  • As someone who studies Jewish religion in college and who is also obsessed with Mormons, these videos are absolutely phenomenal. I learn so much from them, even if I do not necessarily agree with the theology and politics of the Church. Please keep it up!

  • Wow, this whole time I though Mormons were Monotheists. I guess they do not believe in the Shema. I guess since Shekinah is feminine, that proves that God was a female when he came down to dwell in the temple.

How many of your sources are Mormons? How many did their dissertation at a university other than BYU?

  • Hey fellow whats up with the numbers? Have you any clue as to why Jesus went into the desert years? Maybe he just wanted a little peace from the loons. Then turned some tables when he returned.

  • I whould like to see a vid debat with you two. But I think some how there should be a mod or rules of some kind ?? but thats just me. I look forword for the next vid :)

  • "Hebrew council of the gods" the very words are as far as any Hebrew would believe and find so repugnant.

BYP you are either dishonest or just plain nuts.

There is no "Council of he gods"

    Jews,Christians are MONOtheist.

    LDS are polytheist.

Deut 6:4 Shema Ysrael,Adonai Eloheynu, Adonai Echod.

    G-d forgive you

  • You are simply ignorant. There certainly is a Council ofthe Gods. I just posted over 10 videos on the subject this last week. But please, don't watch them. The facts will confuse your fantasy paradigm. You obviously don't even what Monotheism is and means let alone polytheism. I understand though, once you speak the thinking is done right?

  • So you posted 10 videos...and? that make it true? now that would be ignorant I think. BTW can you have a normal discussion without the attitude?

    Facts? define the word.

Monotheism is the belief in one god

Polytheism is the belief in more than one god. Not complicated guy. Look you can makes up any religion you want but when you misrepresent what the Bible has to say then that is what I take offense to.

  • You call me dishonest or nuts and wish me to be civil? Dream on chump. SHow some maturity and I shall return it. Otherwise get used to the sarcasm judgmental dope.

  • Hmmm BYP I never knew you were so EMOTIONAL ;-)

  • Yes, I enjoy being alive. This apparently is wrong for you to be thus however. You already have a jump start, you're certainly dead from the neck up.....GRIN!

  • and still can out think you so what deos that say about you?..lol

  • You wouldn't know a true thought or bit of knowledge if it hit you right between your eyes. You certainly can and do out assert me, but outthink? You haven't demonstrated you can think through anything yet. But my you can blabber mere assertion really well. You never use evidence or analysis however.

  • Evidence & analysis? to help prove the BOM? wow leave it to you to have a taste for the ironic. It never ceases to amaze me that Christ's own warning about flase Christs and false prophets will lead many astray.

  • The assumption is, then, logically following, that since there *ARE* false prophets and Christs, that there are also *TRUE* ones. The scripture does not teach beware of ALL prophets, only the false ones. Prophets are essential to the Kingdom of God as any reading of the scriptures demonstrate.

  • It would be interesting to debate you, a Jew, on the Hebrew Council of the Gods. Would you like to take a stab at it? Do you produce vids, or use type only? I am more than willing and more than prepared to debate you on the Council of the Gods. God forgives those who repent. I have no need of repenting of sharing his magnificent word in the Old Testament Hebrew.

  • Produce videos? nah dont need to besides I have a face tha only a mother would like. Ok as Brigham Young once said "Take up the Bible compare it to faith of the Latter Day Saints and see if it will pass the test" or something like that. I ahve yet to get an LDS prophet or Gen. Auth. or laymen that can read scripture and not twist, misrepresent what the words say...will you be the first?

  • Gideon6640, Of the many nonLDS folks out there who have had this information cross their ears\eyes yours is the first I have seen that actually gets the impact of this. It is huge. And if you are raised in generations of dogma that things are a certain way but then you have someone come by and challenge the very underpinnings you are reacting very understandably. I'm frankly glad to see that someone GETS the impact of this information even if they don't want to hear it. This changes everything

  • You already twist them by declaring (wrongly) that they don't teach a council of the Gods, when in fact, they truly do so. You accuse me of what you yourself are guilty of. You don't trust me. I don't trust you either. Now what do we do? We don't have to debate via videos. I would just as soon debate in print.

  • Show me where in the Bible exists a council of the gods.......Debate? hey I said before no problem. Trust only the Eternal is what you should do not Joseph,or Brigham or Monson.

  • I already have. That you are too lazy and unwilling to view the videos is not my liability. The information is available already on my site here in the playlist called "Council of the Gods" as well as my newest 7 or 8 I just uploaded. Go learn, then come and talk.

  • Lazy? uh no you can't call em that guy. I would see more of your videos but what's the point if you can't answer my questions here?

  • I have already done the work. Why am I obligated to redo my efforts for the likes of a mere you?

  • "mere you?" hmmmm well is that the standard LDS asnwer?..lol well it's simple, your interpretations are riddles with misconceptions, misreadings and faulty reasoning...how's that for starters? You would flunk a Hebrew 101 not to mentions herminutics and textual critcisim. .....

