I've been seeing some guys trying to make music out of it but they can't choose the right tone and almost makes me hate this "instrument". i still don't prefer this over an electric or acoustic guitar though, it looks cooler to play on something with strings. =p

There's a thing called showmanship, y'know. For certain musicians, it's more than just the music, it's what you show on the stage live in front of an audience that keeps your albums selling. The Kitara is an innovative way to get heavily electronic musicians to efficiently play what they've written in front of their audience(s), while also having the mobility as a guitar player on stage. I'd rather not be stuck on a platform surrounded by giant keyboard rigs...

After watching a couple of the Demo videos and reading the comments it seems like this instrument is being hated by guitarists around the world already haha, they don't seem to get the point that THIS ISN'T TRYING TO REPLACE OR SOUND LIKE A REAL GUITAR. It seems like it won't be until Daft Punk uses this that people will realize what a revolutionary and awesome instrument it is... I like it already, might consider ordering it someday :P

The pixel look has less latency, so that way there isn't lag. I agree the previous UI's look neater, but you want an instrument that will perform well over one that looks cool.

@ZebraGoat Actually the comment about latency is not true. The resolution is 800x600 24bit colour. The pixelated design is just something we like the look of, but you can customise the design yourself as well.
