3- Giant mirror in space, cheap reflective material that could be miles wide and long. If placed in orbit at right location, between line of site between earth and sun , it could reduce temperatures by a couple of degrees. If they really were concerned about CO2, they should pray for warming. All those snowplows/blowers spew alot of CO2 by having to clear vast numbers of parking lots, runways, city streets, alleys, highways, rural roads, and interstates - every time it snows (not to mention having to haul all that sand and salt) We also spew more CO2 into the air by having to heat our homes from up to -40 below to a livable level of approx 68.

Also, we barely have a long enough growing season the way it is.

I honestly don't know if global warming is man made or because of what the sun is doing. What I do know is that oil will run out soon and we need something to replace it. If people viewed this as an economic crisis people would be driven to make alternative energy effective and profitable. I don't like this "solution" of placing mirrors in space, because they would have to run massive computer programs to make sure that 1)the cooling would actually happen; 2)that the ecosystems wouldn't 'suffer' substantially from changing the amount of solar irradiance coming at the normal level.

The only thing to stop this is reducing fossil carbon fuels, and also device a way to "suck" the CO2 from the atmosphere, as it has been done in Norway.

I have seen that documentary and it didn't strike me as a great thing. To say that those people that reject the global warming theory are being practically isolated and bullied in the scientific environment is exaggerated. Channel 4, the one who made this video, is the same one that makes big brother, and lots of other lousy tv programs and sensationalist kind of journalism. One of the scientists interviewed there protested because his words were taken out of context, so C4 is not so reliable.
