually exists is debatable) rather than one's own experience is somewhat silly. That's just my opinion. We don't know what god, whether there is one or not, said about what to eat. Men (in beards) wrote it. We constantly revise what works and what doesn't. Eat to his own.
@canadianroot Scripture says men should have them but event more important the body says we should have them. Science confirms it's not healthy to shave. The Makers diet is excellent.. In my mind there is no doubt that our Creator exists but you have the right to believe what you want. That's not what this is about. All I have ever seen was you SAYING that beards are healthy, but I have never once heard you explain why from any scriptural or scientific basis. If you can (which I doubt), make a concise video explicitly stating your case and backed with fact, not just rambling and talking to other dudes about their beards.

This man is correct. The only way you can be saved is to accept Jesus as your savior. You can't do works of the flesh to get saved. This man is absolutly correct. Fasting and prayer is good for your soul mostly it can have benefits for your body as well but the main thing is that it makes you a stronger person spiritually. Read the Bible people. In my opinion you can't call yourself a true believer if you do not read the text.

I've been reading this book recently and while I don't know what I believe about it's authenticity, I can say that the the author doesn't claim it to be from the Dead Sea Scrolls. He claims that it was found in the Vatican Library (there are many ancient historical documents tucked away there) and in the Hapsburg Royal Library. The scholar that he was (read his bio), I have no doubt he could have seen these books. Like many of the alleged words of Jesus, they were written a century or two later.

It has been pointed out that all scripture is ultimately gnostic in nature. Even if you accept the bible as Jesus' exact unedited message (unlikely) then you have to admit Jesus was inspired the same as Szekeley. The only thing I fault Szekeley for was that he seems to have lied to make the scriptures sound authentic. On the other hand the Essene Gospel is IMO an amazing book which helps many people. You might be able to attack the author but what about the message?

I did a few up from the books that were amazing, accounts of the trial, things they left out of the bible, unless your not interested ...then what can i say...anyways..tests these books further you may be missing out Paul and I do beleive in these books to have great eye witness accounts from this group Essences..there is nothing wrong with this teachings and guiding people back to Genesis diet

Also, you should study more on the Gnostic principles, you will find that many of the "mysteries" correspond. Another big problem occurs with this text. Jesus Christ becomes just a teacher and not the Son of God, thus changing the trinity. Also the Dead Sea Scrolls do not correspond with this text. Deeper meanings?

The love of Jesus is not a secret, it is in fact the greatest commandment He commissioned His church. There is no plural sons of God. There is only God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Even your book talks of father, mother, son You will notice that God is always meant as a plural even in the Old Testament. Deut 6:4, Gen 1:1-2, John 1: 1,14. Gen 1:26, Gen 3:22, Gal 3:20, Isaiah 6:8

@houseofisraelmusic I eat only the "clean meats" yes. That does not mean that is the only diet discussed in the Bible, one can obtain all required nutrients from a plant based diet. Also when the Bible says "meat" it is referring to food. I am not claiming to know everything there is either. The Bible does give us ways in which we can validate doctrine. I stand on the Word of God when comparing other doctrines or texts, and honestly the Essene book does not pass the test.

When God created Adam and Eve He gave them dominion over the earth, we are stewards of the earth already. What I saw in the books was taking the earth and deifying it. Also the removal of Jesus Christ as the truth the way the life and our only way to salvation was ever present.

God has done nothing in secret, so for me, supposed extra commandments at the time of Moses, written by God's finger, goes against the character of God. I came to the same conclusion about the Essene Gospel of Peace. Those who attempted to follow this books advice to the letter probably suffered some serious health problems.
I understand what you're saying here and I am thankful that you shared this knowledge. Unfortunately, we are all ultimately deserving of eternall hellfire and nothing can change that. Religion is the understanding of the thinker. If you seek truth, then you already know truth. Thanks for sorting this out. I have been buying books on the dead sea scrolls with all the books, but havn't been able to find this gospel in them. And that made me very confuesed. So I bought the Essene Gospel which I'm reading at the moment. It's a nice book when it comes to health as you say and nice philosophy.

