Which power of chanting can change a life? Speak, repeat some sentences can change a life? Pray to Buddha? Can Buddha save, help, give benefits to prayer?
I can understand which power from a chanting can make. Or people do fooling thing?
This made me cry i have been a sgi member for 28yrs,and i just started a fresh this video reflects my life am so inspired,FAITH,PRACTICE AND STURDY BACK TO THE BASICS.
This is a beautiful heart-warming video. It encompasses the true spirit of compassion and hope for our friends and family members. We are all human, but we all possess the Buddha nature. If we can tap into that truth we can all become happy. It's not easy, it takes alot of courage, overcoming many obtsacles and human revolution. Sensei encourages us everyday to take the necessary action to do this. Sometimes the obstacles seem unbearable but that's when we are about to break through and win! :)

@turgore its sad that you say that on this video, which attempts to demonstrate how people help one another in their lives. just because they are connected to a controversial group, it doesnt mean you have to bash a work of effort that is very emotional and inspirational

Don't expect leaders to be perfect because they are human.

It is a sect of Buddhism, not a cult. A cult is an organisation that deviated or twisted the original teachings, be it in Christian, Buddhism or any other religion.
I personally had tried Thai Buddhism and Christianity before but things don't workout. I had seen my personal life changes through Lotus Sutra. So I believe in it.
I followed Nichiren Shoshu initially. But as I personally see the wrong doings, I moved over to SGI.

gonhonzon is written by high priest, bt sgi 1 is not gonhonzon it just honzon cuz they gt no priest at all, y dont they just pray on normal paper cuz sgi honzon n paper is almost same it just the sgi honzon is a paper with a lot of typography that all.
Never seek the gohonzon outside of yourself. The material object is not important and priests have no magic power. We do not need an intermediary because we all possess the gohonzon inside of us. It is our Buddha nature.
This is a sweet video. People who believe everything they hear in the media are not thinking for themselves, and end up voting for evil politicians and having to send their kids off to war. Spend time with Gakkai members, go to a few meetings, think for yourself. Don't make a decision about something you haven't experienced. Not all religious movements are dangerous cults.
Besides that, it is just reading the New Human Revolution ( and also teh Human Revolution itself) to testify the real change in SGI´s members´lives. People can question about what they want. We are a free world ( ok, almost 100% free)..but question and check the answers and not just act like a child and accept what you hear or read on the news.

I myself enjoy very much being part of SGI and have experienced Human revolution in my life.

I just wanted to say that Nichiren Buddhism did not help me ........it made things worse... i found no compassion and no understanding.....just organised members that follow strict rules of SGI and nothing outside it......i believe kindness should be in practice not in chanting.......only.......anyway I find kindness and mercy in the eyes of Jesus Christ, after all this is the ultimate truth of Love and Compassion.

@kalani769 following a person does not change your life. Not even following Ikeda changes your life. Ikeda is a teacher, a mentor, he never says people should follow him. You must follow the law, Dont stop chanting. Love does not change your life. Compassion does. The compassionate thing is to take responsibility for your life and teach others.

the open dialogue that goes on at meetings. SGI is all about open dialogue between countries, even other religions! It is a world peace organization whose focus is on individual happiness, culture and education. I don't know of any cults out there that have these characteristics.

I pray for kosen-rufu (world peace)... but it is in our karma, our actions, with our own worlds that begin to build foundations of peace. The best path to peach is for people to find happiness and in doing so change the world around them.
Being an educator and a part of SGI, I determine to make my work be a part of a movement for change and for world peace.
SGI is only the vehicle with guides, we are our own drivers.

Spend time with Gakkai members, go to a few meetings, think for yourself. Don't make a decision about something you haven't experienced. Not all religious movements are dangerous cults.

Besides that, it is just reading the New Human Revolution ( and also teh Human Revolution itself) to testify the real change in SGI´s members´lives. People can question about what they want. We are a free world ( ok, almost 100% free)..but question and check the answers and not just act like a child and accept what you hear or read on the news.
Let´s be serious regarding research.
I myself enjoy very much being part of SGI and have experienced Human revolution in my life.

People must look at EVERYTHING in a deep instead of shallow way. It is so sad people are impressed by media against SGI.
SGi is wonderful and no matter what people may say, if they take a deep look at it they will see how pure and simple it applies nichiren buddhism nowadays.
Hope poeple can start taking serious attitude in a sense of analyzing SGI and everything else intead of just going with the crowd..that is truly sad.

I just wanted to say that Nichiren Buddhism did not help me ........it made things worse... i found no compassion and no understanding.....just organised members that follow strict rules of SGI and nothing outside it......i believe kindness should be in practice not in chanting.......only.......anyway I find kindness and mercy in the eyes of Jesus Christ, after all this is the ultimate truth of Love and Compassion.

@kalani769 I agree........i used to be a member.......its all good in the beginning.....but when it comes to fundamental changes nothing happens you just cultivate your self centerness more and more and you suffer more. i have no SGI friends since i ve quit...i dont mind i just see now......Jesus is the ultimate God the only one who show his love and compassion to all of us......and i refuse now on not to believe in such divine Love and compassion. seak the truth and you ll find it...God bless

You must follow the law, Dont stop chanting. Love does not change your life. Compassion does. The compassionate thing is to take responsibility for your life and teach others.

the open dialogue that goes on at meetings. SGI is all about open dialogue between countries, even other religions! It is a world peace organization whose focus is on individual happiness, culture and education. I don't know of any cults out there that have these characteristics.

I pray for kosen-rufu (world peace)... but it is in our karma, our actions, with our own worlds that begin to build foundations of peace. The best path to peach is for people to find happiness and in doing so change the world around them.
Being an educator and a part of SGI, I determine to make my work be a part of a movement for change and for world peace.
SGI is only the vehicle with guides, we are our own drivers.

To tell you the truth, this touching video struck a great chord in my mind and heart! Watching this video the first time brought tears to my eyes!
