All Stampedes are 2WD and run on 540 (standard 1/10 scale) or 550 size motors.

The VXL version goes 65+MPH (60 with recommended gearing, 65+ with crazy gearing) with a 3S LiPo. It goes about 40 on a 7 cell NiMH with the onroad pinion, and 30 on a 6 cell NiMH with stock gearing.

hmm, if there were steel gears and tough belts, you could mod a 4tec...

If you want 4WD, just hope Traxxas sells the V-Twin or put a Novak HV-Maxx in an E-Maxx. It's bigger, but it's 4WD.

4WD isn't everything. I'm not saying a 4WD 1/10 scale MT, an E-Maxx is a Maxx truck, which is more of an 1/8 scale.

I don't think the needed parts are available to make an electric 4tec that tough. Besides, most 1/10 scale trucks are traditionally 2WD. The general design of th tranny is the same in all brands.

my friend has won of those and me and him race with my rc buggies that gose 30mph myn won hes stampede didnt and after that day i went to his house to play with his toy truck agin but he let his little brother play with it onces he started playing it he got it stuck under the car wons he took it of underniht the car it made a big dent and also broke the back shocks