  • And you would know this eh? lol...... this is all assertion, not refutation and evidence. I at least know the difference between arrogant assertion and actual refutation. Perhaps a dictionary may help you out in seeing the difference.

  • You ahve yet to produce any evidence and that is the issue...all you can do is come up with assertions based on fantasy and wishfull thinking. F.A.R.M.S which are a joke to begin with wo'nt even go out on a limb like you.

  • Well then prove it and refute everything I HAVE presented in my 73 part Book of Mormon Commentary videos. You make a claim, that is patently proven false (The evidence is the videos you dope, ANYONE can see this), I have presented the evidence, now go and do your part and show me the refutation with evidence proving it is all wrong. Who cares if you do't like FARMS? What does that have to refuting their evidences, or mine? Talk about loopy thinking.......

  • you bring nothing but speculation that's why..lol 73 part video wow and nothing concrete...FARMS? another way of saying JOKE...besides they are not an official spokesman for the LDS church.

  • Again, you have already demonstrated you understand the meaning of the word "assertion." That is all you do. My challenge, yet once again (when ARE you going to get to it already man?!) is show me some refutation. Ad Hominim is not refutation, just in case your Jewish knowledge doesn't comprehend that. I never claimed to be a spokesman for the church. Yet another rabbit trail to show us you can't handle the evidence. We knew that already, but thanks for the re-enforcment of what we already know.

  • Since you assert I bring speculation in these 73 videos, does this mean you *have* watched all 73? Or are you one of those ninnies who judge before knowing what they are talking about? It *IS* a rather typical situation with a lot of the critics against Mormonism. It supposedly makes you look smart when in reality you are either scared stiff to take it on, or your own IQ lacks the capability to refute anything. Take yer pick cowboy.

  • Again I ask what CONCRETE PROOF have you got? Why watch 73 videos when you cannot answer a simple question? I need to refute your arguement? um no you ahve to prove your stance with facts after all this is YOUR video...I don't need to prove a negative.

  • It's in the videos. Why write and discuss anything here when you so adamantinely ignore what is already produced? Remain ignorant for all I care.

I HAVE PROVEN my stance WITH THE VIDEOS - Hello, McMoron?! If you refuse to watch them, then stay in the dark.

  • How about: Psa. 82:1 "God has taken his place in the divine council ('adat el = council of el/God); in the midst of the gods (elohim) he holds judgment" (NRSV

  • Comment removed

  • JerusalemTemplar:

Psalms 82 is about G-d dealing with the Judges of Israel and nothing more. They were called "gods" because they had the power of life and death over the Israelites.

    con't......

  • ...Even James Talmage in Jesus The Christ (footnote)page 501 tells you that.

Beyond him it's just bad herminutics to try and make this verse a polytheistic mantra.

  • So what? He's wrong.

  • Ah ok mnow we get to the good stuff...an LDS theologian who was approved by the LDS church to write his books and are sold at LDS bookstores today is wrong but you are right...hmmm Im going to talk to some LDS folks about this because I think I will get an interesting answer.

  • We don't believe in infallibility in anyone except God. So why is it such a big deal to say Talmage is wrong. I suspect you are misreading him as you constantly misread my information.

  • Ok so only g-d is infallibale ok then has Joseph Smith ever made a false prophecy?

  • Not that I now of. And in point of fact, prophets are not exclusively prophesiers in order to be true prophets. Prophets are also teachers, expounders of God's doctrine.

  • but they are still prophets and according to your church revelators and seers as well...right? or do you deny what your Leaders say?

  • You made a claim against FARMS materials being a joke. Stick with one subject at a time. The assumption is you already have read all their materials (I know....I **KNOW*** better, but I'll let that pass for the moment), and therefor come from a position of informed ideas, not ranting ignorance. So, refute them. Pick a FARMS item, and show us how it is a joke. "Go ahead, make my day punk..." (to quote a favorite movie star of mine) They have THOUSANDS of their research items on their website.

  • FARMS is a joke and besides they do not speak for the First Presidency. ...they are a pseudo-Archeological group of lame LDS apologists and nothing more.

  • You speak in total ignorance and hence have no credibility. PROVE FARMS is a joke, don't just assert it, Mr. Gideon my middle name is assert but know nothing abot what I talk about." Come on, "Make my day punk." (to quote one of my fav movie stars). Take on One of Daniel C. Peterson's articles, or Bill Hamblin's. Try Matt Roper or John Tvedtnes. Try on Royal Skousen. Show me what you got, don't just tell me what you got. DEMONSTRATE......

  • Well lets see FARMS claims the BOM to be archeologicaly correct...but when they are asked to back it up with FACTS ooops..now that is a joke...so tell me the "translations" that support your polytheistic views.

  • Still asserting. I asked for refutation, which you obviously cannot present. Your claims are specious and phony. Until you demonstrate HOW and WHERE FARMS materials are a joke, I have no reason to continue wasting my time. Oh and yes, by all means continue crowing about me supposedly not being able to refute your assertions. I don't need to, they are phony from the get-go and without substance. You present no evidence against the BofM that FARMS has presented because you lie about having read.

