  • :O i live in market harborough !!! we're famous x

  • If you like this and think Black Adder is funny, check out the entire series. This is a one-off special but the series had many episodes and covered 4 time periods. 5 if you count the Christmas Special.

  • Oh my, Stephen Fry as King Charles. Bonus.

  • Reading The Fry Chronicles makes this sketch so much more enjoyable.

  • Baldrick...how would you like to TEST THE BLOODY BLADE?

  • which season is this act in i am sure its not season 1

  • which season is this act in

  • Out of the whole Blackadder mythos, The Cavalier Years is my absolute favourite. It's amazing in that it packs more wit, character, plot and sharp dialogue in FIFTEEN MINUTES then Curtis and Elton packed into all the other half-hour classics they wrote. And that's truly remarkable.

  • Blackadder - The coming together of four of the best English actors of all time; Rowan Atkinson, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and Tony Robinson.

  • "You're dressed as a priest! How dangerous, and stupid, and perverted! It's just like school!"

  • Stephen Fry was hilarious in that! :)

  • "I'll give you two guesses" hahaha

  • thumbs down for mid-video ads

    and also for censored comments

  • thumbs down for mid-video ads

  • Fry's take on Charles is sidesplitting

  • i love stephen fry, but i prefer it when hugh laurie plays the stupid king, it's just awesome

  • do these advertising execs think that by rudely shoving their useless products into our shows that it will make us want to buy them?

  • I love Blackadder's face when the King goes on about how tragic it is that they won't find anyone to chop his head off.

  • 4:55 for the best joke

  • love the way he says 'fascianating, infinitely fascinating'

  • Dressed as the priest rowan looks like jonathan creek

  • His name is sod-off Baldrick!

  • Imagine having Baldwrick as your father making you listen to him.

  • Stephen fry acts like prince Charles.

  • i remember being able to watch this video without commercials...i believe thats what internet is for for shit sakes, a verry big F*CK YOU to youtube, .........BTW BLACKADDER KICKS SERIOUS ASS

  • And Prince Charles still invited Stephen Fry to his wedding he can't be that stupid after all.

  • Is this from the series or is it a special?

  • Oleg McNoleg. Now, that's a name I would use as a joke for years, but didn't realise until seeing this again, all these years later, just exactly where it originated from! Wee Jock McPoo-plop, was another one. Classic.

  • Fry takes such an amazing part.

  • Only just noticed that Harry Enfield does the intro to this.

  • I miss Baldric's cunning plans soooo much...

  • your brain is like the four headed maneating haddock fish beast of aberdeen....

    what, why?

    it doesn't exist.

  • thums up if you hate google fucking adverts

  • Shut up, with the greatest respect your Majesty! XD

  • "No it's not; it's a large pumpkin with a pathetic moustache drawn on!"

  • THESE CALVINIST BUGGER HAD TO COME OVER TO NEW ENGLAND , KILL JOYS LOL THANK YOU

  • @The Davelogan but all of these were two separate families or persons not ideologies like the Roundheads and cavaliers, the White and Red Russians and the Unionists and Confedorates.

  • If we get technical about it, England had more than one Civil War. There was the Anarchy when Matilda went to war with King Stephen and then there was the war of the Roses. Or do those not count for some complicated reason?

  • @TheDavelogan

This civil was different. It ended Royalty rule and Parliament ruled soon to be Britain. It was the beginning of democracy. Think about it, some countries are currently fighting similar wars at the moment. Some with violence and some without..

  • @TheDavelogan

I don't think the Stephen/Matilda thing really counted. They represented factions in a scramble for power on the death of Henry 1 - a bit like rival street gangs. The mass of ordinary people did not get involved, in the sense of taking sides. Much the same can be said for the Wars of the Roses.

  • @TheDavelogan I think it just makes it simpler for Blackadder to ignore them. "Only three Civil Wars in the history of England, and I'm on the wrong side of the one that's happening now..." doesn't sound as good a gag...

  • the oh he had a thousand sovren pay nony noe, gave them all away to the man with the axe....ooo

  • Baldric 4Ever!!

  • Tap Dancing Oyster... Genial... :0) Take care, God bless...

  • Ooooh, Rowan, you look absolutely yummy in this sketch! :D

  • 04:55 ! :)

  • Seriously youtube, all this spots i have to watch for a bad resolution video... I'm starting to hate u!

  • @kurwinsky the quality is not that bad

  • This is the head of a traitor!

