  • I don't have much experience with Schubert, so I have little to say. If anything, a little more range in dynamics and a little more clarity in the melody when you pedal. Nonetheless, I really liked this performance.

  • Wonderful 5* !

  • Hi! My name is Manuel and I´m Spain. You play the piano very very very good. I´m excited with you. I play the piano but very very bad than you. Thank you for this song.(Please but, I don´t speak English correctly)

  • This is a truly powerful piece. In fact it is my favorite Schubert sonata.

When I had first come across your profile my thoughts were "such a nice piano wasted on Yiruma songs" - I know, it's an asinine thought. But I saw "D960" and hoped for the best. Sure enough, it was what I hoped it to be, and a wonderful interpretation at that.

At any rate I should have known that anyone with a piano like that probably wouldn't be restricted to little pieces.

Keep it up! Look forward to future posts

  • OMG. i played there! XD i couldn't get the chair to go down. hahaha. who's your teacher?

  • haha really? for kiwanis or..?

lol yes i don't think i even bothered to adjust the chair...

i don't take lessons anymore, but my teacher was Yona Kim =]

  • for a recital. :D

  • ohh are those 9ft steinways? looks like alot like the ones iv played on some uni campus.

  • the one i play should be a 9ft steinway ^^ but the one beside what i play is a yamaha =]

  • It is so wonderful to hear you play on a piano like this one!!

  • Thank you! =]

  • Such a lovely piece and played so very lovely Thank you

  • Thank you very much~! ^^

  • GREAT job!

That looks like a Steinway. They are hard to play on stage when you don't get to practice on one... But they sound awesome!

But I still prefer the Bosendorfer - it seems to ring a bit better and sound cleaner in the low end.

    Great job!

  • Thank you! =]

It is a Steinway~! That was the most exciting part about it ;D

I'm not sure I've ever played on a Bosendorfer... a pity indeed :S

  • @jgelhaar I've played that NY Steinway on a few occasions. It's actually not that heavy at all and produces a fairly bright tone (and has a huge bass if you know how to bring it out). Never had any problems with that Steinway, though sometimes I find the bass a little bit too powerful.

  • YOUR GREAT!!!!!!! keep up the amazing work <3

p.s. i luv your pony tail XD

  • lol and I love how you love my ponytail! :P

    and thank youu~

  • oh my gosh you are so talented. GREAT <3

since when do you play piano?

  • thanks!

    I've played since...'97 =]

  • Exquisite choice of tempos for the Andante; long thought you would be a developed sound on concert grand and I trust the adjudicators gave a high score.

  • Thank you! ^^ Yes, an adjudicator said that I had "great affinity for Schubert" =]

  • Wonderful performance!!! I loved listening. Greentngs:)

  • Thank you! ^^

  • It was good to watch one of your recitals, very good, thanks for posting

    And thanks =]

  • YAAAAAY! Great Job!

  • ^^ Thanks!

  • Very beautiful. Really great playing!

Had you the chance to practise on such a grand piano before playing this piece on it? I was kind of weird when I sat down the first time at a grand piano after practising the whole time with mit digital piano ^^

In the beginning i guess the camera didn't catch all the really soft notes which you played with your left hand in the high pitches.

Keep up the good work :)

  • Thank you!

Yes. Though I do not have a grand myself, I always play on a grand piano during lessons.

Yes..unfortunately, the camcorder was placed quite a distance away from the stage.

    And thanks again! =D