  • "Make man in our own image?" Must those infernal judges who have power of life and death over Israelites again. Start at the beginning, not the middle, Mr. I'm an authority on semetic tradition.

  • Semitic even.

  • Wrong. The Biblical scholars have shown it is the bias and subjective of the Targum Onkolos which started this incorrect interpretation of the Council of the GODS (the ones IN HEAVEN, not on earth). The Hebrew verifies it is GODS being spoken of not humans.

  • Not in Judges or Psalms.......the Genesis verse is a mystery to Judaism as to why the term is used but it is still G-d's in untiy of a single and only one true G-d. Echod.....man your Hebrew sucks sorry to say.

  • It's not my Hebrew you dope, it's the Biblical schoalrs Hebrew. So far you have shown me nothing about your own Hebrew. Why don't you demonstrate some for me?

  • Biblical Hebrew is what the O/T was written in except for a few chapters in the Book Of Daniel and that is the Hebrew I am talking abut here. Demonstrate? Well I don't have a keyboard with Hebrew characters but sine you know it so much I can write the English characters so you can pronounce it. Then you tell me...

    Shema Ysrael,Adonai Elohenu Adonai Echod

    Haschem Leshcomba Arafelt

    try that

  • Yes, the Shema...... I am aware of over 20 ***deifferent*** translations and meanings of it. How come you love to pretend your take on it is the only accurate one?

  • Differnet translations? which ones? and how do they differ it at all? 20 different meanings? explain and cite the sources. what? are you that dilusional? and waht is the difference between tranlation and transmission and how significant is it.?

  • You, having Jewish heritage, have to ask me, a Mormon what the different translations of the SHEMA is?! Uh, we are talking about the SHEMA in Deuteronomy correct? You, of Jewish heriatge, have yet to learn the difference of translation and transmission?!? Either you are lying about your heritage, or your age. One cannot be as ignorant of things as you are and be over 6 years old.

  • uh no I am asking YOU because YOU are making these outrageous and untrue statemnets here... I am very Jewish so don't change the subject and answer the question. I know the difference between transmission and translation...so tell me of these "20" translations which one supports your polytheistic view..simple question sir.

  • Simple answer. In the Biblical scholarship. You show me how FARMS materials are a JOKE with a rigorous exegetical analysis, and I will show you the translations.

  • @Gideon6640 The Book of Abraham.

  • I'm interested in the Kabbalah...it's said that people accept the Catholic Mary as a way to reconnect with the feminine aspect of God, interesting :)

  • Actually Jaynagirl, the Kabbalah is seriously one of my favorite subjects. I know, I know, I say that about everything, but this one is really fascinating, and absolutely yes, without question, I am going to produce a gajillion vids on it! I have a LOT of the actual texts, and many commentaries, etc. So stay tuned and make it through the boring junk, and I shall get the good stuff son! LOL! GREAT to see you again!

  • It's far from boring...I just need to try and keep up, lol :) I could watch a gajillion vids on it though, hehe.

  • Well then we be a pair, cause I could make a gajillion vids. I make em, you watch em - woo hoo! In fact, just for you cause I like ya, I shall see if I can sneak a few in this weekend and upload em.

  • The Text from Canaanite Literature with possible reference to Yahweh:

    -------his son(s), Thor [ ]

And Ltpn, God of Mercy, replies: [ ]

"The name of my son is Yw-El [ ]."

And he proclaims the name of Sea [ ].

    They reply: "- - - [ ]

Thou art named 'Lord' [ ]

I am Ltpn, God [of Mercy, ]

Ugarit and Minoan Crete. by Cyrus Gordon pg.61

  • That's no fair. I don't have that source! GRIN!

  • BYP every time I watch your videos my book wish list gets longer!!!! Love stuff on Psalms 82 Cross got into that some!!! Ya shows up in Canaanite literature.

  • Well we are both and all in trouble because this is one of my favorite topics also. Woo hoo! Time to go blow more dough - GRIN!

  • Excellent mention of Metatron..That is a real interesting topic! I think he may have been converted into what we now think of the Satan. Possible but could be wrong.

  • Huh? I have never heard that. Metatron is Enoch who was then named as the "Little Yahweh," an interesting situation of a human being made Divine. Nah...... Metatron is certainly in the Godly arena, so far as I understand. I'm interested in seeing otherwise if there are some discussions about it though.

  • oK...I believe that when Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel have their visions, witnessing the council of the gods was a way of telling a true prophet!

Jer 23:18 כי מי עמד בסוד יהוה וירא וישׁמע את־דברו מי־הקשׁיב דברי וישׁמע׃

Excellent. This was great to watch after a long days work!

  • Yes! Um, was it Mullen? I think it was Mullen who elaborated on this really strongly. I shal check and make a vid on it. Man we are in for soe fun! There is a lot of materials here to cover.

  • You need to type all these up as a bibliography and post them. No more talking! Type, BYP, type!

  • Uh-oh.... I dunno if it will let me type all that up! LOL! I shall see what I can do. Thanks for the idea, and hope yer enjoyin the vids.