NO IT'S NOT! IT'S A HUGE PUMPKIN WITH AROYALIST MUSTACH DRAWN ON IT!

...Oh yes, so it is, sorry! I'll try again!

  • @zamroc100 he doesnt say 'royalist' ... he says 'pathetic'.

  • fascinating, absolutely fascinating

  • the king looks like robert plant

  • @gurubhai01 the king's Stephen gorgeous Fry

  • i like how stephen fry is also in the adverts :D

  • 02:41 haha fascinating!

  • ROWAN ATKINSON IS THE BEST

  • Stephen Fry is wonderful!

  • Fortunately, I'm not a man of honor.

  • Thumbs up if you think Stephen Fry's part is the best!

  • I kinda found this special a bit lazy, the kitchen set is just a redressing of the one from series 3!

  • "I cant be bothered to hit you. Here is my fist, kindly run towards it as fast as you can." HAHAHA!!!!

  • HeyThis Is Smashing Blackadder Is simply A Classic! :D Jade

  • Baldrik, your head is as empty as a eunuch's underpants.

    Tears in my eyes

  • hurrah. go brits.

  • I love this show...at first I thought it was just a standup of his, but then i came to see it was a series..and I love it. I don't wanna ruin anything *SPOILER* But I like how each season the time period changes.

  • No the guy who plays Mr Bean is Blackadder. Blackadder is main reason Rowan Atkinson is great

  • "Hey nonny no!" Saw that part like 20 times and pissed myself with laughter! :D

  • Is that Mr. Bean?

  • @2054890

    No. Rowan Atkinson.

  • @2054890 Yes that's him

  • @2054890 : Duh.

  • @2054890 Yes, it is he. Rowan Atkinson.

  • @2054890 yes

  • @2054890 yes but this is so much better than that :)

  • @2054890 Yes that is. =)

  • @2054890 No it's Rowan Atkinson, Mr. Bean was just a character he played.

  • @2054890 Noo! Surely not, No!

  • @2054890 Same actor - Rowan Atkinson.

  • @2054890

    Yes.

  • @2054890

No, that's Edmund Blackadder, played by actor Rowan Atkinson.

  • "...I'm a busy man, and I can't be bothered to punch you at the moment, but here is my fist. Kindly run towards it as fast as you can." Timelessly epic hilarity.

  • My thoughts watching this being a child: Why is Mr. Bean talking and why does he wear a wig.... ohhh it's in his past lives...now I understand...

  • aww, look at the children fighting. anyway there's an advert in this because so you can actually watch the whole episode and the actors and writers actually get paid.

  • I didn't know Charles I was executed on my birthday!

  • I have not laughed out loud at a YouTube video since that Russian lololololooooo guy.

  • I've watched this video 35 times. I still laugh my ass off.=) Thumbs up if you do as well.

  • i love stephen fry :)

  • 'Shut up! with the greatest respect your majesty!!' LOLLL ROFL HAHAHAHAHA

  • i've seen the stupid inception ad like fifty times now! why the hell did youtube sell out!?

  • Watch it on iPhone or iPad, no ads then

  • @GuardianMike On Yahoo (UK) , I'm trying to make sense of the weather as the snow's a nightmare. Anyway, there's this really annoying moving advert for the latest Meet the Parents film. Not only that, they're sticking the bloody thing right IN your line of vision so that you have to move it. Now if they've gotten away with sheer cheek like that, WHAT NEXT?

  • Ritchie Blackmore !!!!!

  • just use dailymotion... simple as that

  • no ads for me... ke ke ke

  • ex wife need to push harder Go to datemedear.info

  • Warren Clarke played Cromwell in a docu- drama, too.

  • @hutch7909

you have any idea of the kind of resources it takes to maintain YouTube? it's disgustingly resource hungry

  • @hutch7909 stop whining about 15 seconds of time wich you dont even pay for.

  • @Thechosenchicken If you tolerate this, then your children, as they sung...

  • @Kelly14UK ....what?

  • @Thechosenchicken Is there any POINT in replying to you?

  • @Kelly14UK not really no. but think about this. more commercials=more money for bussiness = better economy

  • @Thechosenchicken Give them an inch. Next thing you know, there will be adverts at the start of your videogames, adverts you can't budge. Note how you have to stomache this advert here, and the one mid- video, and you don't have a say in the matter.

  • @Kelly14UK: Of course we have a say. We have just to delete our profiles. That would be a beginning :)

  • @albedoshader For example the Xbox Live profiles, I take it?

