  • or you can just put the lift in front of you, 100000 times easier...

  • ho thet was so funny when he fell

  • T-Bar the beginers nemesis, don't let it hold you back everyone fell at first so don't get too nervous and don't worry about the other people, you paid just as much for your pass and right to ride the lifts. Definitely the best way is between the legs about 6 inches down from ur buttock on your forward thigh, it keeps ur board straighter and if you feel like there's a little 2 much pressure just take a little of the weight with your forward forward facing arm. easy, watch 1m in front of ur board

  • two ppl on one is fun ;)

  • epic laugh by those kids at the end XD

  • Going to my first Swiss resort tomorrow, and my bf (who is swiss) says to put the bar b/w the legs. Mixed signals. I'm so confused! Maybe I'll just hook my jacket to the bar and hope to make it up the mountain...

  • someone laughed when he said it wasnt comfortable in this region

  • farken hate you T-Bar, but I will conquer you one day!

  • If anyone new is actually watching this. Don't do what he does man. Have your back foot strapped out and put it between your legs. It'll feel really uncomfortable in the beginning but you get used to it and you won't eat it because you have it stuck behind you going up a steep hill. Cheers

  • Did anyone hear that crunching sound when he put the T-Bar between his legs?

  • i lolled

  • just put it between your legs, if you dont suck its really not that hard

  • First off, YOU DON'T STRAP IN YOUR BACK FOOT DUMBASS. You are supposed to put the bar between your legs, AND NOT BEHIND YOU, YOUR A SNOWBOARDER NOT A FUCKING SKIER. Because if you get dragged up the hill with you feet strapped in, ITS LIKE DOING A SIT UP WHILE YOUR ASS IS DRAGGED AGAINST CARVED UP SNOW...believe me, it happened to me and it. fucking. sucks. big. balls. have a nice day!

    A fellow snowboarder

  • @xV3l0z1TYx He was riding a two person T-bar though, I think.

  • @xV3l0z1TYx

if it happend to you, you can't snowboard dude..

I also prefer to strap both your feet.

    cheers

  • I PWN AT THE T-BAR

  • lol

  • You're a bloody numpty, however I have to admit its quite amusing to watch...

  • I did the T-bar this year I put it between my legs and I failed 3 times. i had no idea how to do it but I didn't want to give up and finally i did it.

  • in switzerland everyone puts it in between of their legs

  • @benjamintg00

Here in Quebec too, as a matter of fact, I've never seen a single person ride a T-Bar like that in 8 years, and I don't know why anyone would wanna do that.

  • i can do no handed between my legs it is easy

  • This guy doesn't really know what he's talking about.

  • yea, first time I attempted the T-bar was in Breckenridge, REALLY high up. So steep that when I bailed, I couldn't get my flow bindings on! I wanted to cry. My skiier friend (of course) thought it was hilarious.... I didn't.

  • at the place i go to they put it inbetween your legs purposfully

  • its fun getting dragged up iv done it once i fell on purpose just to get dragged at song mountain

  • i laughed so hard at that guy at the end hahah

  • That was so funny! I liked the out take on how NOT to T-bar with it between your legs. After hearing the intro 20 times I'm going to be going around saying it all day, haha. Thanks for the videos!

  • theyre both wrong....

  • txs helped me alot!!:):)

  • fuckin dumbass, this is the worst snowboard teacher i've ever seen

  • you helped me a LOT ! thank you.

  • you helped me a LOT ! thank you.

  • T-bar is not made for snowboard and is ridiculous hard. I've been snowboarding for years and learning how to use that shit was hardest thing to learn on snowboard.

  • @killzone10 you know you can put the T-bar between your legs? It's wasy easier than how he does it, in my opinion.

  • @PeeteTv

Yeah that's what i do, still took me a while to learn though even after i was pretty steady on the board i still had problem with that thing. I also depends on the track though. Sometimes i really had to struggle to not to slide off it. Not to mention the more people fail the harder it gets cus the track get all messed up. I can do it fine now but that thing is still a mother fucker on your leg.

  • I cannot believe how hard I laughed at the guy at the end.

  • Im telling ya man.. T-bars ain't fun AT ALL if ya fall.......... It drags ya upwards and it freaking hard to let go off... and it hurts your NADS man!!!

