  • Doc Hollidays favorite also.

  • lolwut that's my last name

  • For the money, with quality balanced by value, my favorite liquor of all time...makes an awesome Manhattan...my favorite liquor drink and close second to my all time favorite...Brown Ale.

  • This is our Family Heritage... We just had the Overholt Reunion last weekend. If there are others from this line of Overholt's - Plan to attend next years Overholt Reunion. July 16, 2011 at the Van Wert County Fair Grounds at noon.

  • Country people are faggots

  • @Jboxton what does that even mean. ?

  • Western PA near Connellsville

  • Got the Old Overholt here in Germany too, like it really mutch, but good Scotch plays in a higher league ;-)

  • @CherewElohim With respect, don't you think that's a bit of a mis-statement? I enjoy really fine Scotch, say for instance, cask strength Laphroaig, or 23 year old Bowmore, but that's altogether a different flavor and texture. Sometimes you want something a bit more peppery and tangy, and O.O. does the job. Different drinks for different moods! In any case, love and peace to you my fellow drinker!

  • @unclejoeoakland Well maybe you are right. Its another kind of taste. Bourbon, Scotch or so on, cant be really "compared" like, "this is the best one", in this case you are fully right. Maybe ive choosen the wrong words back then to describe my kind of "mood" or "taste". Its another kind of stuff, but well, its also kind of good stuff. By the way, try Ardberg Supernova. .By the way, feel free to pn for good Bourbon suggestions, i think the lobby here in germany isnt that big for it. Cheers mate

  • @CherewElohim Ardbeg... haven't tried Ardbeg yet... and now you are recommending it, and a friend of mine already has. Guess it's time to pick up a bottle. I would love to know what your preferences in Bourbon are. I had a bottle of Black Maple Hill that was about 16 years old, great stuff. Lately though, I've been a little off bourbon, because a lot of the stills are pushing soft crap for the mixer set, at least in America. The Scotch makers seem to be sticking to quality/ character. Cheers!

  • My middle name is Overholt. They're supposed to be in my family tree but whatever! I tried Old Overholt not long ago and loved it! Here in New Orleans, (WHO DAT!), some of us drink Sazeracs. Rather than Sazerac Rye, I pour in the Old Overholt! yum!

  • I was lucky enough to happen upon it on the top shelf of my nearby liquor store. Now I drink Old Overholt all the time.

  • best whiskey ever! Abraham Overholt is my hero!

  • I am in love with this whiskey. We buy by the case ( we have 6 full cases ready to drink in the closet)

  • good whiskey

  • This is my families whiskey...nice video

  • is it any good?

  • this is an excellent, excellent video!

  • Learn more about Abraham Overholt and his whiskey. Google "The Overholt Family Tree ~~ Karen's Branches.2" and get the whole story! A lot of history and pictures.

  • I prefer that blond drink of water on the left

  • Wonder if i can find a doctor that purscribes medical whistky!!A liter a day keeps the doctor away!!!

  • I've always wanted to try this. indeed it is hard to find

  • Man that's some good stuff

  • I was visiting friends in Canada eight years ago and they introduced me to the lovely drink of ginger & rye. Upon returning to the states I went looking for rye whiskey and the only one I could find was delicious Old Overholt. It's become a champion among my friends, but sadly it's hard to find (as the video points out). When mixing, use real ginger beer ... when drinking straight, keep one eye on the saloon door.

  • A delicious, cheap rye. Try with Fee's Aromatic Bitters for wonderful Old Fashioned. Skip the fruit salad.

  • I was excited to try Old Overholt out after seeing this video last night. You guys said it would be hard to find, so I figured it would be just as hard here in Nebraska to find a bottle. But when I went to the liquor store to see if they had any, they did! And they actually had plenty of it in stock on the shelf. I was quite surprised. I got myself a bottle. Thanks for providing these recommendations! This is really good stuff.

  • Nothing like a taste of the old west. I'll have a shot of Old Overholt thank you.

  • Western Pennsylvania?
