yod'm 3d is no longer available. Otakusoftware (the owners of topdesk) bought out yod'm 3d it's now called deskspace. It can be found on the same site at topdesk

in all honesty, this is a great program for those who have never used linux+beryl/compiz, but if you HAVE used linux+beryl/Compiz then there is no way you can easily use Yod'm 3D. I just tried it today on my windows machine and compared to compiz or beryl, it's clunky (literaly), slow, and doesn't look near as good. But again, for those to impatient to even try and learn linux then this is the program for you.

Yea, you can get Linux + Beryl if you want a CRAPPY OS!!! I used to think linux was cool too until I got it. I downloaded Mandriva and it sucked. It's too complicated to install programs or get wireless support. The only good use for it is for quick access to your windows files. If you want a good operating system, stick with windows and add effects like yodm, rocket dock, and Madotate, like i show in my videos. so please, don't you even try to convince me into using linux cuz LINUX SUX!

Just because you personally found one distribution of Linux was not what you expected is no reason to say Linux sucks. If you found installing and using Linux was too complicated try a user friendly version such as Ubuntu. The last time I used windows for myself was back in 2004. I have no more computers in my house with windows and the only time I have used a windows operating system since is to assist a friend with an issue.

Be all you can be, Arata75. Nothing is for everybody. As for me, $30 for this is too much. Beside I don't use MS Windows at home, and I cannot use anything like it at work. Office policies... But, it's good to know that there is a way for multiple workspaces.

Don't be such an idiot. If you think it was hard, choose an easy distribution. Ubuntu's awesome, really easy to use and install and works perfectly. I installed it recently and I'm using it most of the time (Except when I'm playing games, ofc =P). It's awesome.

And, unlike Yod'm according to what I've read, Compiz-fusion is actually useful instead of being mindless eyecandy. I love using the cube for multitasking instead of alttabbing all the time.

this Sucks hardcore compared to Linux+Beryl. Try out Sabayon linux if you want a good looking OS. Check MY VIDEOS for some sabayon+beryl action

alkaydash, if u wanna life preview, get visual tooltip...anyway, juz like sweetcancer said, beryl is the best coz it only use 256Mb swap while windows need a lot of paging space to do all this....for great effect + performance + security, switch to linux

The bad thing is, that the TopDesk program supports only standart windows (for eg. it doesn't support Winamp window) and it has no live preview (the videos are frozen, or video player shows black space, not film).
