  • Saw them in Melbourne OZ after a 30 year gap, most disappointing nights entertainment, was looking forward to hearing Alan Paul's wonderfull falsetto but it has completely gone, maybe he has suffered some kind of throat problem and is no longer able to bring out those fabulous high notes as he did in all the old versions, still I guess we cant expect perfection all of the time ,age or illness has to catch up with us all.

  • awesome......

  • me singing the sunny side of the street /watch?v=q824gZ0OBsM&feature=feedlik

  • Amazing

  • Wow, I loved their "Twilight Zone - I had never heard them do this song - what a wonderful performance. Just the piano for accompanyment brings out their voices - and have they got great voices! They hit those rich 4-note chords with perfection. They are a team that functions as a single instrument.

    Beautifully done and harmoniously elegant.

Thank you very much for posting

  • No, that happy tune is YOUR step, guys.

  • That guy with a hat is probably drunk as hell

  • I am completely yours !! keep on coming in Italy please !! love

  • this is very similar to "Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra" am I right? but this group is outstanding! :)

  • It says "arrangement by Chris Boardman" but this is identical to Sy Oliver's arrangement of the vocals from Tommy Dorsey's version of this song from 1939.

  • Lovely song on this snow day.

  • too short

  • great song ..... what a special group tmt is .....greg australia .

  • you are amazing!!!!!! unbelievable...

  • Awesome! You can check out my piano version on youtube at willbennettpiano

  • "Midnight Matinee" Pullman Standard lyrics/song on YouTube completes this:

    DEFINITELY worth listening(and sing).

    PEACE!

  • What a WONDERFUL Tribute to the Original version recorded by The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra arranged by the great Sy Oliver with the vocal group "The Sentimentalists"! They were actually the 4 Clark Sisters.

  • Esta versión por The manhattan Transfer es igual a una que yo tenía en un LP de The Clark Sisters (The originals Clark Sisters) de fines de los años cincuenta. Lo único que pude encontrar de esa agrupación, es "Chicago" por Tommy Dorsey and The Sentimentalists, que así se llamaban al principio The Clark Sisters. Nunca creí que lo volvería a escuchar. La magia de YouTube.

  • Superb! Voices with guarantee for a good temper. They really make their own on songs. "Body and Soul" is also a real convincing tune. May they keep singing for many more years!

  • j'ai toujours été un fans fini de manhattan transfer depuis 1980 et je trip encore et toujours sur eu ils sont venue a Montréal a quelque reprise et j'ai vue tout leur spectacle et ils sont toujours le bienvenue au quebec merci

  • amazing:)

  • i'm almost 20 and i grew up listening to the manhattan transfer, cause my dad is a huge fan. =] these guys just get better and better. if i have kids, i'll definitely be passing all this on!!!

  • I was a wee lad in 72. Even then I knew that TMT were special. I could not afford any albums (I was 6) I remember hearing 'Java Jive' on the radio. 'Operater' was the only song that I could listen to with my parents because the religeous aspect of the song. My mom is an evangelist. They never new that this song was performed by a jazz group. The first album I purchased was 'Extentions'. Wait, I just realized I'm a life long fan. From 6 to forty-none of your business. Just kidin' 44.

  • From 1972, when I first heard them, the Manhattan Transfer definitely captured my ears and my heart. This video only proves that there is only one Manhattan Transfer --- a harmony nobody can surpass, nobody can even equalize. Love you guys...FOREVER!

  • They're STILL #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • smokin'!!!

  • amazing, just amazing

  • I love the Manhattan Transfer one of the best jazz groups of all time!

  • THE BEST!
