OK, both comments are a matter of opinion One thing is for sure though, more professinal musicians who KNOW what sounds better use the fantom above any other workstation, people that have heard the difference when they could use anything. And you can't tell me your getting a $3500 keyboard JUST because of the sequencer. The G8 HM grand, is leaps and bounds above ANY synth grand on the market. your getting the G8 cause you know there is nothing else close to it's sound, or it's functionality.
I didn't realize that was my friends account! lol That last post was actually me. I have a Fantom G8 on Pre-Order because of its Sequencer. NOTHING more. NOTHING beats the OASYS. Period. NOTHING. The Fantom-X sounds incredibly THIN compared to the OASYS. My friend will even attest to that as well. Point is this: UNLESS you've had a LOT of experience with the OASYS, you are just another "nay sayer." I OWN that machine and I KNOW what it can do. You don't. And THAT's the difference! K?
The fact that you OWN that machine, and that your FRIEND will back you up means diddley shit to me my friend. It makes everything you say about it PERSONAL BIAS. I've played the OASYS at guitar center, and it sounded good, but is by no means THE BEST. Yes, I like the fantom better, did I say NOTHING beats it PERIOD? No, beacause NO ONE can claim any one machine is hands down THE BEST, least of all you who obviously has a hard-on for korg. "K?" the fact is they BOTH have their pros and cons
I bought my OASYS based on Sound Quality ALONE. I'm buying the Fantom-G8 JUST for it's sequencer. And because it's a Keyboard I'll actually USE it. And the rest takes care of its self. I have an MV-8800 that lacks Multitrack Recording in MIDI (NOT Audio) and Multitimbral support (thanks to OMNI Mode recording) and I'm not using it because it lacked those two features that completely KILLED it for me. The Fantom-G8 will fill in that gap for me on TOP of a KILLER keyboard!
Korg make the best piano samples around, admitadley Roland have just come up with one of the best very recently but Korg have always lead in their piano samples. The Roland V-synth is the most powerfull synth on the planet just now and it is great to play one! NIce job!!
This is roland's vocal designer. Available only on V-Synths. My opinion, TC electronics' vocal processors sound more natural. (but they're very expensive)
My ASS! I've used the Fantom X8 for a LOT of projects and the OASYS just beats it in EVERY aspect! Go play one just listen to the dampers and how well that thing sustains! You could NEVER get that kind of realism on a Fantom. And if your judging by the sound of this video, WAKE UP! I have an OASYS so I KNOW how amazing the sounds are. And I've used them ALL!
You must be smokin crack, the fantom piano was recorded with every note at four different velocities, (over 700 samples of grand) using the best mics and mic pres available, not to mention the ability to open and close the piano lid, and adjust the resonance and key strike. Korg fanboy.
I have an OASYS and Triton (studio),WHAT would Adding a V-syth GT do for me?, is it mainly a Vocal Synth, not sure, as it's not cheap (£1799). Would like to know what more it can do.
VERnice video, wiash it was stereo!. Keep it up, see you at the Brits:)

That was the Oasys connected via MIDI for the piano and strings.

Fantom's ConcertPiano88 is a far better piano patch.

Beautiful song. It would have been nice to mix the original voice a bit louder than the vocal designer. Good work though :-)