  • love the guy laughing at him in the end :L

  • ghost 0:01

  • dude, put the t bar between your legs riding up with the board pointed up the slope, but with the vertical pole infront of you. thats the easiest way

  • 0:00

  • every time i'm snowboarding, (t-bar between legs) i get a weird and gradually bigger and bigger pain on the outer-top edge of my foot, right under my little toe. WHY?

(i'm a "lefty" but i dunno if it makes a difference)

  • Getting dragged up on the T-Bar - is The most difficult in snowboarding.

You may do slalom and jumps well, but at the beginning of your training, the thing that makes you fall most is the elevator T-Bar. One that masters the T-Bar technique may be considered a good snowboarder.

    Really! :)

  • Thought that guy at the end was gonna get yolked up by the nads

  • if they are experts and i can already do all of this and know all of this already what does that make me

56-58 seconds what is he doing

  • @xxebethxx It makes you dumb for watching the video...haha jk.

    I fucking hate T-bars!

  • @theleftofnowhere gee thanksim just watching it because i think its funny now... how stupid they look

  • if they are experts and i can already do all of this and know all of this already what does that make me

  • I had always that bar between my legs.. When you go for a short time down hill it hurts alot! ALOT!

And you can better do 2 feets to your board. :)

  • at the end it sound like sum one is laughing at u

  • 0:12 that woman in the backround only had 1 binding :)

  • haha i looks fun to be dragged up

  • 1:09 HILAROUS

  • @GuuiiGuuii haha

  • I can't ride a t bar for shit, I always fall off but thats more my lack of confidence so I know what he's saying here is complete crap, every instructor has told me to unstrap and put it between my legs, facing the pole and the lift operators even put it between your legs. Still hate t bars with a passion though, wish only chairlifts existed.

  • @teenagemutantninjana dude you have some kind of my double, i have the exact same thing going on here. i mean it's easy as cake, but i still can't do it, fall off it 50% of the time. i guess everything is in the confidence... which i lack and remembering previous fails makes it even worse. i hope i can forget all about this one day but it doesn't seem very likely...

  • 0:00 skip ads

  • Pretty hard to hold the t-bar down when the slope gets steeper – the bar rides up behind your back and you can't hang on. Way easier with it between your legs, FACING the middle of the bar.

  • loooool the end is sooo funny xDD

  • tips... when you ride the T-bar you should put the bar between you legs... but you should ALWAYS be facing the middle of the bar not like you just did... if you face the middle you will have control and it will be more comfy !

  • 1:01 you can hear camera man laughing

  • The guy is wrong: putting the bar between your legs is the best way to do it: it is more stable, you get less tired, and it also hurts less. Besides you can see when he's "demonstrating" that the guy is not used to taking a T-Bar...

  • @TheSkater5225 What a mature way to write a comment. Check out the T-bars in Norway and you'll get what i mean.

    Good for you!

  • hahaha funnnnnny. where the hell do they have one of these?

  • That bullsh@t! t-bars are outdated! if ur learning just use a damn chair lift and go to a freaking green practice area to learn! damn resorts! Install a damn carpet its a lot better and by the way lift operators should always stop lifts wen a person falls no matter what lift it is!

  • @aw2x214 Well T-bars can be good, they can run when its too windy for a chairlift. The only problem is alot of old lifts were'nt designed for snowboards. The big question everyone wants know is how to ride a Poma Lift O.O

  • Atleast these dont go high like chairlifts :D ill have these everytime thanks!

  • i know place near my town, where there is half of that T kind of lift.Thats horrible! If 1 person falls and holds on and lift drags him up others fell as well or if they wont fall then that pole is so close to ground that its below ur knee and try to hold that to go up 15-20 degree hill...

  • That so called "T-bar" is a piece of shit..

It's just a metal pole and a piece of wood!

Best way to do a T-bar is to put it between you're legs.. good controll and not getting you sore if you are doing it right + a quality T-bar of course..

  • @Woodbear32 fck you they are not just a piece of wood and metal they r wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better then chair lift WAY BETTER. and i bet u have never even touched a snowboard

  • @TheSkater5225 yeah... 1, expert village is like a company or something wich would be why they have like 138k videos... and 2. look at some of the other snowboard tutorials dumbass.

