@ToBeOrNotToBeTHatGuy Thanx for the comment! As a general rule "Less is more" with Kabuki. It's all about being able to see the actors expressions from the cheap seats. Shading can be a nice touch and is more common on women than men... hope that helps!
Amazing. I'm doing a project on Kabuki in my theatre class, and this vid helped me understand HOW to use the makeup and why certain colors are used. So, would you say that hard lines should always be used? Or is some fading and smoothing okay in some cases?
