  • Hello, it is very simbolic: you were on the roof, and you couldn´t to call "help". Well, looks like somebody that doesn´t know who can understand his/her pain...

But, I asume that I imagine it.

  • actually, I think the deep reason, is that I never get it when I ask for it. So I don't anymore.

    But the reason for this particular situation - - I don't really know. . . .

  • just plain ornryness is my guess, but only because i can see myself get myself in to the same sort of situation very easily!

  • guess I'm not the only one . . .

  • This is both educational and encouraging. It is good when our independent spirit stretches to need as well as be needed. It is a flexible shift adjusting to changes and finding balance. ... Love your musical S.O.S. ... LOL :O)

  • hel... good for ya.

  • "The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed." Buddha quotes

BUT, isn't it nice to know there are those out there that will help, that is the lesson;)

  • for sure

  • i do feel like mrs bean quite often too

    lol

    ;-))

sometimes i think i look for

    distasters

    on purpose

  • keeps us active . . .

  • I bet you just loved having your neighbor come to the rescue. lol

  • yeah, right

  • ya should keep your cell on you when you're up doing stuff like that just in case. :-)

  • at that time I did not have a cell phone

  • I'm glad you got down OK

  • miss margaret, oh mah gosh...i am so glad you are ok. good thing she heard you. ((hugs))

    *tori*

  • i'm so happy to hear you have been rescued. what a nightmare it must have been. where was your cell phone?

i am so afraid of being in that position i carry the cell phone my daughter got for me everywhere i go. thanks for the wonderful videos.

  • I also am a person who does not like to ask for help. I feel like if I was in the same situation--I would have done the same. It would have been very hard to say help... That could have ended awfully! I'm glad that you're okay!

  • you've proven twice this week that people, even complete strangers (as in your earlier dilemma this week) have the capacity to help when someone is in need! Glad to hear it all turned out ok...

  • What a FABULOUS retreat to be stranded at...oh I am sure not so fab on the roof with the sun doing the evil do, but quite unique and interesting nonetheless!

  • Great! I'm so glad your neighbor was able to save you! Did "The boy who cried wolf" make a big impact on you at a young age? My mom always told me not to cry for help unless you really needed it, so I feel conditioned not to cry for help either.

  • Margaret,

Thank you for sharing this. Important lesson learned and you shared it with us....We need each other!!!

    Ronnie

  • I have always helped others as well and hate the idea of being helped even when I need it

    Marc in NYC

  • I love your life, but I too cannot ask for help, and I hate that about me!

  • I so wish I had been up there with you. If that hadn't gotten you to yell for help, not much would.

  • out loud

  • To be honest, I do have the same hang up myself. I think I would have no problem asking for help writing it down in a letter or email, but if I'm in trouble in the same situation as you, I'd probably too embarrassed to scream for help. I think I eventually would when the realization that your life is on the line becomes all that much pressing.

I am very glad you got down safely.

  • but it would be so much fun to save you . .

  • I think im the contrary , atree3. I find it hard to concentrate on schoolwork and i always find my self asking for help. Im going to have to get my own ladder ... so to speak.

    Regards,

    Zenith Strife

  • the basic structure is made of insteel, covered with concrete.

  • I am glad you got down off the roof. Jumping would not have been a good idea. I am not fond of hights, I can't seem to get past the second rung of a ladder.
