I wish he was alive, I would vote for him, and great job using classical gas that was also preformed on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. We need theme back to slap some sense into our goverment
One of my favorite memories is being an opening act for Pat at Stanfords Comedy House in Wichita, Ks. He was so kind and gracious with my upstart little self. I was the editor of a monthy rag in Sioux City, Iowa in 2000...I ran him for President then...and may ...nay, WILL do so again in 2012. He is no more dead than Perry, Bachman, Cain, Romney....etcetera and so on infinitum...
As Pat said when running for President.." I know what America wants...in fact , I try to get a little myself "...truely a great comic. Always fun to watch.
Mason Williams was also his campaign manager and the whole campaign was his idea. Mason was the Head-Writer of the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and hired Steve Martin for the show too and paid him from his own pocket. He also helped pioneer MTV. Our modern culture owes quite a lot to Mason, you just wouldn't know it because he doesn't get credit.
I read his book last nite! His editorials caused so many letters,it was smothers bro audience that started the whole thing-miss him, thanks for the grat video!
Great job on this video. I miss him alot too. What a great sense of humor he had! I had the great fortune of visiting his winery in N. California, it was such a crack up. On the road you would see 4-5 signs saying his vineyard was coming up and be sure to stop in. You get there and the whole little winery was a village of just faked out buildings with just the store fronts! There was a poster of him on a window promoting his new vintage of refrigerator white! Laughed till I cried....
He always seemed to be on the verge of saying something funny, but never really did. Or maybe he did a couple of times. I have always admired his style, though. It showed so much comedic potential.
Actually, it kinda does. He was on Get Smart once, one of his best tv appearances and one of the better eps of the generally tanking fifth season. Was on the Monkeys once, and anything would have improved that show. Unfortunately I purchased at one time the comedy album for the "campaign" expecting something good, but was very disappointed.
Obama wants to be the first black President. Hillary wants to be the first woman president. Heck with them, lets vote in the first dead president! Pat Paulsen for president, now and forever!

I wish Pat Paulsen was still alive to run for President. Btw, what is that song starting when the slide show starts, sounds familiar.

Listen to him as he begins singing at 4:00. He had a really strong singing voice.

Why haven't we heard of him in England? He's a comedy genius. Ahead of his time surreal humour.

I recognize that piece of music, but I can't place it.
What is it?
