  • she really can blow that horn

  • Wow, where was she when I was playing horn? :) Anyway, I have played this before and can say it is one big breathing exercise. The biggest pain was transcribing the notes since it is printed in E flat, or as the sheet music reads... Corno in Mi flat. I know it should be second nature, but I am just lazy like that.

  • MAMMA MIA !!!

  • that was beautiful!

but i dont like how you can tell when she pauses to take a breath :P

  • @xobellalove . In amateur recording, you're always gonna hear that. Hornist hast to breathe! Slow Tempo but she has beautiful tone.

  • @mlark4 yesss and I guess I sound like that when I play too ahha

  • emmmm......it is the second strauss concert ?!? Listen mr Allegrini, Vltckovic or Nalli.....per favore...

  • thumbs up! nice slurring, intonation needs a bit improvement.

  • go go go go :))))) ahahahaa

  • i'm not shure... i like it but i hate it too... i play the horn too and i love it...

  • De-freekin-lishious :-P

  • It's really nice to see women seriously perusing horn. Thank you for posting.

  • whats perusing?

  • *pursuing

  • For going into Master's in horn playing I assume, that was okay.. for horn playing in general MAGNIFICENT! Bravo!

  • Nice Job:-P

  • datti all ippica!

  • that was a great performance! that sounds like a really hard piece, but she played it really well! also, she's hot!

  • Not very often that you get a beautiful girl like this that can play this well. :) Well done.

  • Excellent!

  • Nice tone overall. I could never play too well standing up. I played this in junior high at a concert (sitting). She hit the high B flat well. Mainly the arpeggios needed some work. Nice effort.

  • this was really god, but there's a lot of movement up towards your mouth. try to keep your mouth staright and stand tall, but anyway really good

  • brava and beautiful! :-)

  • This was good. The phrasing could use a bit of work; that would remove some of the harshness folks were commenting on.

  • Really nice Brigitte!

  • Screw them. I really liked it. Ya the sound is a bit rough but I'm sure it's just the camera that was used.

  • horn1palmer, keep your sexist comments to yourself and offer some constructive criticism

  • very very god woman

  • A bit of a harsh sound, or maybe that was just the video quality or my volume control, and a couple of little splits, but overall quite good!

  • Ummmm interesante. Así es como no tocar la trompa. Bravo neno. Good. Deja la música.

  • intonationnnnnnn...die toene wackeln...mehr stabilitaet

  • I thought that the sustained parts were very nice, full tone, etc., but on the quicker notes we lost a lot of clarity, but that could be nerves or anything. Nice job.

  • She's bit nervous to start out with but after that she really gets the hang of it. Vibrato is a personal choice. The only time i do it is when i'm nervous and shaking so much it's accidental. I was once complemented on such use of vibrato when i was performing Glazenov's Reverie, haha!

  • wow she looks amazing too....doesnt happen to often a good looking female horn player

  • vibrato is to enhance the expression of the player to the piece,, and i think its up to a player to use a vibrato..

    romatic era...

  • I think vibrato is a player's personal choice. For me, I vibrate in every solo I play. Some do on some songs and some dont vibrate at all and think Horns arent meant to do so.

  • blew me away I thought the pitch was kinda funky though (that is not an insult u own!)

  • I am not saying that this was my favorite rendition of the piece ever but it was very good. Especially for a student. For all of those people who are just critisizing it like no tomorrow I would like to see you all get up there and do better.

  • you have definitely done your homework on this piece. When someone is bold enough to take on this piece that speaks volumes about the type of horn player you are. It says you are advance, determined, and have something special about you. I agree with the young man above, the 2nd concerto is a little harder than the first, very demanding. Both are advance though.

  • bandboy" the "young man above" is not a young man. And number 2 is much harder than number 1. But both are well within the capabilities of most modern players.

  • Nice effort. I also appreciate your dress and wonderful breath control. Another's comment that number two is technically less challenging than number one doesn't demonstrate a realistic understanding of the relative difficulties of the two concertos. Please show us more of this performance, and of the dress.

  • While I appreciate the performance effort, my comments-"dress and wonderful breath control" were more to do with a salacious aesthetic. Connoisseurs who are normal males will appreciate this distinction.

  • nice sound, and nice expression and use of vibrato. Good job.

  • thanks for sharing (multiple interpretations -_-)

  • nice. this piece is in my opinion technically easier that the first but musically much harder. the Dennis Brain recording is of course really good, but my favorite is actually one by dale cleavenger.