There is no difference in accepting the Essene Gospel of Peace as 'literal' and 'true' from accepting the 4 Gospels in the version of the KJV or any other version we have today. The cannonized gospels people consider the 'word of god' today, were pulled and picked and chosen, others eliminated by a group of men that sat around for days and negotiated what would go in. You speak my friend as though you have some authority other than historical facts.
The popular interpretations of the Bible are also made up, just because they were made up a long time ago doesn't make them right. The Apostle Paul, who wrote most of the new testament, cannot be squared with the teaching of Jesus. And the majority of popular Christian doctrine comes from Paul's writings. The Essene Gospel of Peace has nothing to do with the Dead Sea Scrolls. Go ahead and try and find anything in an academic publishing of the Qumran find that matches this document. It is a fraud. I made a video on modern gospel forgeries and this was one of those I discussed. I guess the durianking knows something you do not.
You are making the same mistake Paul is. You are trying to validate something by it's authentication. Who cares where words come from, if they are true, they are true, that is all that matters. Who wrote the Bible? Can you validate who wrote the Bible, because you would be the 1st in history to do so.
Name me any single textual scholar who believes this is real. It is quite obvious the thing was written in the early 20th century as it advocates health practices that were very fashionable at the time of its "discovery" but not before or after. There is also the matter of Szekeley continually changing his story from one edition to another. We do actually have a good idea of the time frame for the Biblical texts and it is not the twentieth century.
It matters Szekeley claims these was an ancient ms. Whether one believes the NT accounts or not, they reflected what early Chrisitan communities believed. This is a hoax written to reflect someone's pet views in the early 20th century to project back on early Christians who had no attachment to these beliefs.
You are entitled to your opinion. I don't know where the Essene Gospel came from, but I do know that it makes more spiritual and nutritional sense (to me) than any other spiritual book I have read, and I have read most all of them. It is only the words that matter, not where they came from.
I may not believe, for example, the Hindu scriptures but I have confidence they reflected the beliefs of the Hindus at the developmental period of that religion at the time it was written. This is a hoax designed to project an image on the past that was never held. That is why it is illegitimate.

Hi Paul, This is a big movement in the vegan peoples of today. I am not at all against being a vegan but I am against people making it a religion and saying that they follow the Bible and Yeshua and saying that the Bible teaches that we should not eat meat (it doesn't). This book is the cause along with Gospel of Peace. The main way to spot a phony is to compare it to Torah which is the standard and Rock that will stand the test of time. Eating healthy is great, I support it fully.

Traits that I've found from experience that people who are so emotionally invested in the Essene Gospel of Peace:
1) they are VERY IGNORANT of the Bible

Ascribing common sense food intake to a creator (whether or not one actually exists is debatable) rather than one's own experience is somewhat silly. That's just my opinion. We don't know what god, whether there is one or not, said about what to eat. Men (in beards) wrote it. We constantly revise what works and what doesn't. Eat to his own.

In my mind there is no doubt that our Creator exists but you have the right to believe what you want. That's not what this is about. I've been reading this book recently and while I don't know what I believe about it's authenticity, I can say that the the author doesn't claim it to be from the Dead Sea Scrolls. He claims that it was found in the Vatican Library (there are many ancient historical documents tucked away there) and in the Hapsburg Royal Library. The scholar that he was (read his bio), I have no doubt he could have seen these books. Like many of the alleged words of Jesus, they were written a century or two later.

Thanks for the digest... That's one more book I don't have to read. I find it amazing how fooling people can be. They will spend a whole week reading garbage like that book but they wont spend even 30 minutes reading the bible. And then they claim to know the facts....LOL

It has been pointed out that all scripture is ultimately gnostic in nature. Even if you accept the bible as Jesus' exact unedited message (unlikely) then you have to admit Jesus was inspired the same as Szekeley. The only thing I fault Szekeley for was that he seems to have lied to make the scriptures sound authentic. On the other hand the Essene Gospel is IMO an amazing book which helps many people. You might be able to attack the author but what about the message?

I did a few up from the books that were amazing, accounts of the trial, things they left out of the bible, unless your not interested ...then what can i say...anyways..tests these books further you may be missing out Paul and I do beleive in these books to have great eye witness accounts from this group Essences..there is nothing wrong with this teachings and guiding people back to Genesis diet

The gospel of Peace is blatantly false doctrine. Even the added Commandments, to involve the mother earth laws. May the Lord guide you on your journey closer to the Savior, Jesus Christ (Yahshuah). I also encourage you to read the health message given by Ellen g White. Notice she is very accurate and wrote her message about 100 years before the health community started picking up on it. Also, you should study more on the Gnostic principles, you will find that many of the "mysteries" correspond. Another big problem occurs with this text. Jesus Christ becomes just a teacher and not the Son of God, thus changing the trinity. Also the Dead Sea Scrolls do not correspond with this text. Deeper meanings?

