  • He no doubt would have had a stellar career and taken rock n roll to nebular heights.

  • Great interview!

  • Loving his accent!! He sounds so fun!

  • buddy's voice is just gorgeous

  • Extremely interesting. Buddy has obviously matured and become more relaxed with interviews since his earlier recorded conversations. His accent is somewhat muted and he sounds like the entertainment veteran he had quickly become. The Jazz question is wonderful. I feel that Buddy would have explored all styles had he lived including folk, gospel and Jazz. he was a true fan of music and talented enough to try it all. Cheers

  • Sick!

  • Buddy sounds so mature, thoughtful, intelligent, sensitive and a lot of fun too!

  • Just can't help knockn the dust off this interview. Love hearing Buddy speak ,strange how some people are trapped in death alive , true legend

  • My God his voice is so smooth!! I just wish I could have met him!!

  • Thank You for sharing this wonderful clip! Priceless!

  • I always wanted to hear ritchie valens speaking voice..

  • @fivedayninja on the lost tapes you can

  • There should be over a million views and as many likes on this unique clip.

This is the one and only Buddy Holly for cryin out loud.

  • aw sweet i live where he was born

  • @TheMechaliko Me too!! I go to lubbock high like him!!

  • gr8 interview...thanx....

  • Rock hates Jazz :)

  • It's nice to hear his speaking voice.

  • Both his singing and speaking voices melt my heart. Buddy has a way with words and is definitely one of a kind. His music will forever be apart of my life. <3

  • Man he could give a good and pleasant interview and was a great Musician I just wish he had not gotten killed before I was born rip buddy

  • I think if they ever invent a time machine, someone shuld stop him from getting on that plane. :/

  • I'm glad some of these interviews with Buddy still exist. He seems relaxed and very pleasant to interview. In contrast there are very few live interviews of Elvis partly due to the fact that his manager, Colonel Tom Parker didn't allow it.

  • I think Buddy's voice sounds sexy<3

  • is that a gangsta sign buddy is doing in the pic?

  • @marcusliddell I think he's just doing a "hello" sign, but I think the cooler version is the gangstah sign, lol...

  • Buddy Holly was killed on my wifes grandparents property. Small world.

  • @71rjeelykcir that's not true

  • Im not religious but its my dream that somewhere Buddy Holly, George Harrison , John Lennon, Ray Charles , Bo Diddley ( your dream is Elvis not mine) are knocking them flat somewhere . The concert of every millenium, Pink Floyd, Led Zep bah! Even the Beatles wouldnt compare 2 that. I wonder wot group from the 50's and 60's could reunite with all the original members, don't say the Stones, Brian Jones is dead. Thats your homework people, put your blue suede thinking shoes on and be constructive

  • Anybody know what's the date of the interview?? I just discovered Buddy Holly and i think is great, glad to see fan of that guy, you're right is so cool!

  • @estherHoneyPie Well, seeing as he's talking about Heartbeat and Well... Alright about the be relased, I'd probably say... late mid-58...

  • @TheDJGrandPa Yes, you're quite right. Heartbeat/Well...Alright came out November 5 1958, so this interview was made late October-early November snce Buddy says the record is published in a few days.

  • @Lancerike Buddy gives his age 22 and his 22 ed birthday was Step 7, 1958

  • i think this would be later in 1958...judging by Heartbeat about to come out as his next single@estherHoneyPie

  • imagine if he never got on that plane

  • @MRunitorn He would've continued with his career... making EPIC song's & we wouldn't hear the music we hear today. ;D

  • @MRunitorn Music as we know it would be so different

  • This was great! Where did you get the recording for this interview? This was wonderful! Thanks so much for posting! :)

  • That is the best interview ever. What a great answer to the jazz question! Buddy is my hero.

  • The voices sound too deep, different than a recording i've heard of this before.

  • what a stupid question to ask buddy about jazz

    R.I.P buddy your the best

  • It's quite amazing how the rock 'n roll concert was already developing as seen through Buddy's comments. Great video!
