@milreputas Yes, in its underemployed form, potassium nitrate is very toxic. However when the sodium azide and potassium nitrate are fired off by the ignitor in the airbag gas generator, it produces nitrogen, a harmless gas. It makes up most of our atmosphere and the air we breathe...
