Loved this video, your techniques are incredible, I'm a brown belt at age 19 and I'm working my hardest for not only my blackbelt, but also to go beyond 1st degree and so on. I love Taekwondo very much.
Young man it is so inspiring to see someone like yourself commited to TKD. Your dedication will inspire many people in your Dojang so keep up the good work and positive metal attitude. I started training when I was 13 and I am now 2 mos from my 50th b-day. I stopped training for approx 6 years but missed it so much that I used to dream about not being able to fight. Strange huh? You have awesome talent and natual ability. Keep posting your videos. I really enjoy them.
flipping awesome mate! I achieved my black belt when I was 31. I have had 10 years of raising 4 children now and a rather busy life. I can't wait to go back and you just proved why. Congrats on all your hard work. you would be brilliant to watch in a demonstration or a tournament. Truly incredible. well done.
Its never to late to join! I know people who didn't start until they were in their 50's and 60's and worked their way up to various degrees of blackbelt.
@MrPntbll4life i started when i was 17 years old and watch my video and now i can do many things it's only how to see this martial art and how much you want to learn =)
@MrPntbll4life never mind.......... i also join taekwondo when i was 14, and become black belt in 17. But most important thing is not about black belt, is about your feeling with taekwondo
Hey uhm, I've just joined WTF Style different from the formal ITF style of Taekwondo in this vid. I just joined last year :P . Can u post or make a tutorial to improve on Flexibility because I definitely need it :D. BTW, I am combining Taekwondo With my Black belt Training In Karate
Nice vid man i too have posted a vid of myself come and check it out leave a comment on the vid and pass it on to other people every one is wellcome thanks
Well I know most schools follow the traditional rule. In most martial arts your degree of black belt determines how long you need to train and study before your sensei can determine if you are ready or not. So for example if you are a 4th degree black belt you would need 4 years of dedication, training, and studying till you were given your next test.
This is some of the BEST ITF training vids on youtube, i think your moves are great and too few ITF show self defence which you do, which is also great, the only thing i would ask you to do is remove this annoying song, that ruins the show!
dude, i dont have a lot of nice thing to say about ppl on youtube because i think most of them are a bunch of fake assholes but i really liked your video, you have done well with your training and i hope to be as good as you are someday, i just started my training at age 28.
woww this video is both amazing and inspiring!! i recently started learning taekwondo; just got my yellow belt last week :) how long does it usually take to get to black belt?
Thanks! Lots of factors on how long it takes to get to Black Belt. School requirements, attendance, dedication, ect. Our school has a minimum time of 3.5 years.... but that takes a lot of dedication. I would say the average for an adult student is 5 years, children can take a little longer. But like I said there are a lot of factors.
hey guys nice video, i have a question for all of u..if feet are senitive do they get hard while doing TKD?cause i cant see my foot breaking a piece of wood. thnx for the reply!
Thanks. Yes your feet do become somewhat conditioned....but also with proper training you learn correct technique and how to hit with certain parts of your feet such as just the heel.
thanx for the reply! i did boxing when was little then i played soccer but i think im gonna be like my father..he had bla k belt in TKD now i want it 2.and learn me some skills. maybe u can give me some pointers? P.S i subscribe now ;-)
i'm not very flexibel now,i cant raise my leg high..does stretching help me for reaching the highkick move?cause i'm afraid that i cant do taekwondo just because i'm not flexible..
Streching apsolutely helps if u'r not that flexible. It's good to start streching all of ur muscles at least 4 times a week and you wiil quickly notice that your flexibility and confidence will grow alot =)
- i got my juniour black belt when i was 10 - then i took 10 years off andf i had my first lesson back last friday - so pumpd to get my skill back - like to get up to ur lvl in a cuple years
Taekwon-Do is great for fitness! In a Taekwon-Do school you would work on fundamental exercises, flexibility, aerobic, and much more! If you are overweight it helps you lose some, and if you are under, it helps you build muscle.
Thanks for the comment and good luck in your future training!
Keep in mind that people progress at different times. Some testing sooner and some testing later. With that said, it took me about 11 years to become a 4th Dan. Thanks for the comment.
The black lines on the arms and legs means that the person is an international instructor (4th-6th degree) and the black lines in the bottom of the shirt means that the person is a black belt holder.
Thanks for the info I'll have to get some books on it maybe practice some flashy stuff I'd like to do some cool kicks and stuff make me look scary hehe =). thanks again and cool Video.
thanx, i studied freestyle karate many moons ago,and recently i tried traditional karate but that wasn't for me i have trained in kobudo which i enjoy but i miss the physical aspect.
watching your vid just inspired me to attempt tae kwon do i also need to rebuild my fitness level so this will help, wish me luck! train hard live long.
dude how long did it take you to get like that? I've got a freind who has a 4th degree black belt hes pretty good but you got to be like ten imes better wats your secret?
Thanks for the compliments, but I don't have a secret.... I just train. Trust me my kicks and patterns weren't always like this. I have been training since 1995 and have never taken a break or missed a class unless I could absolutely help it. Also my instructor deserves a lot of credit. I guess my answer is to train and to never stop trying to improve.
Oh wow, man I thought I was decent but after seeing videos like this I realize how far I have to go. I just got my blue belt and man let me tell you stuff like this physces me up so much I LOVE Tkd and now I'm just going to go and work on my kicks even though its like 3 am an I should be asleep ;) Thanks for the video post man.
Awesome man, you've got increadible accuracy and speed. I'm starting Tae Kwon Do in the beggining of January and I can't wait, just like PorscheRidinDutchy. :D But, I made it to green belt a long time ago when I was about 10, but money was too tight back then and I couldn't continue my classes. Even though I remember most of the stuff, I really want to start back from White Belt :) Very nice though, keep training!
First off, I do not want to debate which is better. (That is all up to the individual anyway). With that said.... they are the 2 biggest TaeKwon-Do organizations. The ITF was the first international Taekwon-do federation. When General Choi moved the ITF headquarters out of Korea, they formed the WTF. The Patterns are different. And the Sparring is a little different. I can't tell you very much because I don't really have any experiences with the WTF. I am in the ITF.
Loved this video, your techniques are incredible, I'm a brown belt at age 19 and I'm working my hardest for not only my blackbelt, but also to go beyond 1st degree and so on. I love Taekwondo very much.