  • this is the only video i have found on youtube where they explain how to use the t bar, but it's not a good movie

  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • I HATE tow-ropes and T-bars they get you so sore that your muscles just give up and you just let go, I was using the tow rope at powder ridge and my board got caught under the rope and they had to shut down the tow rope so I could get free, I wanna just ride lifts...tow-ropes are shit xD

  • agreeable the t-bars and tow ropes are hell and should be banned srsly....i got hurt the other from those things and got a huge cut on my arm it was not fun

  • Tbar and bunny ropes are bitches, tried them the first time today, absolutely abhor them. They took tremendous effort to balance and have completely different feel than actual snowboarding on snow. They are just lame excuses for the resort not to build the carpet or chair lift.

  • Just to elaborate my point, I saw that just about every min, someone would fell down from the bunny rope. And I fell off track twice on the Tbar back to back, then made it all the way to the top the third time, it required so much effort. If you notice these lift generally don't stop even someone fall, I guess they expect its high frequency so just don't give a shit.

  • I started snowboarding today for the first time. I did the T-Bar perfectly with a friend, pretend it's like the rope tow and sort of sit on it and hold onto the bar.

  • we don't have these T bars at Mt. Hood Meadows at Oregon? sucks!

  • 1:15 LMAO!!!

  • LOL!!!! 1:17

  • You do NOT fucking put it on your back hip, that gives almost ZERO control, and you SHOULD take one foot out, you put it through your legs, balance so your front and back legs are spread out so your weight is distributed, and stay in the middle of the track. ExpertVillage = FAIL

  • @thebomb164 if u get good at theme then they r but u make a good point

  • i like tbars more than lifts

  • @askater101 nah, its kind of harder in my opinion!

  • Yeah, one half the bar goes between your lets like a butt lift and you get pulled up by your leading leg. Most resorts in switzerland have them.. Just got back this weekend from using them... He was going up the way skiers do...

  • i hate the t bar. fell off every time on my first day of snowboarding

  • wow that t bar is a piece, they dont even use it any more

  • having it between your legs is what it says at our park:P

  • it's much easier if you put it between your legs from the inside than this guy's method

  • ohhh i always thought you were supposed to grab it (and it worked out fine)

  • I did the T-Bar once, and failed. I had no idea how to do it, so while fully strapped in I put it in between my legs, but managed to flip, so I was upside down getting my ass dragged up the hill by my board as everyone laughed.

Thing is, I've been snowboarding for years! Even good boarders sometimes fail. Epicly.

  • lol that same thing happened to me cause i took a wrong turn and the only way to get back was via a t-bar, and i didn't like t-bars, so i grabbed on with 2 hands

got dragged to the top, it was actualy pretty cool

  • @RussJordii epicly would be if the snow gets into your trowsers and you have to remove it in front of every ones eyes :P

  • @RussJordii beautifully said bro, rock on and keep shredding!

  • @RussJordii true...

  • @RussJordii

in soviet russia, snowboards ride you!

  • you're suppose to take it between your legs, but from the inside!

  • Lol.. the funny part is how everyone was watching a really good snowboarder get dragged up the hill by a t bar.. ambarrasing if ya ask me :P

  • The bunny hill here has its own lift. Im lucky lol. Never wanna try one of these things.

  • lol I was in the position of the guy at 1:12; if you fall on your back, DON'T leave the lift!! grab hard on it and pull it as hard as you can to leave you enough time to get up. Don't give up, you'll get accustomed to skier's lifts : )

  • well....its called a "tele-ski" isn't maid for boarders but I get the bar between my legs, that also forces beginners to give their weight to their front foot = maintains balance and they don't fall. I'm going to try this guys method

  • lol

  • j bar dumbass

  • i hate these things, altough i never use em

  • I like the idea of just being dragged up...that guy at the end made it look fun for a second.

  • Yet that guy looked embarrassed

    haha

  • @ajh3292 I really hurt myself getting dragged by a T-Bar :S

  • i allways but it between my legs and i have no problemm xD

  • Ouch my DICK

  • what kind of ski reasort has a t bar?

  • on a bunny hill dude

  • Everywhere in europe... almost

  • ahahaha did that go up his ass?

  • Comment removed

  • ROFL 1:11

  • where i snowboard in quebec, they put the t-bar in for you and they put between ur legs and ur not allowed to do otherwise...

  • @thenextarronross ou ca? jai jamais vu ca lol

  • @jsbrmtl a stoneham pis au relais...

  • oh man if you mess up on those they are the most embarrassing things ever

  • dude, i've been riding for 3 seasons, consider myself a damn good snowboarder and I still fail at the tow bar... I've only tried it twice in my life on a snowboard but it's just too much effort.

