  • Nice job putting it down smoothly... I bet it was a white knuckle experience.

  • The comments about the delayed touchdown are addressed in the comments section. Flying a 1000lb LSA in 12kt crosswinds gusting to 18kts is a handful to say the least. I flew the approach 10 kts faster than typical to provide better rudder authority. I had hoped the plane would settle on round out but was using too much power to provide the speed that it reviewed to land once in the ground effect. Cutting the power finally did the trick.

  • why did you touch down so far from the threshold ?

  • Maybe when you get a few more hours under your belt, the concept of the touchdown zone will be something you can understand.

  • @JTN358AT Dude STFU.

  • time for me to go change my undies...nice job

  • I fly a CTLS. Six months ago I couldn't handle winds like this without assistance from my instructor.Last week I did some dual instruction and did three landings un-assisted in winds just like this.My instructor said I was doing well enough he wouldn't have had any problem letting me solo that day.My checkride is coming up towards the end of April. My CFI says I'm ready. You're videos are awesome.Happy flying!

  • Nice crosswind landing.
