  • On the way to Fort William we were awestruck by the scenery, snow capped mountains, giant casting shadows and endless beauty. WARNING just be ready for the roar and thunder of a Tornado fighter bomber over you head whilst driving. I did get my own back with a great photo of him approaching the commando memorial the next day.

  • I love Glencoe and I love Amy MacDonald! Win/win!

  • mon the scots!

  • @Tomgledhill1984 AYE! :L we ken the way hame!

  • Amazing drive :D and amazing scenery :) and a wonderful song :D

  • Glencoe alright.Who could possibly fail to recognise Buachalle Etive Mor on the left early in the video.Right side is Corbett. Beinn a Chrulaiste close to Kings House.3 Sisters futher down with Aonach Eagach on the right.

  • Point taken Spritefzr! BUT its titled 'Drive through Glencoe' and that is exactly what the video shows!!

  • I suppose it depends where class the start of Glencoe. I drove this very road yesterday (drive it quite a few times per year. The video starts on the road leading to Glencoe through Rannock Moor, some may argue its not actualy Glencoe. The first hill on the left is Etive Mhor with the triangular white sign on the right being the entrance to the Kingshouse.

  • the highlands are stunning. we drove up from norwich a few months ago. magical.

  • Thank you for this. We return every year . I love every inch of this road

  • Beautiful :)

  • No it is not! Its Amy MC Donald

  • erm its MacDonald dude !

  • BILLYBOB YOURE NAME SOUNDS LIKE YOUR SEXUAL MISSDEADS . this is glencoe SCOTLAND ,WAKE UP AND PULL YOUR TROUSERS UP MUSH HEAD

  • THIS IS GLENCOE,NO ARGUMENT. NO WHERE IN THE WORLD DOES THE ROAD OPEN UP LIKE THIS PLACE,EVEN NEW ZEALAND STRUGGLE TO MATCH THIS

  • I´ve been there 15 years ago. It´s such a beautiful country and all the scottish have been so friendly. I hope, I can go there again someday.

  • It's definately the A82 over from Rannoch Moor to Glencoe. Was only there last week on the bike. Anyone who says it isn't is an idiot. Mind blowing scenery. Bloody cold though ;-)

  • Have been there as well and it´s definetly Glencoe.i drove that road as well.

  • Anyone who says this is not Glencoe is just being a cretin. I think this video starts very near the Kings House Hotel going in the direction of Fort William. Great video....ignore the idiots.

  • @expattoffee

Yes...just where the van overtakes. you can see the entrance to the Kings House Hotel and you can see the hotel itself.

  • in usa people drive right side

  • I can't understand why some people doubt this is Glen Coe i've travelled throught many times i recognise the bends on the roads the bridges even the laybys, even the road works are there, right at the start you can see a sign on the left of the road for Glen Etive, the camera angle is too narrow and the film is a wee bit washed out but you are travelling through Glen Coe,Definitley

  • Me neither! Why would I post a video for driving through Glencoe if I was actually driving somewhere else!! DOH!! Its the road through GLENCOE in Scotland, where we drive on the left and to the twat that called me a road hog! My speed throughout was around 50mph (ten below the limit) which is a safe speed for this type of road!

  • only went a couple of weeks ago. absolutely stunning. dunno if it's more beautiful with or without the snow.

  • I'm taking the train from Glasgow to Ft. William in May. How do I get from Ft. William to Glencoe? I'm American and will have to rely on public transport..

  • Jimmy Savilles place is up near The Gorge of Eternal Peril as seen The Holy Grail by Monty Python. Glencoe is massive, is always impressive if you get out of your car at the bridge at the western end of the loch. You will be impressed.

  • drove it today ,so moving and what an experience

  • i drove it the same day you did :) i was drivin the wee blue ford ka if you seen me about, i went up to fort william too before thundering back down..

  • Glencoe in scotland can not get any better wat such a pretty and peacefull place to go! Nice video well done!!

  • What´s the song 5:40min on called?

I LOVE the Glencoe!!! Thanks a lot.

  • Its called "Lets start a band" by Amy McDonald.

  • Thanks!

  • The drive between Glencoe Mountain and GC Village is spectacular, the way the mountains rise steeply on either side of the road.

I drove thru there earlier today, it was a winter wonderland.

  • I live in Ballachulish and have been through Glencoe many times and I don't recognise any of this. Where's the loch and Jimmy Saville's cottage. Should be on the right about three miles out of Glencoe Village. I never saw that bridge either!!! Hmmm..

  • I have no idea which cottage Jimmy Saville lives in BUT ITS DEF THE ROAD THROUGH GLENCOE!

  • thats not glencoe i live in glencoe i been every where in glencoe thats not it

  • I can 100% guarantee that this video was shot while driving through Glencoe! What I cant do is prove that you are a 100% idiot. OPEN YOUR EYES

  • This Glencoe in SCOTLAND! Not Alabama Billybob!

  • It's Glencoe OK. From near Kingshouse Hotel to near Clachaig Hotel. A82 trunk road built by William Tawse Limited of Aberdeen in 1936

  • Maybe your thinking of Glencoe in the us! This is Glencoe in SCOTLAND

  • @scotia1962 Sadly some americans think that US is a center of the Universe and Europe is some small town on Alaska..

  • @billybob66699 Sorry to disagree but this IS Glencoe

  • Comment removed

  • @billybob66699

If it was alabama they would be driving on the right you redneck hillbilly piece of shit. im offended you thought it would be alabama.

  • haha I have been there :D it ´was great

  • Lovely flavour of this breathtaking road. When it's safe to attack it properly, this is probably my all-time favourite road to *drive*.

  • i DO love Glencoe..I would like to buy a little house in glencoe village..**

  • i keep on thinking that the people are going to hit you! but then i remember its the other side of the world. hahaha

  • Just driven through Glen Coe myself, and wow, just can't describe how amazing the whole area is. Just over-whelming (sp?)

  • Love that place :) always drive there to make myself smile

  • Excellent vid mate, is your camera fixed to the dash?

  • Camera wasn't fixed to the dash, simply just placed on the dash and smooth driving to keep it steady!

  • One draw back from driving though here, the amount of utter morons that risk all life and limb trying to get past you, something really does need to be done about these people. Good vid!
