I think it is correct to say that the game is "inspired" on the Divine Comedy, not based on. The poem doesnt have a crusader Dante going for Beatrice, Beatrice was the poet's platonic love in real life.

Dante's Inferno is one of my favorites games. The gameplays, the scenarios, the animations but most of all, the story. Dante´s search for saving Beatrice soul soon evolves in a fight to save his own soul, and a tale of human nature, mistakes and redemption. The love story is beatiful and i enjoyed specially the animations drawings, the design of the game and the combats.

all the GOW trolls can suck a big one this game was great! the story was really fun and loved every sic of killing demons and saving soul. I know it was based on ook but it would have been nice to see 2 endings,1 for holy and 1 for unholy. so i could have a reason to play it twice.

Dante's inferno is actually the first part of three parts of the epic poem the divine comedy which is called inferno...the game only tells the part when Dante makes his journey into hell but the game doesn't really stick to the poem....still its a pretty cool and entertaining game
