As far as genius musicians go, they don't come much more genuine and spontaneous than Chris Martin.

funny!! artists often look at their lyrics before concerts to remember. If you follow coldplay you should see that Chris was learning the lyrics of "Christmas Lights" before the concert so maybe he forgot the lyrics or he just didn't look at "Amsterdam" lyrics before the concert!!!!

Hahaha btw, when they returned one year later, someone in the audience brought a big sign that said "REHEARSED AMSTERDAM THIS TIME?" And Chris just looked at the sign, shaked his head and said like "noooo". Hahaha.

But in the end of Strawberry Swing he actually changed a few sentences from that song, and sang some sentences from Amsterdam instead, so I guess he's forgiven.

Haha, I remember this. This song reminds me of a quite shitty time of my life, so when he started to sing, I started to cry. But as he forgot about the lyrics, I started to laugh instead. Then when he had a second try, I started to cry again. Then when he fucked up AGAIN, I must admit I was kind of disappointed, haha. But what the hell, you can never be pissed at Coldplay.

I think hé's fantastic, he forgets the lyrics and makes a good scene anyway. Stars get themselves out of things like that by entertaining the crowd, that's what makes him so good.
