@0ChrisMackle0 I am shy but that is not the reason why I do not talk in this video it is because if I explain everything in this video it will take a lot of time and I do not have all the time in the world. Anyway if you have help I can assist you via private messaging.
@monsterhunter445 ya compiling... we are now learning about some new stuff but i dont even know the old stuff... maybe i can send yu an old assign. and yu can look at it???
@koaluniaPL It's because I use the magnifying glass program in my computer plus I record my screen with HyperCam, It makes the mouse click inaccurate.
if u want to do a tutorial, then u should teach the viewers how to write such a program and not just: yeah download the code and then copy and paste....
@obesechicken13 Sorry about that my old videos where kind of fast and in bad quality, check out my latest videos which are recorded much more slowly and in HD.
I didn't really learn anything. But I did learn how to set buttons and stuff, but C++ wise, didn't learn anything. (though that wasn't your initial goal)
@uncrownedhero visual c++ 2010 has improved win32 intellisense but has intellisense removed in clr/cli. Which is why a lot of developers are not moving to visual studio 2010. So I advise wait until their is SP1 of visual studio 2010.
@sgtjoebear Its because 2010 is a performance hog. It takes to much power for example compare the compiling speed from 2008 to 2010 is a big difference.
I ran a simple hello world and the file size was 22.2 MB WOW!!, I looked up the problem, it seems in the solution file there is an ICPH file which is a precompiled header files and SQL server compact edition database file both which can be deleted to save space if it is an issue. The ICPH file is not determined on the size of the program, so for very large programs this would be an issue, but for a student this is annoying. Having to go and delete these files before hand...
@MrBoburin You have to make/use an installer that will extract/install the files to the correct location, there is one built into windows or you can google for one.
Good job! Thanks for showing me how to use the intellisense function ^^ I didnt know where it was, been using C# for a while now, and was missing that function ALOT! XD
the guy who made this video must be very shy

wrong way to go for a first program, folks, if you want to do this use visual basic, not c++..
Z3r0XoL 1 year ago
@Z3r0XoL Ummm, not necessarily. This is fine for a first program in C++, it can be doen in almost any language, even console based ones.
C++ is alot more powerful than visual basic.
