Hi there! How long did it take for the whole process to transfer the windows files to your USB device? I started with this program today and so far it has only transferred 30 pct of the WIN XP files to my USB in about 40 minutes or so. It seems that this program is quite slow with XP...

This program doesn't copy all the files needed. Some of the folders in my USB are empty or half full (The sources folder for instance has no files after input.dll) Using the command mode might be quicker after all!

Not really working for me and I can't pin down why. I'm trying to install XP, actually i'm sure all i need to get to is the repair function. When WinToFlash finishes the transfer process and I open it up in "Computer" it lists these files:

$WIN_NT$~BT

$WIN_NT$~LS

$LDR$

boot.ini

ntdetect.exe (MAS-DOS App)

ntldr

txtsetup.sif

it's like its installing the operating system to the flash drive instead of just making it into an installer that I can boot from. I cannot boot from it at all.

any help???

Thanks man, I already waisted half of day with lots of commands in command com and programs for xp and all had some problems, either command com orders didn't worked good in xp, either program make the stick bootable and transfered windows files there but when boot moment camed it didn't booted from stick, or even funnyer, one wonder program didn't see the stck :)). And then search here on youtube, your video was the first to find. Downloaded your program and worked very easy from first time.

If you have an iso(copied or downloaded) then you need alcohol 120% or 52%, then mount the iso on it and then use this software.

it said at the end that you have to use the USB drive to boot windows 7 every time.

When i tried to boot my bootable usb, it goes to into a page asking which OS to start, which looks something like this:

1st -- text mode setup (Boot from flash again after finished)

2nd: GUI mode setup, continue setup + 1st start of Windows

--> DEBUG, in case of HAL.DLL or NTOSKRNL.EXE not found errors <--

Debug boot rDisk 1 partition 2......

Which one do i choose?

@jonath198 afther you finished the instruction in the vidoe take the usb into the pc you want to install the windows

and when the computer start look for a massage that call a "Boot Setup" or somthing like that is probly f12 or f11 (if you didnt understand when the computer start just press F11 or F12 until you see a window that lets you pick a type of drive to boot from)

so when you know how to get in the boot setup choose the usb drive and it will restart the computer and start the install.

I'm planning on buying a computer for £800 but they're charging a extra £80 for a included operating system (Windows 7 home 64-bit) If i was a little sneaky and downloaded the operating system could i put it on a external hardrive (Hitachi XL500 500gb) and install it off that? So heres my problem i have windows system32 config system missing or corrupted and i plan to use a bootable flash drive to fix. I plan to use the flash to access my windows again and on the computer im just gonna copy the missing files from my bootable flash to the computers main drive. @baractarumihai If it is a iso file then you can download poweriso. After you download poweriso mount then mount the iso and it will appear as a cd.