  • @Kelly14UK: Wow, you're funny, aren't you? Let's start with Google, YouTube and Facebook.

  • @albedoshader: By the way, what's the problem with not having to have a profile that's completely under the control of a single company for no real reason?

  • @albedoshader Errr, Xbox Live ( or whatever it's called now as I came off it 2007), the Wii and PS3 versions, too. I thought that's what you meant. As for control, well the more power people have and the less corporations, the better. BTW, if you're trolling, PACK IT IN.

  • @Kelly14UK: I just wanted to give an asnwer to the comment on having a say or not.

  • @albedoshader Okay. Apologies. For the past five weeks I've been on a major troll alert. They are like buses. None for ages and then they all come along at once. It's tiring having a ready supply of wit available to deal with them, so in the end I just get aggressive. Again, I apologise.

  • @Kelly14UK: Apology accepted :) I know what you mean.

  • @Kelly14UK thats true, we should allow it, but not too much

  • @Kelly14UK they already do if you have an xbox when you're at your menu you'll get all sorts of permanent adverts come up.

  • @maxgunn555 Yes, but I've taken my consoles offline so that I can play games like I did 2005- campaign only. I hate online gaming. Can you imagine if you are at war with a level you can't get past, and you know it's best to attack that level when you are raring to go, and you had adverts at the start of it? It's my worst nightmare.

  • @Kelly14UK It's really a damn shame! Although i'm lucky enough not to have to endure youtube ads here in Austria (yet!), i can very well imagine your annoyance toward them! You have my sympathy...

  • @Craplatte Thanks. I don't want to offend anyone's taste in music, but if you want to watch English Civil War, and you get Duffy's obnoxious squeaky voice in your face (without warning and too loud at that), it can be really irritating. There's many a vid I've lost patience with , and just avoided watching.

  • @Kelly14UK Personally, i don't care too much about Duffy's voice either :-)

Volume!! That's one of my many issues with TV advertising for example: the difference in volume between the movie and the ads! One minute you crank up the volume because you can't understand a word of the dialogue, the next minute some ad starts and you can't hear your own thoughts anymore!

  • buy colgate

  • @Stimor They don't need to advertise that at me as it's second nature to keep myself looking my best.

  • @Kelly14UK

sorry, i didnt realise you paid a subscription fee to youtube...

  • @burgerboy143 I pay for my internet.

  • @Kelly14UK

ooohhhh, thats okay then. i hadn't noticed that youtube and the internet were the same thing... (¬_¬)

  • @burgerboy143 I can see people keep agreeing with my initial comment. If you stand well, then stand still.

  • @Kelly14UK But saying that it does raise funds for a charity at least

  • @Kelly14UK This is a charity vidio

If theres one thing that shorly an ad is justifide for its things like this

It gives money to a charity

  • @Kelly14UK And they're hardly the adverts that Blackadder fans would ever be interested in!!! So it's even poor promotion stategy! And on the back of Comic Relief! Dickheads.

  • @Kelly14UK And they're hardly the adverts that Blackadder fans would ever be interested in!!! So it's even poor promotion stategy! And on the back of Comic Relief!

  • @Kelly14UK And they're hardly the type of adverts that Blackadder fans would be interested in! So it's poor promotion strategy as well as an insult to Comic Relief!

  • @Kelly14UK we have hundreds of millions of videos at our fingertips for no charge through youtube. Do you have any idea at all how amazing that is? And you're getting pissy about watching a 20 second advert? get over yourself

  • Mr Bean

  • 0:01

  • 0.01

  • If there's one thing we can be proud of through all the doom and gloom the newspapers spew, it is definitely British Comedy. Now we have our stand ups and back then we had this gold!

  • I love Stephen Fry. This is comedy at it's best.

  • Not under puritanism...

  • Well hello Stephen Fry. What a nice surprise.

  • This show is brilliant!! I just love it!

  • i remember watching this when i was so young i didnt even know what comedy was... does anyone know what year it was shown?

  • Oliver Cromwell is Dim from A Clockwork Orange !

  • @dalesalsa Whenever I watch Mr. Bean, occasionally it dawns on me that the actor I'm seeing playing that geek, was a cunning, ruthless character in Blackadder.

  • 1:09 : Holding that knife. Believe it or not, that's Mr Bean...

  • Shut up with my greatest respects your majesty .... LOL !!!

  • omg stephen fry =DDDDDDDDD!!!!!!

  • I love this show and i've never seen this before!
