Well, let's be honest. Off course there is enormous taltent in the US. That's because the origin and the popularity of the game in the US.
But then again you have to consider the fact that there is a lot of talent outside the US.
Parker, Ginobilli, Nowitzki, Nash, Ming, Gasol etc ect.
The fact that no one cares for the olympics in the US, tells me how small your world really is. You Americans probably don't know how to find IRAK on the world map either...

Well, maybe it has to do with the fact that the United States only boarders 2 countries. In Europe you're all bunched together and can be in another country in 2 hours. Not to mention the United States is over twice the land mass of western Europe combined.
Maybe it's because not until recently has there been so many good players from outside the United States. Also it's more like a college/amateur game. 5 fouls, 20min half instead of 24 min, less physical.

Oke, you have a point there. Indeed the US is a huge country and has been on the top of the ladder for some time now. I live in The Netherlands wich is a great country, socially and economiccally but I have always had great interest in other cultures and it seems a lot of Dutch people are like that. So, looking at the recent (sports)history of the USA it would be better to take a look outside now en then... The US has always been a great country but lately it's a country without a soul...

when i heard the pick, I booed too because i wanted the Knicks to get Bayless cuz he was available at the time and Knicks really need a true PG. But this guy got booed so much i kinda felt bad. We should give this guy a chance to prove himself. From the vids he looks like he can play good anyway! I'm now happy we got this guy.