They always made me tick that piece of wood in between my legs... something I was never that comfortable with.

  • L O L

  • i havent snowboarded in a while but after 3 or 4 years of doing it. i still couldnt do the rope lolol

  • lol the end

  • hahahahah omg the end was soo funny

  • what about under your arm.?? ↓→↑←↨?

  • t bars at coc just killed my thighs

  • the mountian i go to dosent even let snowboarders on the t-bar

  • thats gay

  • Many of the fields here in NZ dont allow boarders to be strapped in when riding a t-bar or other forms of lift. I guess it is easier to move away from the lift if you fall.

  • i know man bud fuck them i alwys ttake those lifts becus they go to the best stops. anyway they really hurt your hip

  • lool this is waste of time money and brain...

i managed it first try after 15 minutes of snowboarding.

    easy shit

  • t bar is easy but i hate it -.-

    :D

  • The T bars at Perisher (AUS) are really short and they make you put it in between your legs but after a while its pretty easy

  • Woo Perisher! I'm down here for the season and yea last year they didn't give me a choise, it was between the legs or go somewhere else :(

  • r u serious the easiest way is betwwen ur legs

  • yes bc you dont get pulled around as much. with beginners the tend to get yanked forward or slide backwards bc the rope has no tension ;-)

  • I h8 to take the T-bar between my legs. My leg feels like it's drowzy or when ur leg is wakening from a sleeP :S

  • haha yeah t-bars suck i tried that once on dodgy snow, got dragged up by my nuts! I now have a phobia of t-bars

  • ROFL, it happens sometimes with me.

But i feel the leg is drowsy when i take the T-Bar

  • matt - youre hot!!

  • im glad im a skier lol t-bars look so hard on a snowboard on skis its easy

  • actually its easier between the legs

  • maybe for a chick.

  • Lol its eazyer to just take it between you take between your legs.

  • this guy doesnt know SHIET

  • the bar goes between your legs

  • when you star snowboarding t-bars are really f****d up but when you ride it few times and get used to it its no problem

  • is this guy joking?? you're supposed to put it in between your legs

  • he probably is cause if you do the first thing you're in trouble...

  • I went snowboarding last month... T-bars got me almost every time around half the hill.. The track where it pulls you up, was a bit screwed and snowboard got stuck pretty often :D

    I HATE T-BARS!!!! :P

  • lmao at the end

  • Ah shit just 3 days ago i went boarding with a bunch of people and every single one of them biffed it using the t bar. all day i was laughing and pestering them and making fun of them and then on the second last run of the day i was watching someone in the pipe and i caught my edge in a groove of someone else falling and biffed it.....Totally weak.

  • haha thats called karma

  • haha yes...yes it is.

  • rofl, I always put the bar between my legs. if you have strong leg muscles its not a problem.

  • T-Bars are the worst gotta take em to get to the extremes brah

  • Dude, in the park i'm going to every weekend, its FORBIDDEN to NOT have it between your legs

  • LOL

  • i think what you use is a button lift

    they're slitchly different

    I may be wrong

  • you were on backwards. you should be facing the bar on the way up. it helps.

  • ive never even seen a t-bar before...

  • same

  • WOw, Really?

  • yea its just lifts and the occasional gondola in the east or at least the places I've been to.

  • this guy cant even ride the board

  • I prefer to just hold onto the thing like water skiiing, its simple, easy, and when you get to the top, you just let go and head down the hill. :]

  • this dude is still having to hold onto the bar doing it the 'right method' stick it between your legs, and let it pull you up. you don't even need to hold on to anything after a few times. thats how i do it anyway.

  • ah you guys are nasty why do you have to thiknk like that, haha

  • I put it between my legs but no too high so that i cant still have children later...

  • lol 1:10

  • LOL

  • in the Black Forest [germany] its differnet.

its this round thing that you have to put between your legs.

its hella hard if you have a snowboard.

  • thanks ;]

  • between the legs is the best method

and this guy even makes it wrong at the end...

you have to put the middle thing of the bar in front of you

  • hey as long as u get to the top

    :D thats my method LOL

JK JK first Method is easiest

  • LMAO The fall on the t-bar at the end is jokes!

  • omfg it made me laugh that he fell and dangolfboii is right chairlift for snowboarders def's
