what he meant is that in LA or in the US in general everything is so far from each other that u need to drive in order to get there, while on the other hand in UK or in Europe in general everything is a walking distance all together, and if not, there is a frequent public transportation so u actually dont really need a car... he was not talking about not being able to walk because of the fans chasing him... well at least thats how I understood your post so if I missunderstood then I apologize..
