well social distortion has never been hardcore,I dig 'em they're awesome but not hardcore. In their prime I'd probably say oi,or street punk,now way more rockabilly then punk,still good though. If someone was looking for actual hardcore they'd be listening to blood for blood,sick of it all,earth crisis,hagis,bound for glory and maybe a bit of hatebreed. remember there are many genres of punk so saying hardcore for everything just makes you sound dumb :)
