    Can 'e 'ave one?

  • SO Bloody (North) English. This could never have been made in America.

  • so greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat track baby

  • No matter what kind of a day I've had ... I hear this song and all of a sudden ... nothing's wrong anymore.

  • Simply brilliant piece of goooood music.

  • Used to play this a lot on my local pub juke box. A classic!

  • Bloody loud, me bloody head hurts.

  • This song was not only on the US released version. It´s also on the german release!

  • So he thinks his fans are all nerds and geeks?

  • @2Touchstone nope, read the comment of rus2ajr

  • This is MK doing a Leeds accent imo- which is where he went to uni and worked on Yorkshire Evening Post for a while. He worked places like The Fenton during that time and It was and still is full of fans of new stuff, and they always ask for badges, posters, stickers and t-shirts

  • Still has me in stitches this one.

  • hopefully hes making it all up and not repeating some stupid groupy diatribe that hehas actually had to sit thru backstage....

I love the whole thing thou... he rules.

Makes the guitarist from Stray Cats sound like an amateur in less than 30 seconds.

  • Well, don't misunderstand me....bout what I'm gonna say....cause I'm a die hard fan of Mark for 25 years.... But honestly, Brian Setzer, in terms of Boogie & Ragtime picking, is a million miles away from Mark. No comparison possible.

  • Genius. :D

  • Ha! I have this on a cassette!! It's the B-side to Twisting By The Pool

  • Definitely a big contrast between this and Romeo and Juliet!!

    Love both though...

  • Being a born and bread in the south, this is the epitamy of the north for me,this was my first introduction to dire straits and a b-side to a single ,before this song it didnt occur to me 7" had b-sides.brilliant song hadnt heard it since my brother moved out and took all his albums and stuff with him.gonna see wot else is out there.

  • strange song, but one of their best.

i love the line about ACDC being greasy noise makers.

  • I had this song a long time ago and I had forgotten about it till recently when I acquired it. It's like an impromptu recording of a jam session. The words always make me laugh. It seems like it's Mark's way of making fun of the guys that try and relate to the band.

  • Mark did say he was very good at goofin off, I believe him now.

  • i love all dire straits songs .but this is up there with the classics like sultans of swing and money for nothing

  • wow, I can't believe this is MK. Anyway, great song.

  • "Yeah, me and my mate like AC-DC

Hot and sweaty, loud and greasy"

  • i love this song!! haha

  • A (great) strange song!
