hey mr manifest.. can i request the tutorial about how to make the portion of a map eg. map of japan and make it it's every region clickable and pop-up a textbox or a message box where i can put my message and i want to connect it to my visual basic 6.0.. hoping for the response..thanks ..Godbless..

to go to a new frame, you use the command: gotoAndPlay("frame")- how do you adjust it to go to a specific frame in a different scene?

@realcelestialphoenix I don't quite know why you would want to use scenes, but I beleive it's something like: gotoAndPlay(1, "frame");

1 is scene 1

hey dude, can u tell me the codes so that like i press a button and then i go to another frame.....

consider me as a beginner, cuz i am very new to AS3, i always used AS2, and there was no difference

but now i know, it is because of that AS3 can load 3d stuff, while as2 cant ..........right?

lets say you wanted to go to frame 5 and the instance name of the btn was button.

And hey i can understand from (gotoAndStop) codes as it will let us go to the frame numbered 5 and stop there, what if we wanted it to go to frame number 5 and let it play and continue

I think we must type in:

gotoAndPlay (5);

right?

and hey i brought Flash cs4, i followed ur tutorial in this video about cs3 and it worked in cs4, so i think there is no difference in codes between cs3 and cs4

it means the function returns no data, it actually is recommended to not use that, I didn't know back then though.

And by the way, if your using CamStudio, then try setting the video quality to a 100% for better results.

Well I did use a mac, I stopped though. Lost flash somehow on that comp. and all my trials ran out, and i cant get any earlier versions in english. But I think the autopan would be best, because I had to edit in the sound using audacity, so thats why quality is bad.