The love of Jesus is not a secret, it is in fact the greatest commandment He commissioned His church. There is no plural sons of God. There is only God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Even your book talks of father, mother, son You will notice that God is always meant as a plural even in the Old Testament. Deut 6:4, Gen 1:1-2, John 1: 1,14. Gen 1:26, Gen 3:22, Gal 3:20, Isaiah 6:8

@houseofisraelmusic I eat only the "clean meats" yes. That does not mean that is the only diet discussed in the Bible, one can obtain all required nutrients from a plant based diet. Also when the Bible says "meat" it is referring to food. I am not claiming to know everything there is either. The Bible does give us ways in which we can validate doctrine. I stand on the Word of God when comparing other doctrines or texts, and honestly the Essene book does not pass the test.

When God created Adam and Eve He gave them dominion over the earth, we are stewards of the earth already. What I saw in the books was taking the earth and deifying it. Also the removal of Jesus Christ as the truth the way the life and our only way to salvation was ever present.

God has done nothing in secret, so for me, supposed extra commandments at the time of Moses, written by God's finger, goes against the character of God. Religion is the understanding of the thinker. If you seek truth, then you already know truth. If you go out seeking something, the implication is that you have lost it, which means you already know what it is. What you do know is belief, and belief is not truth.

Thanks for sorting this out. I have been buying books on the dead sea scrolls with all the books, but havn't been able to find this gospel in them. And that made me very confuesed. So I bought the Essene Gospel which I'm reading at the moment. It's a nice book when it comes to health as you say and nice philosophy.

There is no difference in accepting the Essene Gospel of Peace as 'literal' and 'true' from accepting the 4 Gospels in the version of the KJV or any other version we have today. The cannonized gospels people consider the 'word of god' today, were pulled and picked and chosen, others eliminated by a group of men that sat around for days and negotiated what would go in. The popular interpretations of the Bible are also made up, just because they were made up a long time ago doesn't make them right. The Apostle Paul, who wrote most of the new testament, cannot be squared with the teaching of Jesus. And the majority of popular Christian doctrine comes from Paul's writings. Paul didn't even come on the scene until at least 30 years after Jesus' death.

The Essene Gospel of Peace has nothing to do with the Dead Sea Scrolls. Go ahead and try and find anything in an academic publishing of the Qumran find that matches this document. It is a fraud. You are making the same mistake Paul is. You are trying to validate something by it's authentication. Who cares where words come from, if they are true, they are true, that is all that matters. Who wrote the Bible? Can you validate who wrote the Bible, because you would be the 1st in history to do so.

Name me any single textual scholar who believes this is real. It is quite obvious the thing was written in the early 20th century as it advocates health practices that were very fashionable at the time of its "discovery" but not before or after. There is also the matter of Szekeley continually changing his story from one edition to another. We do actually have a good idea of the time frame for the Biblical texts and it is not the twentieth century.

It matters Szekeley claims these was an ancient ms. Whether one believes the NT accounts or not, they reflected what early Chrisitan communities believed. This is a hoax written to reflect someone's pet views in the early 20th century to project back on early Christians who had no attachment to these beliefs.

You are entitled to your opinion. I don't know where the Essene Gospel came from, but I do know that it makes more spiritual and nutritional sense (to me) than any other spiritual book I have read, and I have read most all of them. It is only the words that matter, not where they came from.

Ronnie, I kindly say, your comments are the perfect example of Proof of how misled people are about this topic. I don't claim to know everything but as i said, anyone who believes the Gospel of Peace not a fiction book is blind to real history behind the book. It for sure was not based on the words of Yeshua. What spiritual book is not a book of fiction? I know the Mormons claim that they have a book written by God himself, but are making the same claim. Your so called "scriptures" are also fiction written by men. So who are you to claim to know which books are "good" and which are not. That's what the Nazi's did.

Szekeley's original story was that he found it in the Vatican library. That was proven to be false so he said it was from a monastary that had been blown up during WW2. Then he changed it to the Dead Sea region. Then he added "new texts" to it. It's a hoax.

I don't think he was attacking the Essenes who existed 2000 years ago. They were very devout Jews. This particular document by Szekeley has long been known to be a modern fraud.

Name one scholar who accepts this hoax. Just one. Show me one single manuscript so we can test it. Just one. There are none. Combine that with Szekeley changing his story of how he found it every 5 years and you have yourself a hoax.

Right on! Was the Vatican truthful and forthcoming about child abuse and homosexuality within the priesthood? Most all religions and governments lie and hide things to protect their take on what we should believe.
